“Had a great dining experience. The staff were very welcoming as we entered the restaurant. We were seated quickly ordered the Spicy Maki dish as well as chicken fried rice. Our orders came with a small tasty salad with peanut dressing and the most flavorful miso soup I've ever had. The making was a little spicy and quite tasty. The chicken fried rice was excellent. It was served very hot and the grilled chicken was grilled to perfection..
The establishment is on the smaller side so I would suggest reservations. There is a small parking lot in the rear of the building.“

“The restaurant, service and food at this restaurant was good. However the only downside is that the customers are literally asked to pay a tip. During this difficult period of the pandemic, it is hard to leave a tip. It should be optional but if you do not tip, you are sort of asked "why no tip". This becomes odd and the customer should be given the discretion to tip. This is the reason, I am giving 4 stars to this restaurant.“

“Came in on a Tuesday around 4:00 PM for their daily special and was super impressed! We got the chicken teriyaki special for $18.99, which was a great bang for your buck. For two people, the total came out to just around $40. Service was quick and efficient, especially during the weekday afternoon slump. We’ll definitely be back to try more!“

“I came here for lunch with my coworkers and we shared a tasting box plus a few rolls on the side.

I don’t eat cucumber, so I specifically asked for no cucumber in our order and was told it could be swapped with avocado, which I really appreciated.

We were also informed it would take about 20 minutes, but it ended up being closer to 40–45 minutes due to the lunchtime rush. Totally understandable though, and the manager was very apologetic and even gave us a $5 coupon for our next visit along with our box.

When the food arrived, the presentation of the tasting box was absolutely WOW.. it was so beautifully done. We were honestly just too hungry at that point to admire it for long.

Unfortunately, I noticed the first roll I picked still had cucumber in it, and when we flagged it, the staff immediately looked into it. It turned out there was a miscommunication about the substitution, and most of the rolls in the box had cucumber. The manager personally came over, apologized, explained everything, and immediately took care of it by offering to remake the box without cucumber and providing a full refund, which really went above and beyond.

Despite the hiccup, the service and care from the team really stood out. Mistakes happen, especially during busy lunch hours, but the way the team responded made a big difference. I’d definitely come back again.“

“Great spot for Korean food as there aren't many great Korean food options in the area. The service is great. I love that they had sushi options as well as Korean food. I was there for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and there are plenty of seats. My son loved the sushi here as well as the bibimbap. Plenty of parking as well so you don't have to worry. There is additional parking in the back.“

“Delicious sashimi! The salmon is melt in your mouth. I loved the torched mixed fish option, tasty. The crispy chicken is superb. The chunks of chicken are large the batter is very crispy and the dipping sauce is creamy and satisfying. I will order from this place again. I didn’t remember until we were almost done eating that I wanted to take some pictures. This only usually happens when the food is so aesthetically pleasing that I forget to take my camera out and take a picture before I start gobbling it up. I can’t comment on the service or the atmosphere because I ordered the food to be delivered.“

“Mi-Ne has many locations and everyone has a slightly different menu offering.

This location has a lot of private booths and the overall decor and feel is very Asian and provides a different dining experience.

Overall, the food is decent, like their other locations I find this style of Maki, Nigiri, and rolls too large. The mouth feel and eating experience gets affected in a negative way - larger portions isn't always better, I rather more smaller pieces so you can enjoy the flavours and textures more.

The actual ingredients seem fresh, but the tempura shrimp used was not fresh and too dry.

They have a lot of interesting combo offerings but the price is on the higher side.

I give them 7.5/10!“

Tomo Japanese Restaurant was a great experience in terms of food, service, atmosphere, and above all safety for me and my son. “This is a hidden gem located in the Farmer’s market. I believe they have two locations. One is a restaurant and this one is a to go spot. Highly recommend coming to the to go spot. The owners were there when I ordered and the sushi/sashimi was very fresh. I did go in the morning close to lunch so maybe that’s a factor. Prices are very good if you pay by cash as well! Not to mention the portions were amazing! I did go to the restaurant location but was disappointed.
