“Last night, I had the pleasure of arranging a dinner for my former colleagues from Unilever Pakistan. There were about 40 of us, and I’ve had the privilege of organizing these gatherings for a few years now, each time at a different restaurant. This time, we met at Charsi Karhai, and I have to say, it was truly one of the best experiences we've had. This isn’t just my opinion; everyone who attended had glowing feedback. Here’s why: • Prayer arrangements: Since our dinner was scheduled for 7 pm, around maghrib, many of us wanted to offer prayers. The restaurant already had a decent arrangement in place, which was very thoughtful. • Personalized menu: Gill, the restaurant manager, coordinated with me to fine-tune the menu to our liking. We went back and forth with texts and calls to ensure everything was just right, and I really appreciated the effort. Both Gill and his team member, Bipsha, were extremely helpful throughout. • Private space: Half of the restaurant was allocated to us with a partition set up. This allowed us to have our own space, which gave everyone the chance to mingle freely. It was such a refreshing change from our usual restaurant experiences, where we’d end up seated at separate tables with limited interaction. • Delicious food: The food, as always, was outstanding. We ordered Chicken Karhai, Goat Karhai, Tawa Keema, Bihari Kebab, and Palak Daal. Midway through dinner, Gill suggested adding Kheer for dessert, which was a hit with everyone. We also included tea, which wasn’t in our original plan, but it made the evening even better. • Buffet style: The food was served buffet-style, which made everything so much smoother. There was no clutter on the tables, and everyone could help themselves, ensuring nothing went to waste. It also encouraged people to move around and connect with others, which really added to the warm and social atmosphere. • Excellent service: The service was top-notch. Bipsha and the team were very professional and patient, especially considering the size of our group. • Reasonable prices: The food was priced quite reasonably, especially considering all the extra touches that made the evening so special. • Personal touch: During the dinner, the restaurant owner, Jamshed, came by to check on us. He personally spoke with me to ensure everything was going smoothly and asked if there was anything else they could do to enhance our experience. It was a lovely gesture. One thing I discovered about Charsi Karhai is that they offer a customizable buffet for larger groups, which is quite unique compared to other restaurants. You get to choose the dishes you want rather than sticking to a fixed menu, which I thought was a great option. I know this may sound like I’m promoting Charsi Karhai, but I genuinely mean every word. “We recently had the pleasure of discovering this gem of a restaurant, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! After just one bite, we were all blown away, absolutely scrumptious! The flavors transport you straight to Dubai with their authentic Yemeni dishes. We indulged in both the lamb and chicken, and each was a culinary masterpiece. The rice was perfectly fluffy, and the meat was cooked to absolute perfection. To top it all off, the customer service was exceptional. As we were finishing our meal, a staff member approached our table to gather feedback and check if we wanted to order more. I can confidently say that this is the best Mandi I’ve ever had. “Great burger if you’re looking for a safe option. Simple and does the job. You can tell the beef they use is top quality. While a sesame bun isn’t my go to, I still enjoyed my meal as the patty is juicy. This is a place that looks like it’s run by people who understand what composes a good burger. The flavor you need is there. If you want to be more feisty, go for one of their stuffed patties. Although that is not my thing. I like simple.

“Just visited the Financial Drive new location. We ordered the lamb chops, beef Tikka meal and Watan mantoo (dumplings). The portions were spot on for the price and quality, definitely a great value compared to other similar places. Everything was seasoned very well and I asked for tomatoes on the side and they accommodated my request no questions asked and pickup was ready for me right on time when I arrived. “I visited Watan Kabab Mississauga recently and had an amazing experience. The chapli kabab is absolutely the best I’ve ever tried — juicy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The portion sizes are really generous, which makes it great value for the price. The food was served fresh and hot, and overall it was a very satisfying meal. Definitely recommend this place if you’re craving authentic kababs!“
