“I stopped in sometime after lunch, and figured it looked like a nice place. Warm friendly greeting, took my order, confirmed at the window. Discussed my order and recommended a small change. My advice order the trio #6, I changed my fries to poutine for an extra charge. Food came out hot, fresh and so tasty. Fries were good, gravy was nice and thick coating the fries, cheese curds melty, gravy taste good not like water, smoked meat sandwich on nice fresh bread and just the right amount of mustard. Good fresh hot food, really good flavours, I didn’t find the sandwich greasy at all, and something different about the gravy…OH YEAH…flavour. Definitely going back.“

“The most friendly customer service I have experienced in a hotel in many years. The people at the desk were incredibly helpful and the restaurant was amazing !! We ate there 2 time for dinner and the service was beyond expectation. We thoroughly enjoyed Mikayla who was our server and the manager (Jamal) was beyond a wonderful face person for the holiday inn restaurant brand. He was very welcoming and not only an amazing ambassador for Holiday in but also made us look forward to the next time we visit this specific Holiday Inn. Location and customer service... “We really enjoyed the black dog tavern and it exceeded our expectations. From the outside it looks like any other pub, but the food is above average. We ordered the oysters, poutine, french onion soup and tagliatelle pasta. The oysters were very good. The French onion soup was very very good. The poutine was very very good as well. The women enjoyed her pasta too. Service was great and they have a nice patio at the back. The price of the food is a little lower than others around Kingston and quality is quite high in comparison. I will be back in the future when I visit Kingston again.“
