“I'm a regular have eaten at Grist at least twenty times and it's ALWAYS good. This restaurant crafts the most amazing, 100% homemade, unique culinary delights that are so far elevated beyond what you typically find around downtown or even Dayton at large. The dishes, soups, and desserts are consistently excellent. While the service is usually fast, when they are busy, the food can take a while. I once waited nearly thirty minutes for a sandwich. They apologized and gave me one of their amazing chocolate chip cookies to make up for the long wait. The price can be a touch high for a lunch, but the quality and portion sizes are there. I see a lot of new staff so I can tell the owners are working on the improving their processes and service speed. Also the staff are always super nice and helpful. Thank you Grist for being in downtown Dayton.“

“I've been here a couple of times, and have been blown away with each item I've tried. In fact, this place may have the best sandwiches I've ever had. I've tried the cold cut trio, the Tony, and the Gabagool. Each was unique in their flavor combinations, but all hit the same height in terms of taste and quality. Definitely will be looking to try each menu item.In addition to the really, really good food, the atmosphere is great. The small, curated grocery section was fun to look at, the place is decorated really well, and the service was amazing. The person taking our order was extremely welcoming and helpful, and I believe the owner came by and cleared our table and offered us a to-go bag. Just nice little touches that make all the difference.Pay no mind to those 1-star reviews below. This place is definitely a 5/5.“

“I lived around the corner from them on Maryland ate there quite often food is always fresh love their grilled burgers all other subs are great they're just all around great food everything is made fresh whether it be from a burger to french fries soup everything is made on a daily very clean business inside staff is always friendly sometime there's a wait but it's worth it has a small dining room and back always quite cozy if you've never been there you're missing out old North Dayton's Finer Spot as far as I'm concerned. Chris keep up the good work with your Mama and your Great Staff.“

“This was my first visit here. First of all the young lady who waited on me should be the poster girl for what proper customer service should be. She was very helpful in assisting me with making my selections, and just very courteous overall. The food was excellent and the facility itself very, very clean. Definitely will not be my last time here.“

“The employee we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. The food itself is just okay. I ordered the godfather sub, just the way it comes. The bread looked a little black, and tasted fairly bland. The sandwich was well seasoned, but even with all of the juices leaking out, the sandwich still tasted very dry and too salty. The cookies though..a absolutely different breed. Literally probably the best restaurant cookie I’ve ever eaten. Overall I’d recommend you give this place a try. You may like it more than I did. No matter what though, get a cookie. The prices are a little high, but honestly nothing too insane with the current prices of everything being expensive right now.“

“Excellent place for a quick sub. Bread is good, ribbon cut lettuce is excellent. They also slice all your cheeses and meats right in front of you. The Wilmington Pike store seems to have really good management.Vegetarian options: Great place to grab a cheese sandwich on the go“

“Jersey Mike’s Subs brought the fire this evening! My wife and I split an Italian sub, and it was off the hook. The bread was perfect, the sandwich was packed full of goodness, and the service was ridiculously good. Aaron “A-Aron”was slinging sandwiches like a champ and keeping up with the barrage of people that followed my wife and I in! He did a great job for you all tonight. We’ll definitely be back!“

“Above and beyond! I’ve eaten at dozens of Jersey Mike’s locations across the country and this one by far, is the best! The dining room was spotless even during a busy lunch rush. The service was super friendly and lightning fast. The staff here is very friendly. And my sub? Delicious! Thanks guys!“

“We've recently moved to the area and enjoy a good sandwich. We've been here a few times and each visit was a positive one. The staff, albeit young, are very professional and courteous. They are efficient and able to get your order completed without rushing the process or making a huge mess. We've yet to experience any errors to our sandwiches despite each having modifications. Even when busy, you won't be waiting too long at all.The store is clean and there is plenty of parking available. We won't hesitate to return at any point.“

“The place had a old-fashioned vibe. I like the open kitchen concept where you can see a long kitchen under bright light. The guy taking my order was slightly awkward, but I mean it was pretty late so it was slowing down quite a bit. Cheesesteak sandwich and onion rings were both hot and tasty. I will give it a 5*.“

“We started going for trivia on Monday nights. Rob does a great job as trivia host. When we are able to play trivia, the servers do a great job and the food is good. We don't play every Monday so I have to call to reserve a table for trivia when we do play . This week I called three times to try to reserve a table for trivia starting six days ahead of the day we wanted to play. I was promised call backs to confirm whether we got the table which I never received. When I called the third time (Friday before trivia Monday), I was told there was no room for us. It is getting too frustrating to try to get a table for trivia on Monday nights.UPDATE - I did get a call from Aubrey offering us a table for trivia after a cancellation. I appreciated that follow up and service. I am sure it is difficult to juggle the demand for tables on trivia nights.“

“One of my favorite lunch spots. I swear it doesn't matter what I order it is always amazing. My go to is the pick 2 for around $11.00 I got a loaded max spud and the veggie chili. Note the veggie chili was really good, but do not pass up on the broccoli cheese soup. Always clean and the service is always friendly and quick.“

