“Went to Ciao last night for a birthday/Valentines Day dinner. They had a set menu for the night. Every single thing we ate was beyond delicious!! The plates were so pretty to look at and even better to taste. So much love went into each plate! The Gorgonzola gnocchi melted in your mouth. The meat (on the short ribs) fell right off the bone…don’t even get me started on the cheesecake and chocolate creme brûlée!!! 😍 Mia, our server went above and made the night so much better. “Charming. An old school Italian restaurant in a charming part of Grosse Pointe Park. A family friendly restaurant without being adult unfriendly ?. I went with a classic lasagna and it tasted like I was a “made man” in the Corleone family or something. Heaven! Atmosphere was classy without being stuffy. Midweek dinner and not much of a crowd so we were seated right away. I think my favorite part was tomato sauce that was used in the lasagna.“

“I’m going to call this a hidden gem because “The Hill” is kind of a sleepy business district if I’m being honest. Cafe Nini is also on the opposite side of the street from the majority of the restaurants The Hill has to offer.

Make no mistake, this cozy little Italian restaurant is one of the better restaurants on The Hill. The wife and I went for our regular date night and were definitely not let down.

I had the fruitti di mare and the wife had fettuccini alla carbonara. Both were excellent. Can’t wait to go back and try something different.

“Listen if you are ever in Windsor this is the place to be. As soon as we stepped in we felt welcomed with the greeting of our new favourite waiter Jeff. The ambience was perfect, lighting was just right not too dark, aesthetics was a flavored rustic elegance with a splash of class. The food… wow. We were given bread to start which was on the house. Started with the bruschetta for app, best bruschetta we’ve ever had. As for main, thanks to some locals, my wife and I got the featured special of the lamb chop, with orzo, green beans, roasted pepper and a side of shrimp 100/10. We had to try another dish, so we tried the tenderloin with gnocchi, roasted red pepper, arugula and crispy onion, wow another 100/10. I also ordered the old fashioned here, again the best old fashioned I’ve ever had here, made with Wisers… The service is what tipped the iceberg for us, making it arguably one of the best restaurants I’ve been too. Jeff made us feel Royal, and the owner Michael Anthony was in the back cooking, felt the passion and love he and his team had for culinary. This restaurant in my personal opinion deserves a Michelin rating. Thank you KOMA.“

“I picked up a medium pizza with wings. It was on discount. The price was perfect. The pizza was awesome cooked very well and good toppings on it. For the wings the young guys there recommended buffalo seasoning on the wings, it was the best choice loved it. The employees there are very kind, and respectful“
