“I have only has the toasted western and fries. Without ant doubt at all this western is way better than any other I have ever had and the price was reasonable. The fries were good. Bright and fresh rather than darker brown indicating old grease. I have only been there twice both times about 2 pm to 3 pm and I was the only one there. I like the Jazz FM music they always play as that is what I almost listen to. For me the place being empty with just music was great but I am concerned they may not be getting enough business. That is why I decided to write this review. For me they are probably the best restaurant anywhere.“

“The food is is good, it is diner comfort food. I have tried almost all the items on the breakfast menu. My favourite is the Flaskback Combo. It’s your typical eggs, bacon, sausage, peameal bacon, and home fries with a side of two pancakes.
The restaurant itself is small and looks worn out but the service is great! That is why I come back to this location.“

“This diner has become one of my favourite places to eat and chillax. The owners - a sweet married couple - are very hospitable, the food is great, and their daughter is funny and super friendly. I'll definite be taking along company next time to share the experience! :D“

“Barely after the restaurant opened, the place was already full of customers. We were lucky there was still a table left for us. The portions are pretty big but the price is also a bit more expensive compared to other restaurants that offer a similar type of dish. Around 30$ for the fish and 15$ for the eggplant. I do have to say that the flavours were quite remarkable. The fish had a great level of spice, it was not too spicy where it would overwhelm all the other flavours and it was spicy enough to call it spicy as well. The eggplant had a nice sweet and spicy flavour to it. I especially enjoyed the crispy exterior that they added to the eggplant which made them go so well with the sauce. The service here was fine. The waiters were respectful but they were almost throwing the food on our table. Additionally, nobody said anything to us throughout the whole meal. When we arrived, we were pointed to a table and then ordering was done through a tablet. When the waiters were bringing food to the table, nothing was said as well.“

“This review is a little different from my usual ones. The rating may not seem to match the experience below, but I rated it based on what Markham Station offers overall, especially as a late night option.
Walking in, we were seated pretty quickly, which was a good start. After that though, we sat for about 20 minutes before anyone came by. We could see the waitress serving other tables in our section and being friendly, but there was little engagement with us at first and no initial check in. Eventually she came over and took our order.
I was in the mood for breakfast, so breakfast it was. Being a diner, and after specifically asking for soft scrambled eggs, I had certain expectations. Based on the picture, I’ll let you be the judge on how that turned out.
The food itself was decent. Nothing bad, but nothing particularly memorable either.
Now, here’s why I gave the rating I did. It was very late at night, and Markham Station offers something that is hard to find in the east end at that hour, a big menu with plenty of variety and reasonable prices. There’s genuinely something for everyone, and having that many options late at night is a huge plus.
Would I come back? Yes, if I found myself in the same situation and in the area. Despite the slow start, our waitress was a genuinely nice person, and I’m willing to chalk it up to one server managing a large section. Sometimes late night dining comes with that tradeoff.“

“Never thought to pay a visit here but was looking for a local greasy spoon to support - came here for breakfast and noticed that a lot of line men and construction crew come here so you know you’re in for some good value and decent food. I was shocked to know that I was able to order wings so early in the morning but decided to be that person and try something new while sharing a breakfast platter. Food was fresh, made to order and service was fast and friendly. Happy to know that they are open on the weekends so there’s more opportunities for me to swing on by to support a small local business“
