“It's not often you get blown away from a drive-thru interaction. Recently, we experienced an amazing customer service episode with a young gentleman named Sathvik. He welcomed us by asking, "how has your day been so far?". Great eye contact, genuine smile and attentiveness. He even sensed our uncertainty on whether we wanted any sauces with our order which we finally said 'no' too and when he came back with our order bag, he stated "I threw in a couple in case you change your minds". We frequent the Clair Road location regularly and are always impressed with the level of service from the staff. It is a testament to the quality of training from their management and ownership. Great to see! Thank you!”

“I would say that Cherry Blossom sushi is the actual best sushi place in Guelph at the moment. This is reflected by the price (only the dinner menu is offered for AYCE - expect about $60 after tax and tip), but it really is worth it so they are hands down my choice for special occasions. (For cheaper lunch dates, I suggest W sushi).
The general menu variety is phenomenal and just about everything is just crazy delicious. I had one of the funniest experiences of my life recently in which some friends and I went for my birthday, bringing along a new friend who never had sushi (or many of the menu items) at all before. We may have partaken in some choice botanical goods immediately beforehand too. She kept looking in absolute wonder at everything that would come out, ask what it was, we would tell her to try some, and she would exclaim dish after dish "oh my god that's so good" like it was the food of gods. We tried the french fries for laughs and they were oddly really good too. Is there anything that isn't good here?
Anyways, sushi: the fish is great quality, extremely fresh, service is fast, and presentation is fantastic. I'm mostly a fan of the rice/fish ratio and rice seasoning. Appetizers and grilled/wok made food is also amazing. Unlike all the other local sushi places right now, there are a huge variety of specialty drinks available - alcoholic, but also smoothies, slushies, milk tea, green tea, and boba/coconut jelly toppings available. Highly recommend those; my sushi-going friend is loyal to the Taro milk tea, and I always do the strawberry or pineapple-mango slush. The dessert menu is also more expansive than other places around town: more flavours of ice cream, mango pudding, creme brulee, cream puffs, deep fried mars/oreo/other things. I would love it if they added strawberry jello!
Takeout is also good, I would recommend the bento boxes or sushi sets. In short: I rate 9/10, you literally can't go wrong here! To quote another birthday attendee upon being asked how our dinner was, "girl, you crush it every time and you know it."”

“I was very excited to be dining at Sugo on Surrey for the second time on NYE. Last year was a bit more expensive at $125 pp (unfortunately, I was double charged for the intermediate meal last year as well and didn’t notice until the next day) compared to $80 pp this year, but it was absolutely delicious that I wanted to go again. However, it was a bit underwhelming this year especially with their steak frites main dish. To state it simply, it was about as good as a dish you could get at a bigger chain restaurant. The other dishes were fantastic though! The servers here are very friendly and provided a great service.”

“They're pretty busy almost always, but the staff is extremely friendly, super fast (even with always being swamped), and have never messed up an order of mine. Everyone seems to communicate efficiently on the floor, clearly they're doing something right.
The times I get lunch wraps or bowls from here, they've always had fresh& clean vegetables & great proportions, 10/10.
I've noticed they could have a bit more patience with newer/younger staff, otherwise the best Tim's in Guelph.
Dietary restrictions: Staff is lovely with recommending alternatives when they don't have what you originally were ordering. (Which is rare)

The tacos were really good and they were heavy handed with the meat and toppings which I always appreciate getting what I pay for. Although, they could’ve put a bit more sour cream or put it and the salsa on the side (just my personal preference- to avoid sogginess)
Chips and queso were delicious, chips taste fresh (wouldn’t be surprised if they were baked in house) and the queso has its own kick to it which I really enjoyed.”

