“Felt bad so gave her a tip as she is the only person working here and takes a while to make the food, ten minutes. I came In and interrupted a convo she was having with an old timer customer.

I think I was quoted the wrong price or I heard wrong but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. I got a club house sandwich and asked for the bacon on the side and got some fries. Total should be 5 dollars plus tax which is 5.60. I think I was asked for 6.50 but I'll let this slide as most come here for the price.

“Susie’s Rise & Dine is everything we expected it to be and more!!! The food was so delicious and came out super quick and fresh. The braised short rib galbi on their dinner menu is a must order. Their famous pancakes were unlike any I’ve ever had. The customer service here is also incredible - we were so happy to have Kaz as our server as she was so kind and thoughtful!! Can’t wait to come back soon for brunch. :)“

“Almost 25 years ago I used to frequent this restaurant as it was few steps from my place on Erskine Ave. I have fond memories of walking in on cold Toronto days and enjoying hot soup and chicken souvlaki with home fries. The elderly couple behind the counter would diligently prepare dishes and bring to the table. I remember the husband once advised that I shouldn’t order onion rings as it would be a lot for me along with home fries. I thought that was funny, but that is what happens when you are in a family run business. They are not about making a buck, they care for their customers. I am not sure if that elderly couple is still around or if this restaurant is being run by the same family but I just thought it would be appropriate to leave this review even if it’s 25 year late. Thank you for the delicious food and excellent service some 25 years ago.“

“This is the best for when you just wanna have breakfast in an authentic diner. I got like 3 eggs bacon sausage potatoes bread juice and pancakes all under 20 dollars and the food is amazing. Not the best looking but tastes fire! You HAVE to have their chocolate chip pancakes they are so bomb some of the best I've ever had and they aren't stingy too (tell them to put extra for a chocolate coma).“

“So my wife and I have been hearing about the food in Canada and while we're both stuck to what we know I decided to take a chance and order a Canadian staple, Poutine. I gotta say it takes alot like Disco fries. If you're from Jersey then you know what I mean. We also got the Buffalo wings and the kids got hot dogs, fries and chicken fingers. Our hostess/server Francine was very friendly and down to earth. We asked about places my wife and I thought of checking out with good schools. She shared great advice and our kids mentioned that she was cool too. My only knock was the diner itself seemed small to other diners I've been too but I liked the quietness too. Next time Imma try another authentic Canadian dish.“
