“Stopped in at the restaurant a few times as I was in town staying at the hotel, and overall had a good time! Food was great every time, loved the French dip and all the breakfast items.

The real downfall is it seems they are under staffed. Each time I went, their was either one or two servers, who got everything I needed and did fine, just took a lot longer than I was anticipating as the restaurant was near empty each time I went in. I understand it is slow season, but it just felt like they were missing half the time. Some nights it was on point, but overall I felt like they were overworked with not enough staff.

If you aren’t in a rush and want some good food at good prices, you should make a stop. Just be prepared to wait!“

“We decided to try The Old Winery Restaurant during our weekend getaway at Queen's Landing.

The restaurant had a great vibe. It was busy, bustling, and full of energy when we arrived. The decor is lovely and gives the place a warm, inviting feel. We were a group of six adults and were pleasantly surprised that we were able to make a last-minute reservation on a weekend and still get seated in the main dining area.

The menu had lots of appealing options, including wood-fired pizza (always a favorite of mine), and the portion sizes were generous. I ordered the Caesar salad and Calamari, which ended up being perfect for sharing with friends. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared.

Service was fantastic throughout the evening, and the drinks were solid. I had a Long Island. The highlight of the meal for me was the Belgian chocolate crème brûlée for dessert. It was absolutely divine and a perfect way to end the night.

Overall, it’s a great place to try if you’re staying in the area or enjoy checking out different restaurants. Prices were fairly reasonable for Niagara-on-the-Lake, but it’s probably more of a special-occasion or occasional stop for me rather than somewhere I’d visit regularly. Still, we had a wonderful evening with friends and I’m glad we experienced it. 🍷🍽️“

“I’ve been to a lot of Italian pizza restaurants in Ontario, and the pizza here is some of the best. It’s an unsuspecting small place, but Lorenzo knows what he is doing.
The dough is soft, airy in the crust and very digestible with a thin yet tasteful centre. It is top notch. I got the buffalina, and despite the simplicity it is amazing, and was wood fired extreme quickly, even for Neapolitan.
The dough is a 9.7/10 and same as the pizza. If you want an authentic, expertly made pizza from a talented chef, go here. The pizzas are beautiful yet simple.“

“Was at zappis on Saturday September 6th with my husband and son. My husband and I eat at zappi's every March and October as we run a marriage program and usually have 10 people at dinner and have never had an issue with food or service. Yesterday however service was great but when I received my calzone, it had red peppers in it which I didn't order. So the waitress took it back and had another one made for me and gave me 50% off. I did order another one for takeout and as I went to eat it today for dinner, It has green mushrooms in it, which I cannot eat as it affects my stomach. Order weekdays after 4.00pm and Sundays all day. That is the time when Jerry the main owner is overseeing the restaurant. The other minority owner Chris, has turned into a miserable piece of s*** that will not make your pizza with thick crust and has really started skimping on all toppings, thats if he even puts the right toppings you ordered. So in conclusion, try ordering during the hours I mentioned and you will be pleasantly surprised with your pizza tasting just as good as it did years ago. We stayed at comfort Inn and we read the review so we were kind of worried but we took a chance because my boyfriend‘s Italian and he thought it looked really good and he was right the food was amazing. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was also amazing. The waitress was very nice. We ordered Take out and she let us sit down and have water, and she showed us her food when it was finished and she gave us extra condiments and cutlery. We tried it out for a family of 25 for Thanksgiving and it worked out very well. I experienced the Black and Blue pasta. Simply delectable. Last night we returned for an early Valentine’s Day dinner. This time I could not resist the Steak Gorgonzola. So incredibly decadent, so delicious. My wife had the Penne Alfredo with Lobster and Crab. Also a beautifully presented dish that was delicious. The Caesar salad is definitely worth the upgrade too.