I used to work for the company so was disappointed in the quality

“My wife and I have recently moved to the Guelph area (Puslinch) and have been on a mission to find our “spots” to dine. La Cucina came up in a Google search for us as a pizza nite was in order. I wasn’t interested in a chain I wanted an experience.. well La Cucina you provided ?!. This cozy , authentic Italian restaurant gave us what we were looking for. Upon entering the Host Michael greeted us with some fun banter and informed us that even though we didn’t have a reservation he could accommodate us (thankfully). For future reference we recommend reservations especially at a peak time like Friday dinner hour. After being seated our server Maddie gave us the complete lowdown on the menu and pleasantly gave her recommendations. A meat and cheese board to share followed by a stone fired meat lover’s pizza. Our food was timely, well portioned and served with a smile ! We enjoyed an Old Fashion cocktail with our starter followed by a bottle of Chianti Riserva. Have to say the wine selection is extensive and the atmosphere begged the bottle as we enjoyed our time well past our meal. Whoever the Owner’s are you have nailed it ! Can’t say enough about this gem in the heart of the restaurant district of downtown Guelph. We will be back and Maddie yes it will be on a Tuesday for the pasta ?”

“Total hidden gem! We are staying nearby and wanted to grab dinner. Decided to walk around and came upon Pablo's. The menu looked good and was extremely well priced, and my husband was drawn in by the all-you-can-eat wings, and the patio looked fantastic! The menu consists of fried chicken - in pieces, in sandwich form and as wings. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich with fried potatoes as a side (pictured). The sandwich was absolutely delicious and very spicy. The fried potatoes were also delicious - potato chunks instead of fries, and crispy and very well seasoned. My husband had the all you can eat wings and two sauces. The wings were full wings (not split) and southern fried - our server declared they don't eff around 😂. And they don't. The wings were excellent on their own, but they have a variety of sauces you can add on for a couple of bucks each - you get a very good serving of each sauce. They also have a small but good variety of canned craft beers and cider. The patio is great and they have a bunch of pinball machines and other arcade games inside. The prices were great as well - all you can eat wings + 2 sauces, Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich with 1 side, 3 beers and a soft drink came to $56. They don't have a website, but trust me when I say this place is worth checking out for a meal. The service was great, the prices were great and the food was absolutely delicious.”

“went to this establishment with my wife while I played in a league. I ordered my drinks, of course using my manners. After both of us ordering drink as well as many others, I had received my drink and many others, while my wife's drink had not. I went up to politely ask about my wife's drink taking so long. They said it was coming. Then right after that I was confronted by a different waitress stating that I was rude, literally signaling me in front of a crowd saying that I was rude. Neither of us have been to this establishment before and within 20 minutes were told we were being rude. I did not realize that using manners and asking for my drink was being rude. Even all the other patrons could not understand what I had done. I found this to be VERY offensive to both me and my wife. Don't judge people by how others act, especially for a patrons first visit. Maybe finding some nicer staff would be nice, maybe someone to appreciate the customers that come in to your establishment, there are many other places to spend my hard earned money because obviously they don't want it.”

The service is usually pretty brusque but that's fine because the drinks always deliver. They also have a tiny Christmas tree that sits in the corner year-round. I've decided to call him Steve. “The visit was great and I was glad we went to the afternoon seating as the food was filling. All the courses were tasty and presented very nice. I enjoyed the table shows before each course. The only thought, the reduction used on the chicken dish tasted the same as the one used on my steak. I would have preferred a different flavour for each. “It's not often you get blown away from a drive-thru interaction. Recently, we experienced an amazing customer service episode with a young gentleman named Sathvik. He welcomed us by asking, "how has your day been so far?". Great eye contact, genuine smile and attentiveness. He even sensed our uncertainty on whether we wanted any sauces with our order which we finally said 'no' too and when he came back with our order bag, he stated "I threw in a couple in case you change your minds". We frequent the Clair Road location regularly and are always impressed with the level of service from the staff. It is a testament to the quality of training from their management and ownership. First of all it arrived still hot (only 10 min delivery) but when I opened it up, the fries were all dark and over cooked (not a single golden fry) it didn’t look like extra pulled pork (like I had ordered), the pork was dry with little to no sauce, and barely any cheese curds in the poutine. I used to work for the company so was disappointed in the quality
