“I’ve been coming here for a couple years. It is a gem of a place. You cannot find better food for this price downtown or anywhere else in general. Every member of the team there is very friendly and has nailed customer service. Today I was inspired to write this review because I saw the chef making some French toast. He was treating the motions with so much care, attention, and grace, it was like watching an artist at work. It is clear the people here take pride in their work, and you can taste it. Cincinnati is lucky to have this place!“

“Today I traveled from Florida to Cincinnati. My sister and I wanted to get a bite to eat . We didnt want to get fast food that you could get on every corener . While leaving the airport I Googled restaurants close by . There were several to choose from however, we decided on Pig Candy BBQ this restaurant did not disappoint. The food was amazing ( we had the special which was the brisket sandwich) this sandwich was very tender and full of flavor. If you are just traveling through or a local or feel up to a drive this is definitely worth your time .The staff knows what customer service means . All around Great food and service. “I can’t say enough good things about Chaske and the whole Brown Bear team. Their cinnamon rolls are the best on the planet, and therefore are mine and my (now) husband’s favorite dessert. So when we got engaged and started planning our wedding, we were both crossing our fingers to be able to have Brown Bear cinnamon rolls for our guests — and Chaske made our dreams come true!! The cinnamon rolls were such a hit, and we were delighted to have our favorite dessert for our special day. I can’t thank this team enough for making the magic happen. Burrata and tomato jam was basically an amazing caprese, sooo good. We also had truffle mushrooms which we added to dumpling broth, YUM! and also had the perfect broccoli with just an ok aioli. Was unimpressed with crab avocado toast, not worth the expense. Have had a a lot of crab food options s and this underwhelmed. “Taj Mahal has the best flavor on their chicken tikka masala in the tri-state area. Order the 2nd hottest heat level and you will be so happy. It is just the right amount of heat, but more importantly the DEPTH of the spices is very flavorful and savory. Many places in the area just throw in more chili powder at the higher heat levels. Taj Mahal adds more heat as well as anuthentic Indian spices. 10/10 😁“

“After a terrible first dinner in town at Nicola's (food was great, service was bad enough to never return), my business partner and I kept our fingers crossed before going to Abigail Street for dinner the next night. What a breath of fresh air. The hummus was the perfect consistency, and the mussels were divine. Our server, I think his name was John, was a treasure. Kudos to Abigail Street for restoring our faith in Cincinnati restaurants.“

“YouTube suggested this Malaysian restaurant and I am glad that we drove to give a try. It is the best and authentic Malaysian restaurant I had so far. Server is so friendly and introduced food perfectly. Hot teh Tarik served with warm temperature so you could enjoy the drink right away, it is a sweet touch. Roti canai is good, sambal is spicy and lentil curry is good. Curry noodle has spicy kick with a touch of coconut milk and the chicken is nice. Noodle with bbq pork and wanton is delicious. Bbq pork is authentic and delicious. Nasi lemak with beef rendang doesn’t disappoint as well. Beef rendang is cook to perfection, tender with all the spice flavor blended perfectly. Highly recommend this restaurant if you miss Malaysian food.“

“My wife and I frequent Maplewood on the weekends for brunch. There are many options in downtown/OTR/northern Kentucky for breakfast on the weekends, but Maplewood is our favorite. The menu has a nice variety of American breakfast options, as well as healthier alternatives. We love the Guajillo Bowl and Mediterranean Bowl, but the Maplewood Hash is also delicious if you are in the mood for something a little heavier. The GM, Erik, often recognizes us and welcomes us back. Erik and his staff always do a great job with service, and mitigating the crowded weekend mornings. Bring back the Chicken Tiga!!! Note: It's first come, first serve seating and you are supposed to wait in line and order before being seated. However entitled guests sometimes circumvent the line and save tables for the rest of their party waiting at the back of the line, whom have yet to order. This often throws off the flow of available tables, because the people whom waited in line and just ordered, now do not have a table. It can get busy here on weekends, but if you go, don't be one of these people, please wait in line like everyone else. The line moves quickly and the staff turns over the tables quickly as well. The couple of times this has happened to us, the staff promptly sat us at the bar and gave us a discount on our breakfast.“

“I was in town and Agave & Rye was recommended to me. I stopped in on 9/10/22 talked with Emma the hostess and explained I was having a few friends to stop by not sure how many between five and ten. She accommodated me at the high rise table back by the windows which was perfect for my nine guest. Sarah was our excellent server, she continually checked in on us even thou I saw her working outside as well. Our drinks were awesome and our food was really good. Next time I am in town I will definitely return here.“

“I’ve been here a couple times and absolutely loved it. It’s a good place to get a hearty breakfast and a good cup of coffee. The food is good, the service is outstanding and despite the place being a bit cramped at time it’s cozy. I particularly recommend this one thing I had that I think was called the Flying Pig. It was ham and swiss on french toast, and while that sounds weird it was absolutely delicious. Definitely check this place out if you can.“

“We’ve been to Fireside before and the pizzas and salads are great as always. But we tried the canolas for desert this time. Don’t wait as long as we did to try them, they were exceptional.“

The muffins look tasty, but they are even better than they look. They are the kind of good that if you think of them you might find yourself traveling long distances to go get one.
