“Honestly one of the best Chinese Restaurants in Ajax. The food has been consistent for a least a decade. It’s always fast and delicious for pickup and delivery but expect it to take an hour, but the food will be extremely hot and fresh. I have tried multi Chinese food restaurants in Ajax and its they have all been disappointing (at least for our family).
I’m not sure of the individual’s name that runs the front and phone, but she is so friendly to our family and is always willing to cater our crazy dietary needs of being gluten and dairy Allergies.“

“we ordered takeout food here a few days ago, our food was ready quickly even though they were very busy. We left, got home and realized they had forgotten to include the rice we ordered. I called them and the owner said they realized it was still there in the kitchen but we had left. It was very busy, phone and walk in customers, so we totally understood. They were very apologetic and said could we come back, we were 25 min away, so we couldn’t. They took our number and we went back again, got another dish and our rice. Each time we got food that was delicious and hot, very piping hot and good size portions. We will be back.“

“Have been ordering from here for the past 45 years. Food has been consistently the same old school North American style Chinese food. Special fried rice has a nice Smokey flavor to it complimenting anything. Hot and Sour soup is actually both in a large portion. Korean shrimp is one on my favorites large shrimp wrapped in tasty pork with a rich oyster sauce. Chow mein is always fresh complimenting the meal.“

“Placed a lunch order. Took several minutes for someone to answer the phone. It was New Years Eve afternoon, so to be expected. Then we got put on hold for several minutes while we heard someone yelling. Finally placed the order and someone drove me to pick the order. Got there and a young lady at the counter was having a conversation with another customer. After a few minutes when they started talking about if the young lady was going to be working tonight by herself I interrupted and asked for the order. At this point The young lady hadn't even acknowledged me. The young lady gave a quick look and then started talking to the other customer again. I raised my voice and someone from the back came out. She looked but didn't find it. My driver came in to find out what was taking so long. Finally the young lady asked me again when it was ordered. I told her and she looked at the table beside her where it was sitting ALONE. The food as usual was good but cold. It actually took longer the get the cooked order once I was in the restersaunt than it took to get there. Considering no customers were being served the whole time I was there I found the service totally ridiculous. The kitchen area very busy with many people. The food was produced fast and tasty but the experience and being ignored left a bad taste in my mouth. When I entered an older lady was yelling towards the young lady before going back into the kitchen. I think I may know why! This is not the usual service we get at the Hong Kong House.“

While I can't often afford to treat myself to Chinese food as it is often more costly than other meals. But, when I can find a little extra doe or I feel I deserve a treat, this is where I go.
