“We have been twice. Drinks were great and food was good; bartenders were welcoming. One detail that we found off-putting both times; when you walk in, there is no apparent host/hostess - but once you step in a couple feet you hear “do you have a reservation?” from behind you. It was awkward to us both times and made us feel somewhat less welcome than I am sure they intended. I suggest setting up a host/hostess station if you expect people to stop or letting guests talk to a bartender or find the host/hostess vs speaking to their backs. Regardless, start with “welcome to the Farnsworth” vs “do you have a reservation.”“

“Barr's is a nice place but service can be hit or miss. During prime hours you may need to park at the hotel next door when they run out of spots. The food is upscale bar/pub style and made with care, just about everything on the menu is great. They have a nice happy hour selection and the cocktails are well made. Don't overlook stopping in for a quick lunch. Its a very small space and there are often events/corporate gatherings in the side room so it can get packed in a hurry. I suggest going before 5 or after the dinner rush. They take reservations but you still may end up waiting as people tend to linger at their tables so dont go expecting to fit in a specific timeline.“

“We were in Ohio for a wedding and stopped here for dinner. There was a 45 minute wait but after a quick look inside, we decided that it was worth checking out. We were very glad we waited, the appetizers were incredible and the burgers were perfect. I love bourbon and was impressed at their selection. If we are ever back in Ohio, we will definitely be back.“

“Quick service and really tasty food that is a bargain. Got a pitcher of house Margs, mostly sweet and low on tequila. Got another as perhaps the first was a fluke. Not, also sweet and weak. Left about half of it. Still an overall good value and would recommend, minus the pitcher.“

“the fact they give 1 min to respond to their wait-list before kicking you off is insane. we literally got on the waitlist, the lady said just let us know if you choose somewhere else so we can cancel it. clearly we didn't cancel it and we were waiting... we pressed 1 to confirm but apparently did not make it in their 1 min countdown so they kicked us off... also they have ZERO red wine“

“Atmosphere terrific, we sat outdoors, food awesome, staff fabulous, Kendra was awesome, just didn't care for the smoking on the patio, right after we got our food. It was like eating from an ash tray.“

“We were seated quickly—no wait on Friday night. We ordered Tekela Wings—superb, steak nachos—great flavor but skimpy on the meat and the shrimp guacamole which was DELICIOUS!! It had pineapple and mango and I couldn’t stop eating it!

Atmosphere was beautiful. Lighting great. Murals were beautiful. Music was at perfect level.

I dont know if the server was brand new or what but she definitely did not have “server instinct.”“
