“We took a chance on this place in that we'd never heard of it nor did we know it existed. Honestly, you'd miss seeing it off of Kingston Road if you weren't already looking for it. However, the food was great! We ordered several rolls and tempura pieces to go. It was all efficiently made (waited at most 15 minutes), well packed (the pieces and tempura kept for the drive home and were fresh), had enough soy sauce, and the price was good. It was very tasty and I would definitely order here again and recommend this place!
Note: Haven't dined in and there's only street parking up the street. There's limited seating and the general atmosphere isn't the most welcoming. However, the chefs are courteous and the food quality is great, so it's worth it for the price and quality.“

Not necessarily looking for the after 5pm special.Salmon is always buttery - they use fresh fish allll the time in my opinion & Spicy salmon roll is so flavourful.I have a better time with Mac Sushi over some of my typical sushi restaurants. I hate thick cuts of salmon so Mac Sushi knows that they are doing and knows how to cut a decent piece of fish for eating.The customer service is always great, I’m never rushed, the attendants are patient with me and so kind.I have my go to spots to get a nice snack at the STC and Mac sushi is one of them. The price is also decent for me. No complaint on pricing. Also always so clean!“

Each piece of sushi tasted fresh and consistently good, with nothing trying too hard. No heavy sauces to mask freshness, no aggressive vinegar and just well-balance. You can really taste the freshness and creaminess of each piece. I also loved that they serve two types of ginger, each doing its job to reset the palate properly.

The chef was generous with off-menu recommendations and took the time to explain where each piece was from and how regions differ. We tried puffer fish milt for the first time, and the way it was prepared and seasoned made it surprisingly enjoyable. It's rich, delicate, and comforting rather than intimidating. I guess Japanese marshmallow is a suiting name.

All things considered, this felt like a very affordable omakase experience for the level of freshness, friendliness, and space. Quietly excellent, thoughtfully done, and definitely a place I’d return to.“

“Kani Sushi is my go to sushi place. I've ordered from here over 50 times on Uber Eats and I've ordered a handful of times in person and they have never disappointed me when it comes to my orders. I always choose to come here because I've always gotten fresh tasting sushi and sashimi and I like supporting small businesses! This will continue to be my go to sushi place.
