“Had lunch today at this establishment. Ordered the lunch set with tempura. Very impressed with the quality of food & service received. Appetizers full of omami flavour; sashimi tasted very fresh and well prepared - favourite piece for me would be the Madai; sushi very well prepared - rice flavour well balanced, each pieces is paired with its unique sauce and spice. Hard to pick one as I loved all of them. I will 100% revisit this restaurant for maybe dinner next time. Absolutely delicious and great service. Chef is also very friendly!“

“I tried the pork loin with brown sauce and it was amazing — perfectly crispy on the outside and cooked just right on the inside. The portion is very big, definitely enough for two to share, which makes it even better value. The cheese blocks were super tasty, and they honestly have one of the best takoyaki I’ve ever had. On top of that, the staff are very nice and patient, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this place!“

“Kibo Sushi is a hidden gem! The quality of the fish is outstanding, and the menu has a great variety of creative rolls. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a date night or casual dinner. I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!“

I’ve had the gold menu before just to try and I would say that the black menu is better in most ways.“

“Awesome place. I haven't had celiac friendly sushi for a very long time. I am very sensitive and get really sick if I eat any gluten or even something cross-contaminated. Tomo Japanese Restaurant was a great experience in terms of food, service, atmosphere, and above all safety for me and my son. People with Celiac and NCGS, Tomo is a really nice place with safe gluten-free food, highly recommended. :)“

“The quality of the food at this restaurant is well beyond anything you would expect in the suburbs. The fish tastes fresh and the rice is high quality sushi rice. Generally you have to head to downtown to get sushi/sashimi that tastes this good.
The service is suburb, they actually make you feel like you matter and that you are at a friends house.
Finally, for the quality of the food the prices are more than reasonable.
I also like that I can get Soju at this restaurant as I prefer it with sushi to Sake.
I can recommend Akane without reservation.“

Fast takeout with easy ordering and a well written menu with good photographs of the item. The fish is the perfect temperature and the rice is flavorful. The presentation dining in is beautiful and the take out also looks good and sapporo sushi always provides a fair serving of soya, ginger, and wasabi.“

“Came here on a weekend and loved the vibe! There was a dj spinning some good music. Staff was very friendly our server Whitney helped accommodate one of our guests who had a bit of dietary restriction that was a bit difficult. They recommended the sashimi set, colossal ebi, Ryu sliders and mentaiko shrimp udon. Would definitely come back soon to try some of their rolls! ♥️“

“This was our first time at Takumi and we are pretty happy with this place. We order a platter and tempura appy. The restaurant didn’t look busy but there were a lot orders coming in for delivery or pick up. The platter took longer than we hoped but it is Friday night. We have been noticing that orders coming in take precedent over orders taken from customers dining in.
Overall, the fish was very fresh and the sashimi was cut generously. We enjoyed ourselves and will probably come back.“

“I came here with my brother because we wanted some sushi for dinner. We found this spot , and came over.

We ordered a lot of sushi, okonomiyaki, and some kaarage. For the sushi, we had Maguro Tuna, Hirame, Amaebi, Unagi, Hamachi, salmon, amd spicy salmon rolls. The sushi was a bit on the pricier end, but they were all very delicious!“
