“Unassuming pub tucked off of king street serving incredible food. The calamari and the onion dip with the homemade chips were my favourite but everything was delicious. Service was good and they have a dog friendly patio - will definitely be back!“

“Brunch at Ruby Soho was mostly fun and delicious but slightly slow.

Came here for a birthday brunch with a group of 14 girls and overall had a great experience! The food was beautifully plated and full of flavor, with a few standout dishes.

The Classic Breakfast was simple and delicious the raspberry jam that came with the toast was amazing. Only thing that lacked was the corn bread it was dense and dry.

Pork Belly Benny was rich and flavourful the pork belly was almost candy like sweet, crunch and fatty.

The only letdown was the Avocado Toast, It felt a bit bland and got lost under the sprouts.

A hidden gem from all the places in the area that serve basic chicken wings and deep fried offerings. The entrance is not desirable, but was told the entrance is being renovated.“

“Delightful find that is worthy of a visit. It is like a 70s diner with great food. I attended with a large group and everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. I had a mushroom and swiss cheese burger and it was fantastic. Burger was not greasy nor were the fries. Highly recommended this place.“

“Expensive evening, however, it did entertain the birthday girl for an hour and a half. She quite enjoyed it. The only disappointment was they announced all the happy birthdays to the people in attendance and because we didn’t upgrade for a ridiculous amount we didn’t get that happy birthday announcement. “Can here for dinner. Arrived earlier than original reservation which the restaurant accommodated. Requested the patio which on day was windowed-up with and open ceiling. Felt like being outdoor but not really. It helped as the evening got colder.
Came during happy hour, it was not clear what was covered under happy hour or not. Originally thinking the mini cocktail and finger food menu at the table were the happy hour menu, it was later clarified only the drinks were under happy hour till 6pm and no food is part of it.
We opted for a shared appy, main and dessert. Had the Popcorn Shrimp Tempura. Was more like fish and chips texture than tempura. It was very tasty though. I’m not a usual shrimp eater but this was very delicious even without the dip.
The other app was the Fried Chicken Lollipops. These I believe were drumstick legs rather than wing part. Fried nicely and also very good. Wish I could have had more but it was yummy. Came with 2 sauces: blue cheese and the other hot sauce which has the heat and not so strong flavor as the blue cheese.
Felt like having comfort food so decided to have the Roast Chicken. Nothing better than gravy and roast chicken. It was a plentiful portion. I usually do not eat potatoes but these little smashed potatoes were nicely textured and perfect along with the gravy. Came with some asparagus the chicken felt brined so it is a bit more flavorful.
Lastly, I wanted to check out the Peach Melba. I guess it is because of the season for peaches, I also was curious was Peach Melba was. Never had it. It was very refreshing. Slices of fresh peaches, nestled alongside with I think raspberry sorbet and then topped with just a right amount of whip cream, a coulis and sliced almonds. I really enjoyed it as an ender to the rich meal.
