“I visited Nooch for lunch with my family for brunch this afternoon. The service was excellent (Our waitress, Cass, gave recommendations and checked in with us regularly throughout the visit) and the food was really good. “I've always been a fan of Carrots n' Dates, especially when I'm on a health food kick. Recently, the owners have done an overhaul of the restaurant and I am LOVING the staff. They're always attentive, helpful, and seem eager to learn the business. The food is always fresh and delicious. By far one of my favourite lunch picks while I'm busy working on my school work. “10/10 for this home run of a restaurant. I generally don't eat breakfast in the morning but my stomach said otherwise today. I tried to ignore the hungry vibe I was getting but I failed. While driving I saw the sign and said why not. Let's give it a shot. I'm ecstatic that i did so. I had the "meat wrap" and let me tell you it was heaven in a tortilla for this breakfast carnivore. “The SE MI Brewery Discovery Tour continues. (I'm done counting, it takes too much effort)
The building used to be a church. I personally love that repurposing. (Once saw a church knocked down to put in a Walmart! ) The layout works great: big U-shaped bar surrounded by 4-seat high-top tables. The all-important stainless steel vessels taking the place of the pulpit & choir. 6 big screens are spread around for the sports oriented. There is a room of the back of the main one with big leather-clad easy chairs & an actual fireplace. So cozy.
The free parking is in the back but you have to enter from the Biergarten which is entered from the corner. So, if you or a compadre are using a wheelchair, get dropped off at the corner.
The beer list is pretty broad, 2 pages, the food menu is of decent size.
Got a Lip Lock Cherry stout followed by a Peach Blonde. The stout was less sweet than expected (based on nothing) but nicely balanced. The peach version of the Dirty Blonde was tasty and refreshing.
Ate an Atwater Brat in-between. The brat was OK. The pretzel bun was good, the toppings (cheese, jalapeños, bacon bits) were good, too. The brat itself was the weak spot, tasted too much like a big hotdog.“

“We live in the neighborhood and have enjoyed stopping in for dinner and beers semi-frequently. The menu was just updated and has some tasty new additions like the Detroit Brat with some updates to old favorites. The service we received from Laura and Zach was phenomenal. Highly recommend stopping in to catch a game, or after a night exploring the riverwalk.“

My wife and son shared the Chicken Piccata (who are we kidding, he ate the entire dish). The quality and flavor of the food was excellent as usual. Andrew, our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. The ambiance is that of a small, romantic Italian Bistro. I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough.“
