Both portions were decent and flavorful - shrimp was a good size & plumb. I felt the beef was not a high quality cut and a little tough. The veggies were fresh but they could have been chopped and diced to smaller pieces. Overall, acceptable quality for a takeout place that serves the neighborhood of East York.“

Looking at earlier reviews, the complaints seem to be focused on the decline in quality over time. I've only been coming to Soup It up for the last two years, but haven't noticed any decline at all in that time. The sandwiches are particularly good value.There are better lunch options in the PATH, but these ratings are largely unfair in my view. “Grabbed a gungo peas soup today and it was amazing. Flavours great lots of beef and provisions. Only thing I can say is sometimes the meat is kind of scarce but that's probably because I go later in the day. Wayy better than souperlicous in my opinion“

“I recently visited Wuhan Noodles 1950 and had a great dining experience. The Hot Dry Noodles (Re Gan Mian) may not taste exactly the same as the authentic version in Wuhan, but they are still very flavorful, rich, and satisfying. The portion size is generous, making it a filling meal.

I also tried the Beef and Radish Rice Noodles, which came with a large amount of tender beef and a hearty serving of noodles. The broth was rich and comforting, and the overall portion was excellent value for money.

One of the highlights was their chili oil. It was incredibly fragrant, packed with flavor, and blended perfectly with the noodles. It added just the right amount of heat and depth to the dishes.

“Yesterday we had one of the best meal in this city in a long time in the city at this restaurant. We were hungry after a great candlelight concert at the nearby Metropolitan Church venue and we decided to try this place. Blown away by the food. You know the food is good when you see it. We decided to start with a Vietnamese pancake. Before even trying the food I was immediately impressed by the look and we knew the food was made by an extremely talented chef. The way the carrots were cut into beautiful threads. After trying the pancake I was seeing stars in my head. The main course that followed did not disappoint either with a grilled and smoked pork chop with a chicken breast and a delicious Chicken pho. Wow. Will come back again for sure. Not to be missed if you're in the area.“

“Oxtail Pho & Banh Mi is the kind of place I keep walking into late at night and finding empty, and every time it makes me mad on their behalf.

This place should be packed.

The food is so good, the portions are massive, and they don’t cut corners on quality. The banh mi is incredible. There’s so much filling it can barely stay inside the bread, but the ratio still works: meat, vegetables, seasoning, texture, everything. Their tofu is fantastic, and I love their pho. The broth actually tastes like someone cared.

There’s nothing fancy about the room. It’s bare bones, late-night, no-nonsense Vietnamese food. The staff are always sweet and friendly, and in the summer they might serve you, then step outside for a cigarette. Some people might not love that. Personally, I respect it. That is ambience.

It’s open late, the servings are generous, and the food hits exactly the way you want it to.

I don’t have much else to say except this place is a gem. Go eat there. Fill the room. Order the banh mi. Get the pho. Tip well.

“My son had a minor hand surgery recently, and to cheer him up and spend some quality time together, I decided to take him to this restaurant. It did not disappoint!

From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. I’m a stickler for great service, and this restaurant truly knows how to make the entire dining experience special.

Since I was there with my 8-year-old son, our server kindly offered to make him a mocktail that still came with the dramatic dry ice fog effect. That was such a highlight for him, and the drink itself was absolutely delicious.

We ordered the cheese balls, pani puri, butter chicken, aloo gobi, and garlic naan. Every single dish was outstanding—so much so that my son gave the meal an 11/10!

For dessert, we had the gulab jamun, which was presented tableside. It was another fun experience that made the evening even more memorable for my son.

This restaurant checked every box: incredible service, amazing food, a fantastic atmosphere, and an overall dining experience that exceeded our expectations.

A very special thank you to our waiter, Parvinder (I hope I spelled that correctly), who was so kind, thoughtful, and courteous throughout the evening. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for giving my son and me such a wonderful night at a time when he really needed something to smile about.

The food is not Haute Cuisine but instead working class staples made fresh to order. It is good food, it's hearty and comforting and it's flavourful. It is a supurb version of what its intended to be. The value is notable given the freshness and espoused sourcing standards. It's not fast food. Expect to wait for your meal to be prepared because, as I said above, it is made to order. The wait isn't particularly long and it's well worth it

BOBO is a small counter service restaurant. Service was helpful, attentive and polite. It's what you would want from this sort of place.

Theres not a lot of space to build out the ambiance, but regardless its a clean pleasent environment with places to sit and wait or eat. The wood paneling is a nice homey touch. The menu display is clear and the graphic design is professional. Theres a lot fit into the minimal available space including drinks and countertop extras for sale. It's not minimalist by any means but it does have an eclectic charm

The service is unbelievable Sherry and Chloe always remember me when I come in and even before I get there and place my order they know exactly who they are serving. “It was the second time which we ordered our brunch via Ubereat within a week. We chose this cafe because we had tried its combo dinner recently and it left us with good impression.

We ordered two sets of breakfast, with one being the fried filet with 2 sausages and fried eggs as well as a butter toast, the other being the satay beef macaroni with egg sandwich. Of course, the drinks were also included in the set and we have tea and coffee. As compared with those of other similar cafes, their portions were much larger. On the whole, they were deicious except the sausages and the coffee.

Given the prices at around $17 and $16 for the filet and the beef and their portion, the food quality and their tastefulness, it is money worth.“

“We were so happy when we found out that this Pai location was in our neighbourhood and it has now become a staple. We don't notice a difference from the downtown and Eglinton locations - it's the exact same quality and portion sizes. We also love that they are so accommodating about substitutions and making items gluten free. Never a bad meal here!“
