“The Ridges is a welcoming, well appointed, local pub. The appointments/games contain: two dart boards, a Foosball table, a pool table, and upwards of twelve big screens showing various sports events. While I've only had a very savoury and thouroughly enjoyable small greek salad with sliced chicken breast, I can feel the care that the kitchen put into their craft. Everyone I've met there has been incredibly friendly and accommodating. The Ridges Pub is a great neighborhood gathering spot!“

“I've been going here for many years.
The food is great. My server and her service were terrific! I order 2lbs wings and fries with a pint of their house brew. Awesome HOT, fresh cut daily fries and very meaty wings, not those skinny little things you sometimes get at other places. Well worth the visit. I know they are constantly working to keep a high standard of food quality and customer service, and I appreciate the owners effort for that.
This review is based on 10 years of patronage. I know Sabinas well.

Well worth the price.I'm not sure how much other reviewers have had to drink here, but the atmosphere falls more to dive bar than traditional family restaurant. The place is far from inviting and falls more to the dirty side with the smell of old beer and cigarettes in the air. Get some takeout, more than worth the 15 minutes hanging out as it's being made.

Parking: It's in a small Plaza with limited parking, so time of day is a factor.“

“The Gryphon Pub is a wonderful gem in Whitby! My friends have been suggesting this place so I came here for dinner with my husband recently and we absolutely loved it. The service here is incredible as our waitress was very attentive, friendly and quick. She made some great recommendations and took the time to answer any questions.

As for the food, we shared the bruschetta flatbread and it was very good! The veggies were fresh, I would highly recommend. For our entrée, I had the ribs and my husband had the new york steak. The portions were great and everything was so delicious! The steak was cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes were my favourite, so good! My husband really loved the ribs too. There was plenty to share and have leftovers. It was only $5 more to get a full rack compared to the half, such a great deal! They have such an extensive menu with something for everyone along with plenty drink options. My husband loved that they have local craft on tap and his beer came ice cold. There are many specials going on throughout the week, will definitely be back on a Friday night for their $18 steak dinner. This was some of the most quality food I have ever had at a pub, a solid 10/10!

You can tell this place is loved by locals! Great food, specials, drinks and atmosphere here. They had good music going and great vibes inside. The owner seemed very friendly and genuine. The staff are all so kind and helpful. You can tell a lot of care has been put into this place. We love supporting small business and lucky for us the Gryphon Pub has just become our new go to. I've been coming here for over 25yrs. Last night I brought my Mother & Son for Thanksgiving dinner, and I will say it was one of the only times I've ever had an issue. There was an error in the system and we got bypassed after ordering our food. When the error was detected Mike the head bartender explained the issue in detail, and the owner took the time to apologize to us while graciously offering us a gift.

This establishment is first class from the top all the way down to the staff. They regularly have customer appreciation events during Thanksgiving & Canada Day, etc to give back to the customer, and as I said the wings are bar none the best in Durham! I will be a loyal customer for life...

“We had a late family dinner last night, and it was amazing. Our server, Will, was outstanding and he made our night!! We played darts, our dinners were excellent, and we also were able to watch the hockey game. Great night, we will be back!!“

Food sèlection is a typical pub menu but with some interesting additions. We had the wings and tried the curry, which was prepared beautifully as the kitchen was open to our request that it be spiced to our tastes (Hot!!..lt was delicious). Will need to go back in the evening soon to check out the vibe.“

“Whenever I'm in Durham, I make the trip to Brooklin Pub - great service, great food, great atmosphere. Normally I drop in to watch a hockey game, but last night was date night, so we sat in a booth in the quieter area.

Tried the curry rolls this past visit - delicious, and the hot sauce they make is smoking hot, but tremendous. Love getting my Peroni on tap. Girlfriend enjoyed her cocktail, Heather, mixed something up for her, and it was a hit!
