“The absolute best falafel around. Made fresh in the back to order, not waiting dry at the counter all day. Very flavourful and herbacious nugget. Super soft and moist on the inside. They always give us bonus falafel after they fried the ones up for our sandwiches. My husband discovered this place looking for lunch around his new office in the area and we now drive all the way from Rockland just for this amazing falafel. Last time we were there, a Lebanese man from Montreal was waiting for his order and told us he had driven all the way just to bring it home to his family for dinner that night because he has yet to find anything near as good as theirs between here and home. Now that's some good falafel! Thank you for always being so kind when my husband and I come in! We feel like family with how kind you guys are!”

“I've been in search of decent sushi that won't break my bank (since I'd rather have decent sushi more regularly). And I'm glad I got sushi from sushi 29. It's a small takeout sushi joint that tbh didn't really scream out fresh food, but I was pleasantly surprised and was very glad to find this spot. Don't get me wrong. I still have few spots on my list to try but sushi 29 was a "I'll come back" from my list.
We ordered maki roll combo A (cali, sp tuna, salmon rolls), two breaded shrimps, tamago (egg) roll and imitation crab roll for my toddler, unagi and ikura and scallop nigiris, and some squid and salmon sashimi. Rolls were alright. Good bite size and not too much rice on them. The rice was also not undercooked or overcooked. Decent size fish in them too. My toddler had the egg roll and I cut them in half to be smaller, which he ate very well. Not so much crab roll though.
Nigiris and sashimi were quite fresh and the price for them was quite good. If anything, the price for the sushi here was cheaper than in BC so I was quite happy to find a spot that didn't have a California roll that wasn't over $10 (seemed to be a norm in ottawa which is bizarre). The sp tuna roll wasn't spicy though. But again, this seemed to be another norm in ottawa - spicy stuff not being really spicy? Breaded shrimps were alright. Not the typical Japanese style tempura but more like store bought shrimpies. Kinda reminded me a smaller version of shrimp tempura in the shrimp tacos from Costco. Iykyk.
Anyway we will be back. It was good and much better than sushi kan lol.”

“Ordered x-large Camilio’s Special pizza and two 16 ounce smoked meat make at home combos (with rye bread, fries, pickles, coleslaw) for eight people at a late afternoon backyard party. It was more than enough for us and was a very big hit. Great value. Service was very good. Will definitely go back. Thanks!”

“Great Pizza and Even Better People!

Stopped by Tangerine Pizza and was really impressed. The pizza was freshly made, with a perfect crust and generous toppings—definitely one of the better pizzas I’ve had in a while.

The owner was an older gentleman—super friendly and clearly knows his craft. There was also a very kind attendant who even upgraded our order to a medium pizza at no extra charge, which was a lovely surprise.

You can tell they put care into both the food and the service. Would absolutely come back again. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates quality and a personal touch.”

“Great place!! Went for the first time this weekend. Wasn’t sure how it would be as the outside is fairly plan. It’s smaller inside but very welcoming. I had a lot of fun on the open mic night. The staff and patrons were super friendly. I had a blast.
Ordered mozza sticks, zucchini and fried pickles, which mixed nicely with the drinks! Will definitely go back!
The only thing that could make this place perfect is if they set up a little outdoor patio in the summer! Would be nice to sit outside with friends and have drinks!”

“The pizza here is for people who like it cheesy, saucy and generously topped with fluffy crusty crust and a properly cooked base. Chicken Caesar salad is tasty with fresh crunchy romaine, lots of real bacon bits and a healthy portion of chicken sliced perfectly. Garlic bread comes with it.. amazing. Prices are reasonable and well worth it. Friendly service always.”

“Pizza is a good, but the crazy bread is great! If they made some donair sauce it would be very similar to east coast Garlic Fingers (you can make your own sauce at home too). Wings are big and juicy but sometimes too saucy and sometimes not saucy enough. Good late night food option!”
