“Took my wife here for her 35th birthday, and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was FANTASTIC. We started with the spinach dip. The pit chips were homade and softly as can be! The bread was amazing too! My wife got the filet, and I got the delmonico. We both got mashed potatoes as our side. I can't say enough about how great it all was!The atmosphere was nice, elegant, and downright fancy. They have a bar that you can sit at and eat, so it's not all fancy fancy.Overall, it's a wonderful birthday spot. We will absolutely visit again!“
“Was planning to go to the City Steakhouse but they were not open. We popped in here on a whim. Though two distinctly different places and foods, this BBQ was superb! My chicken was out of this world delicious! The accompanying turnip greens and red beans & rice were a cut above as well! Yummy! Order & pay first and have a seat. Our food came out fairly quickly in the overall small but themed space. Highly recommend!“
“We're from Texas, I drive OTR and we took our break this weekend in Wooster. As outdoor enthusiasts, who can't make a place called Ugly Duck a first stop? It is outstanding on all levels. We will probably be back this afternoon. The people, both staff and customers, as well as the atmosphere almost make me want to move here.“
“Nice little restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. We decided to stop on whim and try a new place. Once we stepped in, you can see that they embrace their namesake. They have hard hats lined above the bar, and it's cool to see all of the different companies represented on them. It is seat yourself, first come first served. There was a bit of a wait for our food, but not off putting. The place was full the whole time, so it was understandable and they did a good job. The serving sizes were good, and the pancakes were huge. They are plate sized and thick, so order wisely lol. Everything tasted great and the staff was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be returning and suggest checking them out when in the area.“
“Cozy local restaurant. The owner is very involved and keeps an eye out to ensure patrons are cared for and the staff is operating efficiently.Very nice menu that was season appropriate with a diverse selection to choose from.If you want something besides a "chain" restaurant, give it a try“
“Went here for my birthday. Absolutely delicious food and great friendly service. I ordered the sangria and the wild mushroom pasta. Sangria was probably the best I’ve had. The wild mushroom pasta was very creamy and what felt like a warm gooey grilled cheese that I crave. Their bread was tasty and can’t wait to come back to try more of their baked goods. My partner got the jambalaya, which was the perfect amount of spice. It can be a little noisy when it’s packed.“
“Great neighborhood place with excellent pizza, burgers, apps, fish and more. The servers are super friendly! It gets pretty busy, so you can expect a wait during peak hours, but that’s just a sign of a great place. The new owners are really improving the facility and it’s a town favorite!“
“What sets this location apart from anywhere else is the service. I am out of town on business and this location is very convenient for me on my lunch break.By my second visit this week the team knows my order and the manager on duty, (Steve?), knows my name. Literally said, "Hey Ryan!", when I walked in today.Where else do you get this kind of service?I love Penn Stations cheese steaks. But this location is unique because the people really show their appreciation for your business.I am not visiting for the third time this week, and will probably be back tomorrow for my last day in town. Not just because of the food, but even more so for the way the team here treats the people that come through the door.“
“Great food with even better drinks! Love the atmosphere. Love how it looks and feels. We chose this place on a whim, but we were blown away with everything, really. Came up for the solar eclipse from Pa, and this was the respite we needed. Loved it, if we are ever near here again. Definitely worth stopping here again.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp available“
“Went to eat here with friends, and what a great idea!! We all had a different entree, and they were all excellent!! Those brussel sprouts were YUMMY!! The four stars on service instead of five were because one member of the group received their food a good bit later than the other three, but all in all we would go back again in a minute! Thanks for a great experience!“
“I have dined here a handful of times over the years and can honestly say that I have never had a bad experience. The atmosphere is very unique while being authentic and enjoyable. The service there is one of the main reasons I continue to go there.“
“Best onion rings around. I'm having to change my review based on my experience under the new management. The food is okay, presentation is lacking. We had to ask for napkins as they are not provided. Also ordered the deep dish caramel apple pie and was very disappointed. Very little flavor and the crust! I had to use my knife to cut bites to eat - it was thick and tough. Also, now the prices have gone up dramatically. $30 for 2 sandwiches, onion rings, slaw and pie (not counting the tip). And, add $2 if you want to pay with a card. I doubt we'll go back.“
“We went to the Tavern and had a great experience. Food was delicious and our server, Christal, really went above and beyond. There was a small mixup with one of our orders, but she went to the next level to fix things. We'll definitely be back and will ask for her!“
“The Green Leaf restaurant in Wooster, Ohio is an area tradition. It's family-owned and calls itself a "family style" restaurant that features a large menu with a wide variety of standard food items. Started as a drive-in and still offers that service, but has a large indoor dining area.Parking: Plenty of parking, including drive-in slots when the drive-in is closed.Kid-friendliness: Welcomes children at the drive-in and in the indoor dining rooms.“
“As a teen in the '70s I loved when we would get subs from Hero House. I didn't think it would live up to my memory, but it did all these years (umm... decades) later. The rest in our party thought i was exaggerating, but they agreed that the subs were great! ordered pick up, so can't comment on atmosphere really. I can agree with some comments that wait staff can be gruff. But, the food far outweighs that downside.“
“Lowkey and underrated.Hats off to the hospitable and friendly staff. Perfect place to chill chat and drink. Atmosphere and customers are welcoming as expected for a family friendly local bar. Love it here. Food wise you really can't go wrong, it's all good. Just wish they would prepare some items a little less greasy, and maybe depends on who's cooking that day. So in a nutshell food quality inconsistent, but you can expect a good experience here. They are sometimes under-staffed depending on the time of day. Despite these flaws it's still a great place. Friendly people always stopping in.“
“The meals were hot and made perfect...but the best part was the waitress...Patience was so good at her job...made our night.. talked with Sarah the manager...she was also really great...easy to tell that management cares... staff is on point. Highly recommend Wooster red lobster....great work “
“The best, best, BEST of the BEST Bob Evans. To the hostesses, to the waitresses there that been there and to the waiter to the manager, is above and beyond amazing. Thank you always for your amazing. The communication to the cooks and thank you to the cooks for following the details EVERYTIME!“
“First time visiting here. Our family of 3 came for brunch. A bit chaotic on check in - vestibule overflowing with nobody to greet guests. Once we got seated we had a lovely waitress who was efficient. Food was edible but bland. Each of us ordered a different item and thought the same. Presentation and quantity were fine.“
“I ordered the Alaskan Cod woth 2 sides. I chose fries with a salad. The fish was delicious. I didn’t eat the breading, I always dig out the fish. But it was nice and white, fresh, meaty. I added a few squeezes of lemon for flavor, fries were good and crisp. My bill was 18 and change. I’ll be back.“
“The was good but definitely could have been better. I had the chips and salsa as a starter. The salsa was good, and the chips were fresh. I was here on Thursday for their BOGO Boneless Wings. I ordered a 10 piece giving me a total of 20 wings, so I chose 4 different sauces. I had the Nashville Hot, Mango Habanero, Carribean Jerk, and Spicy Garlic. The wings were decent size and all very flavorful. The one issue was that some of the wings weren't coated that well in sauce and had areas with no sauce on them, I choose not to complain after all they should know how to properly coat the wings. My server Tonya was great she was very attentive and made sure my drink was full and I had everything I needed.“
“Went for Birthday dinner.Food was very good. Had steaks and ribs. Served hot. Warm bread and butter was super yummy. Our server was awesome. She checked in on us several times.Prices are what you would expect. Portions are good. We all had leftovers.Great dinner spot.“
