“My girlfriend and I drove over an hour to visit this little Burger place and it didn't disappoint. The small town vibe and inviting atmosphere were perfect for sunny Sunday afternoon. We sat by the windows with the sun shining in, the food was outstanding and the owner/waitress was very nice and warming. Food was different than most burger places but it was delicious and makes you want to come back to try a different off the wall burger!“

“We love Local Roots! We found them after a family member recommended and have been coming since. We’ll even take a day trip and fold it in to support small biz. I so appreciate their sweet staff asks each time if I need a dedicated GF toaster for my bread 😋, and they happily modify some of my menu items if needed. The newer location is spacious, just as bright, and has coffee! Thank you for choosing such great ingredients and going the extra mile for great taste, presentation and fun merch, too!“

“We tried this place that REALLY should be acknowledged as a hidden/rare gem. We were the first ones that arrived for service and we were served by Missy, who was so courteous, gentle and knowledgeable! She gave us a very detailed explanation of the dishes and we ended up trying the beef Mandu (sorry, no picture, it was so good!) as well as the Bibimbap Bulgogi. The music is nice and the place is cozy, make yourself a favor and give them a try!“

“My family visited from out of town late on a Saturday night and received excellent service and phenomenal food. I believe our server’s name was Laura and she was sweet and attentive and took the time to chat with my daughter. My husband tried the new dish, the New York Burrito, and I had the Mexican Sampler. Both of us would gladly say it was the best Mexican-style food we’ve ever had. Our daughter just had chicken nuggets and fries, but she was pretty happy, too. We intend to make it a regular stop on our annual birding trips.“

“I'm not going to give a 1 star because the restaurant and food itself is always fantastic. But our server Amber was extremely rude. She made a mistake and instead of apologizing and making it right she got an attitude, got our bill immediately (we wanted to order more), slammed it on the table and didn't speak the rest of the time to us. We will be back but will definitely be requesting to not have her as our server.“

“The menu had several offerings that were well prepared at a reasonable price. I have been frustrated with so many “fake fancy” menus in our local restaurants that are far more expensive and poorly executed, so it was a pleasant surprise to experience such a good value. The crab cake appetizer was substantial and delicious (good crab amount and delicious sauce), the Walleye piccata was very good and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her seafood risotto (a dish that has gone wrong at other regional restaurants). Both our cocktails were modern and delicious (made right - not sugary sweet), and our waitress served the meal at the right cadence so that we could enjoy our drinks and appetizer without being rushed into the entree. She was attentive and authentic - again, not “fake fancy” like other establishments. We were too full to try the dessert menu, but we will definitely return for final tasting and judgment (a nod to Iron Chef fans). This is not a Michelin star restaurant by any means, but it is that rare comfortable place you can go for regular date nights (business casual is my preference for the restaurant I think they are, but many of their guests were dressed more casually, which is perfectly fine). Finally, if you are gluten free, there are many menu selections that are genuinely delicious (not “fake gluten free” by removing some key component of the dish).“

“Barr's is a nice place but service can be hit or miss. During prime hours you may need to park at the hotel next door when they run out of spots. The food is upscale bar/pub style and made with care, just about everything on the menu is great. They have a nice happy hour selection and the cocktails are well made. Don't overlook stopping in for a quick lunch. Its a very small space and there are often events/corporate gatherings in the side room so it can get packed in a hurry. I suggest going before 5 or after the dinner rush. They take reservations but you still may end up waiting as people tend to linger at their tables so dont go expecting to fit in a specific timeline.“

“I was very pleased with the vegan bowl and bubble tea that I ordered at Balance. It was a healthy, filling, and refreshing meal. The staff was friendly, and the environment was crafted with modern commercial building standards. The atmosphere seemed to be inspired by local talent. I very much like the living wall with modular potted plants. However, I am not aligned with the graffiti art that is presented on some of the interior walls. Overall, I would gladly return to this Balance restaurant regularly.“

“My husband and I went for lunch and it was so delicious. We love their hot and sour soup (I crave it on the regular). The egg roll is so crispy and the sweet sour sauce is the perfect compliment. My husband got the General Tso's Chicken. The table next us asked what it was because it looked so good. The California roll was perfect. And they serve my favorite Sauvignon Blanc... Whitehaven. Great service! So fun to sneak away for a little lunch time date on a Friday!“

“The first time I was here, I waited for probably fifteen minutes before I ordered because I was studying the menu. I wanted several things and had to eliminate some so I could stop cosplaying a statue in the restaurant. This time, I went with the Pizza Bagel on a honey wheat bagel. It was very good. I need to make a lot more trips so I can try the rest of the menu. I'll probably get more traditional style of bagels at some point. The staff here is very friendly and can give you some insight on what you might like to try.“

They were so helpful and moved things around to make sure the food was done earlier than expected.
