“I got the Tony and it was excellent. The menu is limited, might want to expand sandwich choices even just using different combinations of the same meats / cheeses and toppings. Sides and salads are limited, again might want to look at expanding. The grocery concept, I get it biggest complaint of downtown residents is lack of a grocery store. There selection is limited and didnt look like they covered the basics. I would either get in or out of thar business and maybe focus on being a sandwich shop.“

“Wow. First time eating at Grist. The ambiance is relaxing/chill. The menu selection is on the smaller side....but there's a reason....cause everything they make is outstanding. We started with meatballs. I shared them with the table of 8. Everyone loved them. My wife ordered the Rosemary & Parmesan Focaccia bread...best bread I have ever had! Wife is a bread snob and she loved it. Wife ordered Tagliatelle alla Bolognese. She shared some with me. It was very good. She really liked it. I ordered the Slow Roasted Pork Raviolini. Wow. It was incredible. Wife said it was a lil spicy...but oh...the taste. She loved it as did everyone there...we shared so everyone could taste it. Wife ordered tiramisu. She loved it. I'm not a lover of tiramisu but I liked it. I got a cannoli. It was very good. I also got a chocolate chip cookie. It was great. Grist is definitely a hidden Dayton gem. If you love Italian food...you will love Grist.“

“The sub was fresh and tasted good. It was exactly what I ordered. Place was clean. Took a while to order, though, because the guy in front of me (we were the only two in line) ordered 8 subs and the worker walked away after making his sandwiches and I had to wait while the other worker called him to come back before I could order. Once they finally took the order, it was fine. The food was good enough to overcome the experience of ordering.“

“This is the Subway located in downtown Franklin, OH. Everyone is always friendly and work hard to meet the demand of midsize and even large groups. The only drawback for these type groups is lack of available parking. The crew does a great job, though and the food is always good.“

On occasion there is one young lady that makes me feel like I'm a nuisance for being a customer and tells me they can't do basic things that other employees do gladly, like a bit extra toasting is taking up her time. The store is generally well kept and clean and items are always fresh but lately lacking in variety they once had. I hope this doesn't mean change. Subways been a favorite since I was a kid and I love the nostalgia and that they stay true to their original values rather than changing with the times like so many other chains have. As a matter of fact, a sub with ONLY provolone cheese on it. This is when I ran into Brady, a graduate from the local high school. From the moment I made my order I knew my sub was in safe hands. I watched in awe as he skillfully cut the bread into two symmetrical loaves and placed my sweet provolone on one slice at a time. “I went on 6/26/25 and it was pouring down rain. There was a puddle of water on the floor with no wet floor sign. I took a while to review the new menu and wanted to an Italian BMT however I wanted to substitute the ham for turkey. I asked the girl and if this was possible and she thought about it and then said she couldn’t do it. Since when was it made to where meats couldn’t be substituted or that I couldn’t customize my sandwich the way I wanted? I couldn’t even do it through the app or remove anything. What if someone is allergic to something? Do they still have to get it or prove the allergy at this point.“