“I don't post much, but this was the best Subway sandwich I've ever had. The employees were friendly, but that was just a small bonus. They took their time to make evenly spaced sandwiches. Hourly employees that seemed to care. As lame as this sounds, every bite was a perfect mix of meat, cheese, and veggies.“

“Easy to order online, friendly staff, pick up is a breeze. Love that my fries are dropped fresh!Don’t change that. Order is always right, sandwiches are perfectly cooked. The grilled club is awesome and they have one of the better cheesesteaks for a chain.“
“So the sub sandwich is good but honestly apart from the shear size, the contents are basically very similar to other chains but for a bigger price tag. Staff friendly and nice enough, but I openly laughed when in the restroom and taking pictures in toilets is really not my thing but I couldn't pass this opportunity up! Bravo to the designers here and the whle branch was clean and tidy, but been there a few times now and it's just always only 1 or two people in at any one time, and the atmosphere is just a bit stale.Vegetarian options: Get the subs but no meat. Have it your way!Dietary restrictions: Ask if there are specific food items but it's pretty much of 'what you see Is what you get'.Parking: Spare space for plenty, at least 10 cars plus a drive thruKid-friendliness: Fine to take kids, it's not posh and they have a high. ChairWheelchair accessibility: Access is ok, pretty sure it's a pull door to get in but can stand corrected if they have an automatic button too.“

“I love this place a 1000 times over. Cheap beer on tap, cold and good. The sandwiches are out of this word. Wish I lived in Dayton so I could come here more often. Well maybe not because I'd probably weigh 100 pounds more. Simple but awesome. If I owned a restaurant, I'd want it to be like this.“

“We've been going to Subby's here in Springboro for a long time. Never had any issue with the folks working here and always been happy with the sandwiches and the chili. The primary reason we choose to go here over the numerous other sandwich shops is due to the chili. I don't know what spices are in it but it is delicious. It's almost a craving thing. I get the chili with cheese(small blocks of provolone and mushrooms. The lovely Mrs just gets the chili with the knot thing added is the crackers they provide with it. Give them a try. You can start a frequent flyer card that gets you a free 6" sub after ten sandwich purchases.“

“Penn Station is one of the very few places I'm always in the mood for. My typical order consists of a pizza sub, and a large serving of fries that me and my family shares. The difference between Penn Station and another sub place is Subway is night and day. Penn Station's pizza subs have WAY more pepperoni than Subway's, and Subway's has just too much sauce it in that ends up spilling onto your wrapper. The Penn Station pizza sub has a way more smoky flavor as well closer to that of an actual pizza, whereas Subway's is more closer to an actual sandwich. On top of that, Penn Station's fries are some of, if not, the single best fries I've had in my life. They're have the perfect, and I mean perfect, amount of crispy and saltiness to them that no other restaurant I've had has been able to surpass. If you get Penn Station, you have to get the fries.Vegetarian options: Penn Station's vegetarian selection is pretty limited, the only things that really don't have any meat in them are the grilled veggie sandwich and salad. With the grilled veggie sandwich you are seemingly allowed to customize it, which does expand your pallet a little. This means that if you were vegetarian and went to Penn Station you would either have to have a grilled vegetable sandwich or a salad, with a side of fries, a cookie, or of course, nothing. Giving you a total of six possible combinations.Parking: This Penn Station has a pretty big parking lot, I haven't really noticed how many cars are in the parking lot at any given moment but I can't really imagine that it's going to be too much of an issue.Kid-friendliness: If your kid likes sandwiches or Subway than they're pretty much guaranteed to like Penn Station.“

“This food is very good and the ingredients are starting to get fresher and more delicious. I have noticed the increased business the store has been getting at this location, and all of the additions you guys have made to the store. Just one suggestion, add one of those big soda machines firehouse subs has. You have the space and it would make subway all around better than firehouse subs. Just a suggestion. Thank you.“

This place is gas and everything tastes good. their soda machine thingy is also really cool. only complaint i have is it’s not that big of a place and they can’t even do anything about that. What a great place.Vegetarian options: they have a few things for you vegetariansKid-friendliness: very friendly to me and i’m a kid they friendly to my other friend and my family tooParking: Very good place and good parking comes with it also. Ginormous parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible they’ll make it workDietary restrictions: They got stuff“
“First time eating here for lunch. Being I work in that area a lot, I normally go to DLM. But so tired of DLM. But for some reason, all that Money in that area, and nowhere really to get a quick lunch. So Jimmy Johns was good. Wish I would of got more Italian dressing on My sub(which I did ask for) and the prices are outrageous. For 1 sub(not the big one) was $13+. And It's not a big sub at all. Left Me still hunger at lunch. I won't be going back to any Jimmy Johns unless They somehow make that right by Me. Because it was very disappointing.“
