“My experience was fantastic. We went there on November 20, 2025. Our wait staff was over the top. He kept checking on us. The only thing that I wasn't happy with was that they don't let you keep the itemized receipt at the end of your meal. My Fish dinner was out of this world and Haley's roast beef sandwich was also excellent. Everyone treated us so nice there.“

“Food was good over all! Good flavors, sandwiches were stuffed. Cajun fries a little too salty, but the buffalo chicken dip was delicious, and our burger and sandwich were too. I do think the sauce on The Carver drowns out any taste from the chicken or aged cheddar, but it was good still. There was considerable waiting time for drinks and getting the bill.“

“We just enjoyed a wonderful Breakfast with Santa at The Tewksbury Lodge for the third year in a row. Everything was amazing! The food, the service and the atmosphere were all top notch. Our granddaughters, 5 & 3 yrs old were so excited. Santa greeted all the kids as he entered, and then was so sweet and kind to the all the kids as they were called up, by table, to visit with him at his special chair. Each child received a bag of goodies. You could feel the magic in the air and on the smiles of the kids, parents and grandparents. The Tewksbury Lodge has this breakfast down to a science, systematic and efficient while not rushing at all. Thank you for a wonderful Christmas experience! We'll definitely be back next year! “Bacchus…THANK YOU for a wonderful meal with great service. We thoroughly enjoyed our entrees of Lobster tortellini, shrimp puttanesca and pork chop. The octopus app was delicious too. Service was outstanding and the valet driver even remembered our car! Impressive! We’ve dined here many times and will continue to do so!“

“Came here a few months ago to get fish fry and couldn’t find the name to write a review. Turns out I followed the shop’s page on facebook!
Anyway, their fish fry is great especially for the price of $12!! I 1000% recommend giving it a try on a friday!
Customer service was great the man who served me seemed so happy to help us and he was so welcoming!

Pear-gorganzola with crispy prosciutto, Osso Bucco veal shanks, limoncello Semifreddo and fresh bread with garlic butter and pesto. The wings here are not your average wings, I don’t know what they do but they’re sooo good the cajun is magical. The drinks are good. There is security checking ID and making sure things are ok, it is a bar and restaurant so they do have all types of food including breakfast and dinner. Bathrooms are okay and clean, hit or miss with toilet paper thankfully I brought my own bc you never know sometimes.. lol“

“Went there before a play for dinner at Shea's Buffalo. This place is on the Chippewa bar strip, so we were not expecting much. Walking inside, it looks like a typical party/cocktail bar, brick walls, long bar, and tables opposite the bar with plastic chairs and Formica tables, so you are sitting in the bar. At 5:30PM on restaurant week before a nearby playing of Hamilton, we were the only diner's there (and only 4 others at the bar). Now the good part.... one of the best meals I have had in a long time!!!!! Waitress/bartender was prompt, attentive and friendly. The special for restaurant week that we had was $35 for soup/salad (I had soup), Duck with asparagus, yams, sprouts and and pie for dessert. This meal was fabulous! Perfect portion and perfect flavor. The caramel/peanut butter pie was luscious! On top of all this, we were there during happy hour, so $3 a beer. I highly recommend trying this place to eat, just don't expect a cozy, intimate atmosphere. You won't be disappoints, and you won't be broke.“

“Like a light at the end of a dark tunnel, Rodney’s came to the rescue! We initially went for lunch at a very new, trendy new spot on Lakeshore Road. After a 20 minute wait, we were seated. The place was so loud! No band. No loud music. Just loud everything else. People talking, dishes clanking and who knows what else, it was so loud. There’s no way you could carry on a conversation without shouting. So we left right away. Next we tried a popular seafood restaurant nearby and were treated like second-class citizens just by inquiring how long the wait was. Out of there. Rodney’s was almost across the street so we went there. Best idea ever! Our hostess was friendly. Our server was a hoot. Funny, helpful and got everything exactly right. The food was excellent too. A cozy, clean spot right by the lake. I recommend Rodney’s highly.“

“Hoak’s Lakeshore is one of those places that instantly feels like a Buffalo experience, not just a meal. The wings? Insanely good—crispy, saucy, perfectly cooked, and honestly way better than the wings from the so-called “claimed original.” If you’re coming to Western NY and want to know what real Buffalo wings taste like, this is the stop.

What really seals it, though, is the vibe. Hoak’s is fantastic for tourists because it’s right on the water, open year-round, and always buzzing with energy. The staff is genuinely wonderful—friendly, fast, and clearly proud of the place—and the locals are half the entertainment.

My wife had filet it was perfect, I had rack of lamb, but it was not a rack but 2 rack bones with 3 inches of meat hanging off, I could not even cut the meat with a steak knife, had to send it back to be cut. beware when you order a rack $70“
