“I work nearby and sometimes I like to take coffee breaks at Troubadour. I prefer small high quality places for my breaks which, in my opinion, offer a very different experience than chain coffee shops like Starbucks or DD. I consistently get high quality espresso drinks at Troubadour (Cortado is my standard). Atmosphere is great for a quick read or computer work. They have an outdoor patio that I tried in the summer and it was fabulous (of course the great weather that day helped 😅). I honestly recommend this place very highly for coffee lovers who have an interest in trying different espresso drinks at small specialty places.“

“The drinks are A+ every single time. Hot or cold, doesn’t matter. The real banger however, is the bakery. It’s probably the best vegan bakery I known of in Lakewood, or NE ohio. It’s always delicious. Whoever the baker and chef is/are, they truly know how to create desserts that are bliss. It takes real talent and thats why I continue to go here anytime I’m in Lakewood. That’s saying a lot as Lakewood has like 500 coffee shops, many of which are awesome. But this place always gets my vote for best. The aluminum cups being reusable are just one more perk. The atmosphere is also the pure old vintage feel of Lakewood. Baristas always nice. The drinks are also consistent regardless of who is making it. If Propaganda was everywhere like Starbucks, the world would be a better place.

Vegetarian options: 100% vegan. Have not tried the meals, only the desserts and pastries. It’s all delicious. Have yet to try anything I didn’t love. The donuts are out of this world. Expensive but worth every penny. I promise!

Parking: Usually park at meter in front or directly across the street. If not, the lot adjacent works. Never been a problem for me no matter the time of day or day of week.“

“I love this place! I have been getting into tea recently and this place has anything a tea enjoyer could hope for. Plenty of delicious blends, tea equipment, mugs and so forth. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable if you have any questions about what is in a particular blend. The bags themselves also have recommended temperatures and steep times depending on the tea you buy. They offer discounts if you buy in bulk and have a section of discounted teas as well. Overall, this is a fantastic place to go if you're looking to buy things regarding tea and I strongly recommend it!“

I can’t recommend Blackbird Bakery enough—not just for their delicious baked goods, but for their outstanding customer service. I recently had an issue where my order was accidentally incomplete (to be fair, I should have checked my bags), but they handled it with such care and professionalism that I’m a loyal customer for life.

As soon as I reached out about the missing items, they were prompt to reply and even followed up with a text to ensure everything was resolved when I was slow to respond. When I arrived to pick up the forgotten items, they had everything ready for me, no questions asked. It was such a seamless and thoughtful resolution.

On top of that, their baked goods are truly excellent. Every bite is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. Mistakes happen, but it’s how a business handles them that truly matters—and Blackbird Bakery has set the gold standard. Highly recommend!

It's a nice alternative to going to a bar in my opinion and it's wonderful to have all of these options for social non-alcoholic feel-good beverages to enjoy with friends. “Had to visit our favorite coffee shop for National Coffee Day. Got a warm sit down coffee for once, their Jack O'Latte. Later came back and got an iced Mocha special. Syrups are very flavorful and drinks are balanced, and seasonal offerings are creative. Crepes are hit or miss but not the main reason I visit. We love the Alfajore cookies the have available and local art is always for sale. Air quality remains good with outside seating and the door frequently open.“

“You can't go wrong with this bakery! We needed a cake that same day, and since I had been meaning to try Great Scott's Bakery before, I took the opportunity to call him and see if there was any chance that he had a chocolate and peanut butter cake on hand. He then said that he would be able to make us one from scratch, and in the time frame that we needed it, which was in a few hours! Perfect. We gave him the name for the top of the cake and left it at that. Scott got it done in record time. Went to pick it up and it was beautiful. He had gone above and beyond to make a stunning, one of a kind cake that, might I add, tasted fabulous! Could not have asked for anything more and the birthday boy was so happy with his cake! That was the best chocolate peanut butter cake we've ever had. Soft peanut butter frosting, rich chocolate ganache, and moist chocolate cake, fully decorated, in short notice, on a Saturday! I can't recommend Great Scott's bakery enough and we'll be back for every special occasion cake, and all their other yummy goodies! The cassata cakes look amazing“

“We stopped in to the Burning River while on vacation for the weekend. While the coffee and tea we had were amazing it was the service that really blew us away. “Was in town for a baseball game, found this place nearby on our way home, and we couldn't have been happier. The donuts were great, so many to choose from. Prices were fine, but I'm fine to pay a little more to not have other chain donuts with less exciting options. If I'm ever back in town, I'm returning to this place. Kid friendly atmosphere, not a ton of room to eat inside or for parking, but I believe it fits the venue as not many probably choose to eat inside and they will get you out the door quickly if desired, so parking lot will empty soon enough for others. Give this place a try. There is something inside for most everyone.“

“Such a fun and colorful establishment! I try and come here whenever I’m in the area. They have such a variety of flavors and they are cake donuts which are my favorite! The donut names are just as fun and creative as the flavors themselves. Whatever flavor topping you choose they are made to order as you choose. We got a dozen for $18. Again the decor and overall atmosphere is so fun.
