“Had a lovely experience with a fantastic barista. i wasn’t able to catch his name but he was a master roaster! came from taking his break right over to help us and was so pleasant and chatty. also watched him perform a huge act of kindness in making someone who was visibly upset a new drink without being asked. he was kind and so helpful! great experience because of him :)“

“Went in today to get a Lavendar matcha latte. Evan was very friendly and gave excellent customer service, so props to them. Genuinely friendly customer service should be recognized because it really makes a difference! Drink was served quickly and tasted great. Should be a regular menu item year-round.“

“I didn't catch his name but there was a wonderful man (long dark hair, fantabulous earrings) who plugged my phone in for me when it died and was stranded waiting for a bus. Great sense of humor and a joy to talk to, I wish I knew his name.
Otherwise, I used to work in the area and despite short breaks they always got my drink ready in great time, nice and cleanly, great environment as it's attached to Indigo.“

“I really enjoy coming to this Starbucks because some of the staff are very friendly and give me great service every time I see them.

Some of the staff do seem to love putting Light ice in your drink, though, even to the point of putting it on the cup when you didn't ask for it. Please, stop doing this. Light ice your own drink, not mine.“

“My sister and I went to Starbucks on a late Saturday night to try the new Christmas drinks. When we pulled up to the window, we were greeted by the most amazing employee. Lily was extremely outgoing and was so easy to talk to. She radiated welcomes and was so so sweet. Even though we showed up very close to closing time, she was so caring and made our night 100 times better. Lily you are amazing, we love you!“

“I have been to this Starbucks in perticular many times and the baristas never fail me! They are all so kind and sweet. I know working as a barista can be stressful but they always seem to have a smile on their faces! I have never had an issue with my order they are super fast at making your drinks most of the time I’m only waiting about 3 or 4 minutes. Overall the atmosphere is really nice and happy!“

“Excellent hotel. I love staying at the Lord Elgin when I go to Ottawa. The staff is friendly, the location is right downtown and the hotel has this old English vibe. I love it! I highly recommend the Lord Elgin hotel for anyone who is staying in Ottawa.“

“I have been going to this location for years. A recent remodelling has changed the layout, making it appear more open and bright. I always order my drinks through the app and they’re always waiting on the counter for me when I get there. No lineups. I don’t know why everybody doesn’t do this.“

“I haven't been to Starbucks in a while, she never this location. Service was good and prompt for my noontime visit.

One gripe, as I said, I haven't been to Starbucks in a while, if any cafe. So I got my drink and left for a walk. I got to the other end of the parking lot before the cup was just too hot to handle. I returned to get a cozy to keep my hands from burning.

Seems like something that all their hot beverages should get...

However...I a few weeks ago I was issued a parking ticket for using the PARKING LOT while making purchases at this store and others in the vicinity. Just a heads up to people you may just get a ticket for parking at Trainyards and there's no fighting it because it's private property at the end of the day. Starbucks: your property mgmt blows.“

“The staff at this location makes it one of the best Starbucks in the city. I've been coming here for a long time as I have lived/worked in the south end for many years. I've always found the staff extra friendly here and the present staff are definitely the best group they've had working here in a long time. One of my favourite baristas is Jason who is always welcoming, friendly, and takes the time to say hi, ask about your day, and just super down to earth and personable--and he always has a smile! If he's not already a manager, I'd be very surprised. From my restaurant industry experience, I know customer service can be challenging at times especially during busy/stressful times, and you end up with impatient or unhappy costumers. SO Kudos to Jason for his amazing service, no matter how busy this place gets.
I also really like Rana and Kristianna (hope I spelled their names correctly!!), as they are very kind and friendly, and chat with everyone. I love the atmosphere here too as they are a lot of regulars and it sometimes feels like a small community hub. All in all, one of the best Starbucks in Ottawa and absolutely amazing staff!!!“

“I tend to get the Pink drink here at Algonquin College, so far i've had some pretty good experiences but some can be interesting.
the staff are always just so kind to have a quick chat with while ordering and sometimes add little hearts or drawings next to your name

i've had some of my drinks have mistakes and the staff are so understanding and gave me the mistaken drink with no charge while making me my already paid drink.

the environment is very sensory friendly but sometimes it can get a tad bit loud since its in the main entrance building which cannot be fixed obviously.

Over all im extremely satisfied with the experience i've had on my first year of college and im looking forward to coming back again next year!

Kid-friendliness: dance shows are attended at the college so i tend to see lots of kids from the competitions getting drinks and food.

Wheelchair accessibility: its a very open space for anyone who needs accessibility“

“I stopped by with my husband and the staff were very friendly and quick, there were only two on staff at the time. We ordered a Shaken Espresso and Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato, the barista was quick and friendly and the drinks were perfect. A great stop on the way home.“

“The dude at the customer service desk or at cash 1 with glasses and brown hair needs to take a few courses on customer service skills. He responds extremely rudely with an awful tone. He obviously hates his job, but don't spread it on customers. He dumbs you down.

1. Paper Cup Lids:In Europe, Starbucks has implemented paper cup lids, which is a wonderful and eco-friendly alternative to plastic lids. I would love to see this practice extended to Starbucks Canada locations as well. This would greatly reduce plastic waste and align with the growing consumer demand for more sustainable options.

2. Plastic Tea Bags: I am also concerned about the use of tea bags made from plastic, which contribute to microplastic pollution. These particles are harmful to both the environment and human health. I kindly ask if Starbucks could consider switching to paper tea bags, similar to the ones used by Red Rose, which are both biodegradable and safer for the environment.

“Just popped in for a quick breakfast sandwich. Was greeted by every staff person. The client experience was quite lovely. I was served quickly, addressed by my name and given lots of smiles. I know Starbucks normally has great customer service but this was definitely next level and deserving of a review.“
