“Travelling home from Vancouver to Timmins, we stopped at this Wendy’s for a quick bite. Wendy’s is usually my go-to when travelling, as I find it to be the most consistent across the board among fast food chains. What made this stop particularly excellent was Jack. Jack was the young man working behind the counter who served us. Not only was he fast and efficient, but his communication skills were/are excellent.

As we were eating, Jack came out to the floor to clean the tables and chairs. He then went over to the condiment station, restocking napkins and making sure everything was tidy. He didn’t miss a beat. This young man is an exceptional employee and deserves to be recognized.

Jack somehow managed to make my favourite burger taste even better— maybe that’s just the Jack effect 😆

“We called ahead and ordered for a family pizza night. We got there the order was ready, no line up, all other customers were addressed and getting their food. Easiest experience and great customer service.

“The poutine is usually excellent. The cheese curds are plenty and nice firm curds. The fries are usually nice and crispy brown. Today it was quite the opposite… Soggy undercooked fries, terrible cheese…. Woman serving up the food did not have a face mask on when handling food. I hope this was a one time disappointment.“

“I order ahead on the app, and my orders are almost always on time and correct. However, they did mess up once and completely lost the order.

Ravish was very apologetic and offered a free medium sub as a gesture of goodwill. That’s great customer service!“

Their baked potatoes, garden salads, and fries are reliable options, and I appreciate that they offer customizable sandwiches if you want to skip the meat. However, compared to other fast-food chains, Wendy’s could definitely expand their vegetarian menu with more plant-based proteins or meatless burger options. Overall, it’s good for a simple meal, but I hope to see more variety for vegetarians in the future.“

“My husband, kids and I stopped at Swiss Chalet on Barrie View Drive on the way to our cottage last week. It is always our go-to! Reliable food, kind servers, clean space. This time, we splurged for the new cheesecake that our server, Shannon recommended for desert. Needless to say, we will be back on our way home next week as the girls haven’t stopped talking about the cheesecake. Thank you Swiss Chalet for helping us break up our drive and for giving me a night off cooking!“

“Went here to grab a bite for lunch as we were in the area and we were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. We ordered shawarmas and bowls - all excellent. They had just one person who was at the counter so the service was slow but he was as quick as he could be and helpful. There are 6 tables for 2 people and 2 tables for 4 people. Pleasant enough to dine in. They have daily deals. Great value for money. Good taste too.“

“My blizzard is always made to perfection. I only wish they had a drive-thru but location is too small for one. FYI, I gave the Dairy Queen in ANGUS a bad review because their food lately has not been good. A couple of weeks ago, the blizzard I ordered tasted like stale ice cream with rancid chocolate. I complained and my review was blocked on Facebook.“

“I was the epitome of obnoxious tonight. I was having a birthday with a bunch of kids who wanted to dress their own burgers. Brandy was the supervisor on staff and she gladly packaged all of the toppings on the side. There were 2 that were gluten free for a little GF guy and I was sure with all the confusing modifications there would be something that went wrong, and I would not have blamed them one bit. Saturday night and a lady comes in with 8,000 modifications. But everything was perfect, she was more pleasant than a lot would have been in that situation and my little guy was super excited to feel like he was working at his own restaurant. 10/10. “Always delicious! I made a mistake a couple weeks ago and thought I ordered tahinis but I actually ordered from another place that carries my usual order of chicken shawarma wrap. I was super disappointed with my wrap and then realized I didn't order from tahinis!!! No wonder !! Tonight I ordered properly from tahinis, not the other place and I'm extremely satisfied. “I went to bar burrito on the north end of Barrie on Cundles during the ice storm on Mar 31st evening as, we had no food in the house or power. The staff working this shift were incredible. They were so busy but still managed to be efficient, friendly and took care of each customer with care and respect. Way to go to the staff working on that busy day, as my burrito was also amazing!!“
