“The food was quality, but could have more flavor. The service was friendly, but could have a bit more forwardness by welcoming you as you come in the door and asking if you have ever been there and offering assistance with how everything works, rather than the customer feeling confused and having to ask. The atmosphere is clean and seems well managed, it just needs to be a bit more polished. It is a bit pricey, however, in the correct demographics it will do well. If the flavors of the week were posted in the window with a large bold font, so it can be seen while driving by it would bring more traffic through their doors.“

Nice rooftop patio and outdoor seating to watch the traffic and shenanigans of Pickerington residents. A perfect place to put an ice cream shop, too, only wish there was more parking available in the small lot (about 6 spaces).“

“I stopped by Johnson’s Ice Cream about 8 minutes before closing, and normally I avoid going into places that late. I really wanted to grab ice cream for myself, my nephew, and my brother, so I decided to go in anyway. Madi F, Charlotte, and Darren were in the middle of closing up, so I asked if it would be a problem if I ordered. Without hesitation, all three of them said no.

I ordered three small scoops, and they were incredibly kind the entire time. They even told me I was the easiest customer they’d had walk in during the last 10 minutes before closing, which I thought was so sweet. Charlotte reassured me by saying, “We’re still open, so no worries,” even though I kept apologizing more than I needed to. They stayed calm, friendly, and welcoming throughout the whole interaction.

Honestly, my first visit to this location wasn’t great, and I had decided I wouldn’t come back. The only reason I stopped in was because it was the only place open with cinnamon ice cream. But after this experience, I will absolutely be returning.

Darren (who I understand is a lead), Charlotte, and Madi F completely changed my impression of this location. If someone higher up sees this, please recognize them they made a lasting impact. I was planning to go to the Pickerington location instead, but because of this team, I’ll be coming back here.

“I visit my family in Columbus Ohio and live in Boston. And every time I arrive, I cannot come without eating several mangonadas. I want to tell you that if you want to try something good, visit this place. Everything is delicious, but especially the famous mangonada. It's my favorite, I love that mango flavor and I haven't been able to find a flavor like it. And in fact I had the opportunity to meet the very kind owner of the place. I told her how much I liked mangonadas and I asked her to sell me some plastic containers so I could bring fried mangonadas to Boston. And it arrived in excellent condition. “Whit's in New Albany, OH is my favorite Whit's for frozen custard & Pies. I go there often and enjoy the friendliness of the owner & the staff. The freezer's are always filled with so many varieties. It's hard to make a choice. I buy several of my favorites & take them to my family, out of town - who are not lucky enough to live close to a Whit's. I still don't know if they are excited to see me or the Whit's custard :-) but we all enjoy it. Family I'll be bringing some to you soon!“

The area manager Alex reached out to me after I had a issue with a lady that I spoke with over the phone and rectified my issues. He was very understanding and nice enough to offer free food which I greatly appreciate.

I fully understand some days are rough and people have emotions, but working in a restaurant or anything related with customer service you have to show nothing but smiles and be happy even if your having a bad day.
