“V good place, only wait time is looong“

“Last night, I had the pleasure of arranging a dinner for my former colleagues from Unilever Pakistan. There were about 40 of us, and I’ve had the privilege of organizing these gatherings for a few years now, each time at a different restaurant. This time, we met at Charsi Karhai, and I have to say, it was truly one of the best experiences we've had. This isn’t just my opinion; everyone who attended had glowing feedback. Here’s why: • Prayer arrangements: Since our dinner was scheduled for 7 pm, around maghrib, many of us wanted to offer prayers. The restaurant already had a decent arrangement in place, which was very thoughtful. • Personalized menu: Gill, the restaurant manager, coordinated with me to fine-tune the menu to our liking. We went back and forth with texts and calls to ensure everything was just right, and I really appreciated the effort. Both Gill and his team member, Bipsha, were extremely helpful throughout. • Private space: Half of the restaurant was allocated to us with a partition set up. This allowed us to have our own space, which gave everyone the chance to mingle freely. It was such a refreshing change from our usual restaurant experiences, where we’d end up seated at separate tables with limited interaction. • Delicious food: The food, as always, was outstanding. We ordered Chicken Karhai, Goat Karhai, Tawa Keema, Bihari Kebab, and Palak Daal. Midway through dinner, Gill suggested adding Kheer for dessert, which was a hit with everyone. We also included tea, which wasn’t in our original plan, but it made the evening even better. • Buffet style: The food was served buffet-style, which made everything so much smoother. There was no clutter on the tables, and everyone could help themselves, ensuring nothing went to waste. It also encouraged people to move around and connect with others, which really added to the warm and social atmosphere. • Excellent service: The service was top-notch. Bipsha and the team were very professional and patient, especially considering the size of our group. • Reasonable prices: The food was priced quite reasonably, especially considering all the extra touches that made the evening so special. • Personal touch: During the dinner, the restaurant owner, Jamshed, came by to check on us. He personally spoke with me to ensure everything was going smoothly and asked if there was anything else they could do to enhance our experience. It was a lovely gesture. One thing I discovered about Charsi Karhai is that they offer a customizable buffet for larger groups, which is quite unique compared to other restaurants. You get to choose the dishes you want rather than sticking to a fixed menu, which I thought was a great option. I know this may sound like I’m promoting Charsi Karhai, but I genuinely mean every word. “I tried this place when they first opened but wasn't completely sold on It. In hind sight it it was because I ordered off their suggested menu. This time I built my own and added in house sausage and chicken. Let me just say the sausage was outstanding. I would order it on its own it's so good.
Portion size is really good and there's a large number of toppings. Take your time to choose what you like and you won't be disappointed.

The only issue I had was I ordered cheese sauce and they forgot to put it on. Still enjoyed every bite though“

“Went to Monasaba Halifax today, I must say the lamb mandi was super delicious. The taste the spice level and the meat everything was at excellence. We also ordered beef qolaba and enjoyed the spicy and tasty melt in mouth treat. The desserts are awesome too . I am definitely going there again!“

“Great burger if you’re looking for a safe option. Simple and does the job. You can tell the beef they use is top quality. While a sesame bun isn’t my go to, I still enjoyed my meal as the patty is juicy. This is a place that looks like it’s run by people who understand what composes a good burger. The flavor you need is there. If you want to be more feisty, go for one of their stuffed patties. Although that is not my thing. I like simple.

They have many locations across Canada and you can trust that they will serve you right. All the best“

“I highly recommend this place. The food was delicious and fresh , we tried almost everything on the menu and everything was 10/10 . Service was really good and fast . Staff are very friendly and generous. You all should go and try their food .“

I had an excellent experience at Flame Shawarma and Grill. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the shawarma, authentic flavors and perfectly seasoned. The place was clean and cozy, great for a relaxed meal or hanging out with friends or family.

I especially want to highlight the service from Azza, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional throughout our visit. She made sure everything was perfect and made us feel very welcome.

“I’ve been to this location many a time, today my father had to go in an order for me and Younus actually spoke with me over the phone to complete the order, legendary customer service on his part and exceptional food. Give this guy a raise!“

“Good desserts and tea but not enough space to sit. Didn't try their biryani and curries yet, so can't comment on that. Also the samosas didn't taste that good. Should try other foods there. As of now it's just cute and small place to hangout for a tea.“

“Best value for money. Pro tip - During peak hours you can call and order early. All meat dishes are delicious - my fav is chapli. Their bread is freshly baked and you can eat just plain bread - it's so flavourful and right texture. Don't forget to try their complimentary tea - it has light spices - perfect way to end a sumptuous meal.“

“Just visited the Financial Drive new location. We ordered the lamb chops, beef Tikka meal and Watan mantoo (dumplings). The portions were spot on for the price and quality, definitely a great value compared to other similar places. Everything was seasoned very well and I asked for tomatoes on the side and they accommodated my request no questions asked and pickup was ready for me right on time when I arrived. We will be back soon, thank you for a great meal!“

“The food at the Turkish Flames is excellent, fresh, perfectly cooked and spiced. We ate here twice during a recent stay at the nearby Sandman hotel, and it was by far the best food in that locale!“

Middle and South Eastern vibes where people and their families hangout at evening times, which will make the city more vibrant. “A place that makes you feel like Royalty! We have been going to Zauq for such a long time, and there has not been a single time when we have been disappointed with the food, service and ambience. In fact we have been advertising this place to all of our friends. This time, we had a wonderful welcome staff Ms. Balpreet, who was so polite, courteous, and accommodating as I am disabled. Our server, Ms. Baldeep, was also so polite and efficient that it was a treat having our food there. “It was our first visit, and the experience was great. We ordered the Nihari with plain naan and Biryani, and all of the food had great spice level and great overall taste, reminded me of food back home. The presentation, quality and consistency of Raita was incredible and tasted homemade. Definitely recommend and will be visiting again :) Great service by Keshaf, Ahmed and the female waitress (boxing day around 2pm). Very fast, friendly and attentive. Overall great atmosphere, service and food.“
