“This is one of my top cafes in the GTA. I would like to gate keep it if I could but the place deserves the recognition. Beautiful nooks to read and catch up with friends. The place has character, with a it’s exposed brick and tons of books to choose from. I like to come here to do some light work. Amazing ambiance. Only downside is that during the winter it can get a bit cold.“

I had been searching all over the app late night but every place kept cancelling my order and I was honestly about to give up until I scrolled one last time to satisfy my late night dessert craving, and BB Café accepted my order right before closing!!

I visited Greek Market Cafe yesterday with my sisters to grab some gelato, and we were lucky enough to be helped by a wonderful employee named Sama. “The chicken cutlet is juicier than expected but kind of thin. Omurice and the egg were quite tasteful. For my personal preference, I would like the egg to be less cooked. Presentation wise I give it 5 stars. The only thing is there is not much ventilation in the restaurant. Felt like AC was down.“

“I had a great experience at Machi Machi! The drinks were absolutely delicious fresh, flavorful, and just the right sweetness. I ordered 5 drinks and I tried the Fresh Fruit Jasmine Green Tea, and it was one of the best I’ve had.

The staff was very kind and honest. She was working alone and let me know that it might take a little time, which I really appreciated. Even though I had to wait a bit, it was worth it for the quality and care she put into the drinks.

“At the st. Catharine’s location at the Pen Center. I’m here with my daughter. Had the wings and fries and the dessert Divide and conquer Belgian Waffle! The service is amazing but it’s a large place so we did approach the counter right away. It’s beautiful and clean. So many delicious things on the menu to choose! I highly recommend it!“

“Richmond Hill Deli - who knew what treasures lay within? While in the neighbourhood one Saturday morning, my curiosity was piqued by the outdoor pictures of culinary delights, outlined in red, declaring: "Healthy and Tasty", "Homemade with Love". Once inside, I was greeted with a panorama of products from Eastern Europe and Central Asia - including my favourites:

• Plov (Uzbek-style rice pilaf),
• Samsa (Uzbek samosas with beef/lamb filling),
• Khachapuri (Georgian cheese-filled "pizza"),
• Pelmeni (Russian meat dumplings of various fillings - I like the turkey and lamb pelmeni),
• Lülə Kebabs (minced meat kebabs from South Kavkaz),
• Kefir/Ryazhenka (similar to yougurts),
• various Mineral Waters,
... and the list goes on.

I had the good fortune to meet the owner, Alik, who welcomed me to his store as if to his own table. The staff at the hot food counter were warm and hospitable. To experience the world of Eastern European and Central Asian delicacies, this is the place to come to.

The only thing missing was my most favourite item of all - Chebureki (deep-fried turnovers of Crimean Tatar origin), ideally the lamb-filled variety, but the spinach/cheese ones are okay too. If Richmond Hill Deli could stock these, my joy would be complete.

As the can of Uzbek Plov said on its label: "Вкусно - нет слов" ("Tasty - no words".)
