“Possibly the best omelette ever. I ordered the Mediterranean and added black olives and it was amazing. The home fries weren't the star of the show, but the omelette more than made up for it. I arrived just after they opened on a Friday morning in early April, so I'm sure it gets busy in the summer. But I didn't mind the quiet.“

“Saturday night was my first visit to HD and I have to say I was impressed. As a person who has known Dave for many years he has hit a home run here. The clientele, vibe and the service were exceptional. I don't drink anymore and the staff quickly pivoted to non alcohol options and even had booze-less Tequila. Will be back very soon“

“We had supper at this location last evening with my husband’s two daughters and one our granddaughters, her boyfriend and our son-in-law. Andrew was our excellent server who was pleasant and friendly despite having worked all day. He was very attentive and saw to all our requests in a timely manner. He organized individual bills accurately and everything came as ordered. He is an excellent member of your staff, and we hope to be served by him at our next visit!!“

“it was mine and my girlfriends first time at a moxies restaurant. We had delicious food, it was a great atmosphere and music, and also had a great server named Ryan. One thing that I noticed was that he came to check on us multiple times to make sure everything was ok with our food, in which is not done at many other places. It showed that he cared about our experience and made it very pleasurable. His customer service was number 1.“

“Simply a wonderful dining experience. Every plate is made to share, so it is a fun restaurant for a romantic night out. Every dish was exquisitely crafted with flavours that were bold but not overwhelming. Even which dishes were brought out at what time was well curated so that each dish complimented the other. Portions are small and it is expensive, but so very good.“

“my friend & i visited last night - we thoroughly enjoyed our experience!
Leanne provided excellent service despite working solo in a full-house on a very busy monday evening.
at first she politely expressed reluctance to seat us & honest concern we may experience lengthy wait time but, she so very graciously allowed us to seat ourselves on the patio where my friend & i more than happily entertained ourselves in conversation.
our experience was well worth the wait.
dinner was delicious! i had the trout & prosecco and my friend had chicken & paloma cocktail. both dishes were beautifully plated and perfect in flavour - i highly recommend the trout w capers to other future diners.
Leanne was lovely and we enjoyed chatting with her at the end of our meal.
kudos to you, Leanne! we look forward to returning again :)

“Absolutely terrific local pub serving great food at reasonable prices. Be sure to get there to listen to the bands as well. You can’t go wrong with a wood-burning fireplace, a charming interior and classic homemade food. Fantastic and friendly service. Highly recommend.“

“We came here, for lunch, to celebrate a graduation, on a Tuesday. Service was prompt and polite. They accommodated a celiac diet by creating a dish (not on the menu) fresh, and free from any cross contamination. All the meals at the table were delicious- particularly the mushroom risotto... I would go back purely for that. There cocktails were not extraordinary, however its worth mentioning the house pinot grigio was phenomenal.

Side note, I appreciate that a place like this doesn't enforce a strict dress code. Although we were all dressed up due to coming from an event its nice to know I can enjoy this level of food without having to get dressed to the nines every time.“

“Food is very tasty and healthy. I found 2 items that I could have just because of food allergies. The menu is quite varied and selection are very appealing. Burgers are real meat with no wheat fillers. Lot of food in each serving. Service is cafeteria style. Cashier was less than engaging. Place is very clean. Has lots of seating at tables of 4.

“Food was very subpar. the garlic loaf was cold, the soup luke warm, and the chicken fingers for $21 were coated in an oil based sauce that you could not see or taste. Asked for sauce to dip and it was mostly oil mixed with a hot sauce. Yellow Currie was ok but very bland in taste. stack quesadilla was luke warm did not come with sour crème or pico de gala. it had been a long time since we had been here and it looks like it will be even longer before we ever go back. I can say that the servers were pleasant and apologetic for what came out of the kitchen.“

“My husband and I have been here many times over the years and have enjoyed the food and patio atmosphere. This last visit was our best for customer service when we were taken care of by Nicole. She was attentive, genuinely friendly and a pleasant conversationalist. My husband also had a steak n’ swiss sandwich that was his best entree here to date. “Had an amazing experience thanks to Rachel. We were a large group of 14, and she handled our orders with incredible efficiency and a fantastic attitude even though we came so close to closing time. Drinks were flowing, everyone got exactly what they wanted, and she even remembered our preferences throughout the night. We had some issues with our food, My sisters salmon came out burnt and my steak came out bland but she helped us get remakes so we left happy. It's not easy to keep such a big party happy, but she absolutely nailed it. Highly recommend you ask for Rachel next time you go!“

“I came to Hess on Saturday looking for a place to go get some drinks out with my friend and I saw this place. We decided to go in on a whim since neither of us has gone out to a bar in Hamilton yet around that area and the place was really great! I don’t think I’ve ever had a larger pitcher of sangria in my life for $30. So worth the money and Lucas was the best server ever! He was so prompt and gave very good recommendations. I will definitely be going back in the near future.“
