“Backyard was recommended to me to try out. 100% worth your trip. I started off with a small order of the Mahi Mahi. I may say without any hesitation, some of the absolute BEST I have ever had. Served on a stone plate with a side of soy sauce and ginger. Then I got the small Memphis pizza. Came out perfectly sliced. It had the wood burning stove markings on the crust. Very flavorful. 10/10 definitely recommend! I definitely will be back!“

“Great food and I love the retro diner feel. Me and my wife had the southwestern egg rolls, fried cheese curd and munchers. Everything was delicious and I can't wait to go back and try more of their options. Service only received 4 stars because we had to wait to order a bit too long when they weren't that busy.

“Stopped in to pick up pizza for my house full of children on a whim. We got TERRIFIC customer service with smiling faces from Dustin and Rebecca. They both had gone above and beyond to make sure they suggested the best deals for the best prices. I can't dote on those two enough. Every single time I've been to that particular store, those specific employees are always willing to help with kindness, and humor along the journey. The pizzas were perfect for my picky eaters. “I know the holidays are hard on service workers. but my 75 year old mother ordered from here once a week always. she gets her and dad antiposta salads every week. they messed them up. I know it was not in purpose. but my mom asked that they please send the right one and was denied this. they said they would but only at 10 pm and only if she drove half way to meet them. this was a 8pm this was her dinner. they go to bed by 10. I am so disappointed in them. she didn't get to eat last night. I want them to do something about this and I don't want them to be rude to them again. I hope you can fix this because they love your place. and this is not right. I expect to hear from you. period“

I won’t go into to much detail because I know I had a one off incident, but, Lori went above and beyond to help me with a solution and did so quickly! She deserves a raise!!“

The cheese sticks are good as well and the dipping sauce reminds me of gattiland but that's not a bad thing for me. Prices were reasonable and you get a good amount.“

Only downside when building is, you'll have to speak a bit louder than normal due to the oven going, but that's the only down side at all.

“I live abroad but am an Ashland native. When I come home annually first meal I wanna have besides family home cooking is Giovannis- the name that made me fall in love with pizza! And nostalgia be damned, the recipe has gotten better with time! The sauce/cheese/bread is perfectly balanced. I was picking up but the inside was gearing up for a lively Friday night of live local country music and I tell ya I nearly opened the box then and there. “They took our order...we waited forever.. I called asking where the order was, only to be told they didnt know, it didn't look like it was placed!!!! I said I can send you screenshots of how long i was on phone while I placed said order..they said they was closed and that a GM would contact me.. keep in mind this was my daughters graduation night and all my kids and her friends that was staying over fell asleep hungry..waiting!!! They never contacted me today, so after work I called... only to be on hold two separate times total of 28 minutes, only to be told very rudely by a so called manager Chris that they didnt take a card payment so it wasnt his problem. I was treated beyond horribly. The so called manager said that if it wasn't paid for with card or paid for it was not their problem... who cares if they took our order..told us it would be delivered within 45 minutes...it is not their problem.. I was talked to like a dog so I responded back the way I was being talked to...he hung up on me. It's just really horrible because our kids did favor Marcos pizza but we will NEVER order again. You would think a family that orders so often they would treat better bc we gave them alot of business but.....absolutely not...they do not care about this business or clientele at all! I do not recommend them at all!!!!!!! customer service is definitely not a top priority for them, in fact anything that goes wrong it's not their problem ....the customer is the burden! update : it's 5/28/23 and still nothing. DO NOT PUT YOUR MONEY INTO A PLACE THAT COYLD CARE LESS IF YOUNGET YOUR ORDER ...IF YOU ARE HAPPY WITH SAID ORDER AND MOST OF ALL NEVER REACH OUT AFTER HAVING SUCH A HUGE PROBLEM! “thank you to the manager who stopped the cashier from skipping my father in line to hold her fresh pizzas for the friends that drove up. We have been coming here since before the location moved. In the last 3 months weve been given cold food. uncut pizzas and one was so misshapen on the dough it fell apart causing a burn . we never complained and just hoped with training the quality would return. Today our food was hot and delicious but it was obvious if not for his intervention my father would have been forced to wait in this heat because SHE wanted to hold it for someone else.
