“We visited Saigon House for lunch last week and were very impressed with the food and service. The restaurant was very clean, and we were greeted and seated right away upon arrival. There were a few other tables already dining, which created a nice atmosphere.
Our drink orders were taken promptly by a young gentleman who was very polite, and our food orders were taken shortly after our drinks arrived. We ordered appetizers along with our lunches. My husband had the pho, and I ordered a vermicelli dish. We started with the shrimp spring rolls, which were a 10/10, the flavours were spot on.

Everything we ordered was fresh, flavourful, and well prepared, and we left very happy with our experience. My only small wish is that they offered lunch specials. Will definitely be back!“

“After a long day, I went to a small Vietnamese restaurant in Hamilton, Ontario. I ordered a meal and, while waiting, a homeless person came in. The owner, instead of asking him to leave, offered him a meal and invited him to have supper around back. It's great to see that there are still good people and businesses in the world. I thanked the owner and gave him a handshake. Truly heart warming ! Food was fantastic support this amazing restaurant!“

“It's like going back in time to a Vietnamese restaurant from 20 years ago - I mean that in the best possible way. The menu is still reasonably priced, not like most other Viet places in the city that have jacked their prices in recent years. And the portions are great - my regular pho had double the beef I would typically get at other joints. And the broth was flavourful and clean. A Barton St. institution that I hope is around forever!“

There is some type of sauce that is used on the classic banh mi that takes it to a next level.
Loved that there was not an excessive amount of butter as I have experienced elsewhere.

Bread could be a touch fresher or maybe it was just the bum end of the bun.

My wife said that it could be the best banh mi she's ever had.

Friendly owner taking the orders and an old poa-poa making the sandwiches (love it).

Can't complain about the price; $5.50 for a regular classic and $6.50 for extra meat.
Ranks high up on my list of best banh mi after only one visit. Will be back for more.“

“Had take out and also dined in at this place. There’s free parking on site and accessible to other nearby cafes and eateries. The place has plenty of tables and the washroom is clean and well kept. The food is very tasty. The prices are amazingly affordable and portions just right. I love how they are not stingy on vegetables either. I highly recommend the curries with rice. I tried the green curry with chicken and it was delicious. Also tried the lemongrass grilled chicken and pork. I just found the chicken to be on the drier side and slice to be thin.
