“We had a nice dinner here. The ramen was pretty darn good, with tasty pork and silky broth, and satisfied my partner’s craving for ramen well. The portion was exactly right. The zangi fried chicken was delicious, being perfectly between crunchy and chewy. The seaweed salad was decent, but a small portion for the not-insignificant cost of $5.50. The servers were exceptionally polite and helpful with some menu notes and alerting us to some unavailable items, such as specific cuts of pork and clarifying drink types. The ice machine was also not working, which was too bad, as my soda was warmer than I would have liked. The location is inauspicious, and the decor is not inspiring. It’s a good spot to eat, but not exceptional.“

“Delicious Shanghai noodles and dumplings. Fresh ingredients and tasty soup base on noodles. Quiet and cosy environment. The fried dumplings were just lube warm but the quality is above average overall. Price is reasonable too.

This restaurant should pay closer attention to maintaining clean utensils and tables.“

“What can I say! Excellent that’s what. Went to Vera’s on the recommendation of my daughter and it was great. For those of us who live in a condo without BBQ access this is just like cooking in your backyard.

Will be back next time I’ll ask that my burger be more medium than well done but still very tasty.“

“This place has a relaxed, welcoming vibe whether you’re a seasoned sailor or just dropping by for the view. The marina is well-kept, and the sunsets over the water are gorgeous. I like how the clubhouse has decent food and a casual patio. Downsides? It’s not super beginner-friendly unless you’re joining a program, and parking can be tight during events. Still, it’s a solid spot to unwind by the water or get out on a boat.“

“We were craving some pizza and this place was walking distance from where we were staying. Came in, were immediately greeted and told to sit anywhere. There were a couple other parties already seated, but there was plenty of space for the 3 of use. The decor is minimal, but the way the displayed their pizza pan sizes was really cool since it looks like flowers on a vine. The server was really friendly and took care of us right away, she explained the beer special and then came back with our waters and drinks.
We ordered the colonnade special, as it is not often you see broccoli on pizza and it is their signature pizza. She came out with a table top stand for the pizza which was nice. The pizza came out and she served each of us a slice. This Ottawa style pizza is quite hearty. My wife generally hates having cheese on top of the toppings, but this pizza was really well made. The toppings were heavily laid on and so this is a very filling pizza. I was pleasantly surprised that even picking it up the crust held its own under the weight of the toppings. I definitely can see why these are more often eaten with a fork and knife. Overall it was a very pleasant experience, the pizza is good, and the service was great.“

“Updated review: they removed the Philly burger. I used to get the Philly burger, extra cheese sauce and added coleslaw. It’s the only place in Ottawa that had it, and now it’s gone. Old: 5stars but they ain’t open late. First of all their burgers are AMAZING. Easily worth $10. Poutine quality top notch but the employees need to lesson on how to pour gravy and make fries. Wasn't impressed with having tiny end pieces of fries ruining my poutine on multiple occasions. I dont care about your waste product, i want fries. Everything these guys have is perfectly portioned for a man. Food is dope! Meat is GREAT. Their Cheesy zesty sauce is dank btw get it.“

“Everything is simply awesome. The menus are simple, with a lot if options. The service is very polite and friendly (and online ordering is a big plus), food is delivered very promptly (one time it was 15 minutes early!). The food portions are generous, but quality is not sacrificed for quantity. What's a cool plus is that they use a mix of Styrofoam and reusable plastic containers (not only better for storage but a little less wasteful). I have only eaten 3 times from here, but have been very happy all times. The fried rice, general tao chicken, chicken balls, and egg rolls (among like 5 others I've tried) have all tasted great. Definitely think I've found my new Chinese delivery / take out place!“

“First time trying Qing shu malatang and it was delicious!! I loved the soup base options compared to other mlt restos. I got the spicy beef bone (little spicy) and it was the perfect amount of spice for me. Usually when I ask for little spice at mlts it still comes out very spicy, so I definitely recommend Qing Shu if you're looking for something more mild but still very tasty. My friends got the tomato and pork bone and said they were both very flavourful as well!

Prices were also very reasonable. There is also an unlimited sauce bar (for the sesame sauce lovers) and plum juice station. I will say that the sesame sauce at other mlts was more delicious, but the broth was so flavourful that I didn't even think I needed the sesame sauce. Overall great mlt and would definitely come again!!“

“Best shrimp fried rice in town. Love the golden mushroom soup. Most times food is delicious, but occasionally there are food issues like great fried rice with old stale peas. A few time wrong food was prepared and man who hosts is too serious. He needs to smile more. Over all recommend, but could improve a few things.“

“We ordered Uber Eats. Delivery time was slow (an hour for Merivale and Meadowlands. Food was authentic and portions were generous. We got aubergine stuffed with minced shrimp which was tasty and not too greasy. Stir fried choi sum with garlic sauce was crisp but under seasoned. Apologies that we only thought of taking a photo long after digging in.“
