“We recently made my Mom’s 100th birthday lunch here. We had approximately 60 adults and 4 small children. I cannot rave enough about how accommodating the entire staff were from owner, to servers, to chefs…The menu they created was wonderful with the most delicious choices and generous portions. I would strongly recommend this restaurant for entertainments ( showers, engagements, small events .. etc) but also for lunch or dinner. They have a wonderful patio as well. I can’t wait to go back and I have the dishes I personally didn’t order. They were all great. My guests can’t stop raving.“

“We had dinner for four. The salad bar was very and fresh. The steak was excellent. The sides were good and the desert was only ok (though the cooked pineapple was by far the highlight). Our server was Cesar who did an excellent job, checking on us constantly. He also made sure we had our choice of meat brought to the table which was appreciated near the end since we did not want to miss anything.“

“The waitress is fluent in Chinese, English and Cantonese, and she helped recommend and explain the differences between each type of oysters and caviar throughout the process. The food in the picture is very ok, the seafood soup is very fresh, the steak is grilled and has a rich aroma, especially the side dishes of potatoes. The strips are very special and great. The focus of the oyster restaurant is oysters. Amazing!“

“We were driving from Alliston to Stoney Creek and stopped to find a place for dinner. We thought we wouldn’t get in without a reservation. We were seated at the bar. Mike was very hospitable, asking us about our likes and dislikes. We went with his suggestions. After an appetizer of warm olives, I had grilled sea bass with French fried carrot. Perfectly prepared, unusual and delicious. My husband had pasta with a pecorino cheese. We were very grateful to find this accommodating place for an impromptu visit dinner.“

“We went on a sunday lunch and it wasnt busy. We were greeted nicely and seated right away.It was a little dark inside with beautiful modern decor, but it is ambiance of this restaurant. The place looked very clean and the washrooms as well. The service was nothing but fantastic. Our server was happy, nice and attentive. They never failed to fill all of our water. She checked on us multiple times and answered all of our questions. Food also came fast.Food had great portions, came piping hot, fresh and plated beautifully. We recieved a complimentary noodle soup on top of our miso and salad. My chicken katsu was bursting with flavors that i could not stop eating it.For the quality and quantity that you get, their food is reasonably priced.Overall this place is great and would come back to try their sushi“

“Unfortunately, I wasn't a big fan of the pizza. The proximity to the neighboring table made it quite noisy... The service was good though.Unfortunately, I didn't really like the pizza. The table next to me was so close that it was so noisy that I couldn't hear the conversation at my table.“

“We had the lovers thali for two and ordered the drink special cocktail and 2 glasses of house wine. Enough food for two and one of us had dessert. It was not. As good as it was before the new owners but it was still good value. The servers were not as experienced as the previous ones. We will come again.“

“Zero pictures of the food because as soon as it hit our table, we inhaled it. Completely forgetting to even snap a shot!!!!! My husband and I have been to Italy multiple times and we come to Cibo to be reminded of the taste and quality of the food overseas. I love arancini so I am always on the hunt for a good one in Toronto. The ones here are brilliant. Deliciously meaty sauce and oozing with fresh mozzarella cheese. The focaccia is so soft, warm and fresh it practically melts in your mouth and the olive oil tastes like crushed olives. The first time we went we got pasta: carbonara and the braised beef mushroom ravioli. Incredible. While we were eating, we caught a whiff of the pizza as it was being run by our table. We vowed we would come back just for the pizza. The second time we went, we had the Di Nicolino and San Giorgio pizzas with fior di latte. You know the restaurant is a good one when they serve fior di latte!!! The crust was perfection and the toppings are so fresh. We also had to try the penne alla vodka and my husband who admittedly gets pasta’d out very easily truly devoured the dish. It was savoury, creamy and the pancetta was perfectly crisp and generous. A perfect way to outrageously satisfy that ‘nice bowl of pasta’ craving. Desserts and cappuccinos don’t let this perfect experience down one bit. In any general cheesecake recipe, you always add a little bit of lemon because it goes so well with the creaminess of the cake. So what if you made the cheesecake with fresh Italian cheese and flavoured it only with lemon juice and zest?? Probably the best tasting cheesecake ever right? They serve that here!!! Omg so decadent. The tiramisu is also great for a little pick me up ;) But above all, the reason we come back is for the service. Every single person who works at this establishment walks as if they are wearing a crown. When you are their guest, you are honoured with warmth, caring attention and upscale thoroughness. As soon as the empty glass hit the table, our server Kelsey was at our side to offer another. The hostesses greeting us and any server that runs the food to our tables is gracious and kind. But above all, management deserves a real prize. The way that Brent made us feel part of the family and how he tended to our every need so generously, made us guests for life. We will forever visit Cibo Yonge street thanks to their wonderful team!!! 11/10, RUN—don’t walk!!!“

“It’s my first time come to this location. The restaurant is not busy at the time we were there. I like the steak wrapped with cheese outside the most, because it was juicy and tasty. The lamp and other steak seemed to be too dry. The spicy steak was way over cooked. There were lots of options at the salad bar. Service was great.“
