“Exceptional! At in Bar area and it was perfect. Onion Soup best there is. I had the American Waygu steak and it is excellent and very reasonably priced. My husband felt like a burger and they have #1 burger and the hashbrowns are amazing. All in all outstanding experience.“

The establishment provides great food, great pricing, personable and timely bar staff, and conversation with anyone and everyone. “We had a great meal at Austin's on New Year's Eve. We come here maybe a half dozen times a year and are never disappointed. We started off sharing a shrimp cocktail with my wife having a cup of wedding soup and I had the French Onion soup. The shrimp cocktail was very good. The cocktail sauce had just a little zip to it and the shrimp were large. My wife enjoyed her wedding soup and I also enjoyed the French Onion. I tell everyone Austin's has the best French Onion soup I've tasted in Lake County. I had the ribs, which were generous at a half slab and very tender, with a baked potato that was just right. My daughter had the salmon which she enjoyed and was surprised at the large portion. My wife had the chicken parm and was also surprised at two pieces of chicken. She took one home. She enjoyed it, but thought the sauce a little too sweet. We had no room for dessert. We'll be back here again for sure.“

I asked my husband is that a sax I hear. He said yes. The band was good. My husband said "this is going to be my new go to place". Nice crowd.“

Al had taken my reservation and also welcomed us warmly when our party of five arrived. Turns out that he also made our food and helped to serve it with smiles. Our table on the patio was set and ready for us when we arrived, and water was brought immediately without asking, as were extra napkins. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. Each of us chose a different type of food, and all of us thought that what we had was delicious...from the pepperoni roll appetizer, to pizza, to a cheesesteak sandwich, to pasta dishes, and cannoli for dessert. One friend gave me a taste of one of her meatballs, and it was so tender and tasty...I think I'll have to come back for a pasta dish with those meatballs! When we were nearing the end of our meal, a very nice gentleman arrived and sang and played nice songs on guitar. He was not too loud so that we could still socialize together. “My first visit was a resounding success! I ordered the fish sandwich and fries along with an order of soul rolls. The fish was delicious and I was really full from it, but I had to bite into one of the soul rolls. Before I knew it, I had ate half of it and I knew I was full already. It was just so delicious that I couldn’t stop taking bites. Everything was prepared fresh and I didn’t wait long either. I definitely recommend them and will be back myself.“

Moved to CLE from the dirty south and had the hardest time finding good food up here. Then I found Calypso's. They got the flavor, the spices, aaaaaaallll the sauce, and the sweetest employees. “Haven’t been to JT’s Diner for about two years. Thought we’d give it a try as we remembered it being good at their previous location. We were very disappointed in our breakfasts. My crisp bacon was burnt to a crisp with burnt taste upon first bite. Our home fries used to be excellent “sliced” potato’s, but yesterday came as mush and the scrambled eggs were not even cut….just folded like an omelet. Coffee was good and hot, as in the past. For $20.53 I expected better. Don’t think I would return.“
