“Great find! Would never have guessed a gem in a little strip mall. Super clean and tastefully decorated. (I am bias to Roosters however) Top notch service! The place was hopping and the staff stayed on top of it. Chefs super friendly and thanked us for coming. Food was promptly brought out hot, coffee cup was never empty. Great selection of breakfast items, we wanted to try everything! Reasonably priced! Highly recommend! Please support local establishments like The Sleepy Rooster!“

“First the good things. The menu is fun and has a lot of options. Our food was very good, we both had a seafood dish and the wood fired oysters is a tasty app. The drinks were also well made and tasty. The mediocre things. The staff was professional and efficient, but with no warmth or friendliness. I definitely prefer efficiency over chatty and forgetful, but they seemed overwhelmed and miserable. Finally, the seating is cramped and uncomfortable. This is more like communal seating than a private meal. Also, over a dozen staff members bump into my chair throughout dinner, which I am sure displeased them as much as me. In summary; great food, but about as comfortable as eating on a public bus at rush hour.“

“Food is good, however in the past they along with other restaurants showed appreciation for Veterans by offering a complimentary meal to the Veteran(s) on Veterans Day. They don't do that anymore. Now its a complimentary ice cream desert and a gift card for an appetizer for your next visit. Don't come here Veterans... dont come here on Veterans Day. Go to Outback or Applebee's where you can actually feel appreciated the one day out of the year.“

“It was our first time visiting this establishment and we will definitely return. The food (crab cake, blackened snapper, and lobster ravioli w/shrimp) all flavorful with nice portion size. The drinks (old fashion, blackberry peach margarita and blood orange side car) made by Ashley were exactly how they needed to be. Our server Ebony was great, very attentive and gave honest recommendations. We were even gifted an extra meal that we were thankful for.“

I was expecting flavor fireworks, but it was more like a flavor fizzle. The avocado was the highlight though! The fries were fresh and tasty, and the house-made ranch? Chef’s kiss. “The food was really good, the two gentleman that served us was awesome! I I just didn’t like that. They seated me in the bar area and it was my fiancé’s birthday and I also made reservations. We didn’t get the candle light or the heated patio, the romantic things so I was, unhappy about that.“

“This was my first visit to Campola's.
Al had taken my reservation and also welcomed us warmly when our party of five arrived. Turns out that he also made our food and helped to serve it with smiles. Our table on the patio was set and ready for us when we arrived, and water was brought immediately without asking, as were extra napkins. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. Each of us chose a different type of food, and all of us thought that what we had was delicious...from the pepperoni roll appetizer, to pizza, to a cheesesteak sandwich, to pasta dishes, and cannoli for dessert. One friend gave me a taste of one of her meatballs, and it was so tender and tasty...I think I'll have to come back for a pasta dish with those meatballs! When we were nearing the end of our meal, a very nice gentleman arrived and sang and played nice songs on guitar. He was not too loud so that we could still socialize together. “Thankfully they were open late because we needed somewhere moderately priced with decent food to take my brother out for a birthday dinner. The food was a B-, service could have definitely been better and the atmosphere was average. Drinks could improve and steaks ordered were reasonable. This place isn't reinventing the wheel but sometimes you just want a place where you know the food is consistent and tastes the same every time you order it.“

“My first visit was a resounding success! I ordered the fish sandwich and fries along with an order of soul rolls. The fish was delicious and I was really full from it, but I had to bite into one of the soul rolls. Before I knew it, I had ate half of it and I knew I was full already. It was just so delicious that I couldn’t stop taking bites. Everything was prepared fresh and I didn’t wait long either. I definitely recommend them and will be back myself.“

Moved to CLE from the dirty south and had the hardest time finding good food up here. Then I found Calypso's. They got the flavor, the spices, aaaaaaallll the sauce, and the sweetest employees. How such a small joint can be pushing out so much goodness is a wonder to me, and I loooove it!!!“
