“It’s a great restaurant to hangout on your off days. Very friendly staff members and very tasty food at an affordable price. The taste of the ribs is still in my mouth. We ordered Nachos, fries, pork ribs and steak. All of it has to get 5/5 rating.

And the ambience of the restaurant is amazing. Perfect lighting for an evening dinner and a romantic date. Has plenty of parking space. Highly recommended for all age groups.

“’ve been a fan of Sansotei for years, and this Merivale location continues that same reliable, comforting experience I’ve come to expect. Everything here is consistently good—from the broth to the noodles to the toppings—and it matches the quality I’ve enjoyed at their Toronto locations as well.

My “home base” will always be the Sansotei on Bank Street, right next to my office building. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve slipped in during lunch for a quick bowl that resets the whole day. This Merivale spot carries that same warmth and consistency, which is why it’s so easy to recommend.

“One of my go-to places for Chinese food in Ottawa. The taste is authentically Shanghainese and tastes just like the food I've eaten in Shanghai. Their pork wonton soup and spicy beef brisket noodles are my go-to (of course, with their pan fried buns), and are delicious with generous portion sizes. Their shop is a bit small though, so it's good to go early or call ahead to get a spot! Their pan fried buns are also perfect to re-heat in the air fryer if you get take out.“

A lot of burger and sandwich choices made to order. Love the beef alternative choices. Inside a butcher shop/ marketplace so people tend not hang around late. Still very open and bright with ample seating.

Onion rings had a real onion taste but does that look like an $8-8.50 portion? Inflation? I'm going back for the burgers.“

The service is very polite and friendly (and online ordering is a big plus), food is delivered very promptly (one time it was 15 minutes early!). The food portions are generous, but quality is not sacrificed for quantity. What's a cool plus is that they use a mix of Styrofoam and reusable plastic containers (not only better for storage but a little less wasteful). I have only eaten 3 times from here, but have been very happy all times. The fried rice, general tao chicken, chicken balls, and egg rolls (among like 5 others I've tried) have all tasted great. Every single item that we ordered is good and has its distinct flavor., from the soup, to dimsum and mains, which is saying much because time and again, when you order this much variety, chances are the flavors are similar and just disappear into the next.
