“What a great local spot for a bite to eat!! We were just passing through and stopped for a late lunch. They had some daily specials which sounded wonderful, but we didn't want a big meal. We opted for a cheeseburger and a patty melt and French fries. Everything was delicious! Fries were super hot, crispy and fresh. Burgers were cooked nicely - not over done. Everything tasted fresh and the patty melt was really good too.

This is an order at the counter and serve yourself style cafe, so there is no table service, but the setup works well for the vibe of the place. The food comes out quickly, the space is clean, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming.

Overall, Northstar Cafe delivered a delicious and enjoyable experience. Great food, great desserts, and a casual style that makes it easy to sit back and enjoy your meal. Five stars.“

The restaurant gives off a charming yet cozy feel, with moody dim lighting and a big crackling fireplace in the center of the dining room that makes you feel at home🤎 we also had the most incredible and accommodating server, shoutout to Jay who hand wrote his favorite Columbus foodie recommendations out for us since we’re new to the area!!! NOW ONTO DINNER: the iron skillet cheddar biscuits are an absolute must!! Served warm and brushed with salted better, they’re just delicious👌🏽followed by the grilled artichokes served with an excellent creamy remoulade!! We also ordered the Hollywood Salad and the Barbequte pork ribs- the meat was fall of the bone tender and the coleslaw + fries complemented the dish perfectly!! “I had the nicest dining experience this afternoon! I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. It was warm and inviting after a 10 minute walk in the frigid air. My server, Casey, was exceptional. She was friendly, helpful, funny and heartwarming. I felt like she was a friend. She recommended a delicious drink, appetizer and pasta dish that were all beyond compare. She has great taste. “Have been wanting to try this place forever and finally made it in today with my best friend, what a disappointment. Their posted hours show open till 2:30 pm, we arrived at 1:50 (plenty of time for some pancakes and coffee.) The weight staff was in full on cleanup mode and made it Very obvious they were done working for the day with the way we were greeted. I ordered decaf coffee and was told there was none left so decided to have regular and then didn't even get a full cup of that. At $4.99 a pop I need a full cup. I looked at my friend and said "they don't want to wait on us they are annoyed that they are already cleaning up and we came in" she agreed so when the server came back I politely said "we will just elsewhere we can tell you're cleaning up for the day" There was no "oh you are fine, you still have 40 minutes" or anything like that there just " are you sure?" We left and headed down the street to Delaney's Diner who would also be closing in about an hour at 3 PM but a TOTALLY different vibe. Greeted with a smile from the person at the hostess stand and 2 of the chefs even looked over and smiled and said welcome come on in! We looked at each other and said much better, we are definitely in the right place now. I've heard nothing but good things about the pancakes at the Pancake House I only wish I would have got to experience them But being treated well is more important to me than food. I understand wanting to be done work for the day believe me but it wasn't like we walked in with 3 minutes till closing. Oh well 🤷‍♀️“

“Great food, lots of fine dinners to choose from. Their bison steak is the best I've had anywhere! I had some garlic mashed potatoes and steamed carrots with that and some lemonade. I've dined in this place before, ate bison burgers but this time I opted for their bison filet steak, and it was delicious. The whole meal was. Facilities are clean, now with soap dispensers placed around for your convenience. I hadn't been to this area since Covid hit and that has changed everything but I'm happy this restaurant is still in business. I came to eat there because I wanted to eat a fine meal before seeing the German band Kraftwerk that evening. The waitress was very quick in serving the food and very friendly. Sure, the dinners may be more expensive and there's not many restaurants in the Nationwide Arena area now, but why not go for something unique and special to add to your fun day? I have eaten here before and after attending events such as hockey games, Phil Collins, Bruce Springsteen, RUSH, (Jeff Lynne's) ELO, Adam Ant, Noel Gallagher and more throughout the Arena District. I'm glad this place is still around after all that's occurred during the past few years, and I highly recommend it to anyone who attends any event in the Arena District. It's as good as it ever was, maybe better. Food, service, atmosphere, cleanliness - ***** out of five. I will certainly eat at this place again, just as I have at previous times. Kudos! 😋🙂😇“

“Drove by while out and about looked cool so checked the menu online and decided to stop in. Great decision the staff was friendly and the food was excellent! Decided to try their Sunday 10oz new york strip for 16.99 and it was one of the best cooked steaks I've had in a long time. I had their fries which they make in house so good! All in all 5 stars 🌟“

It truly adds to the experience, I enjoyed my meal a little bit more than usual just because of her warm and friendly energy! “When you see a place with a small menu, you know you can pick anything and be satisfied. In this case I had the Thai Burrito and was thoroughly pleased with juicy chicken, delicious veggies and rice, and a fantastic peanut sauce to boot.
The restaurant itself has a very particular vibe. It's both current and clean, yet it feels like a place from the 80s.“

“We always love Firebirds! Tonight we had to wait for a bit for our party of 8 even though we had a RSVP. This isn’t normal, and the manager comped some items for us to make up for it. We really appreciated that gesture! The food was amazing as always, the seasonal hot chocolate cinnamon roll was so yummy. I almost always get the filet and it’s cooked perfectly with the right amount of seasonings to enhance the flavor of the steak every time. Ethan was our server tonight and he was kind and very attentive! He made sure to get the littles’ food out ASAP which was great. Great dinner and great service on a busy Saturday night!“
