“Helena’s one of the best affordable eats in the downtown area. Stuffed chicken breast was delicious. Potato pancake is a perfect side dish. Nice variety of vegetables. I’m looking forward to getting the shepherds pie next time. I highly recommend Helena’s!“

“Went to Death & Taxes for Happy Hour. The service was impeccable. It was a gloomy day but the bartender opened the patio for us and even set up the fireplace to enjoy. We ordered the pizzas and enjoyed super inexpensive drinks. What a deal! It’s also family run which made us very happy.“

“The Thai red curry was just amazing, reminds me of my trip to Chiang Mai. The seafood pasta with mussels was also great. All made in house. Rare find in area. Great craft beer. A hidden gem from all the places in the area that serve basic chicken wings and deep fried offerings. The entrance is not desirable, but was told the entrance is being renovated.“

“Delightful find that is worthy of a visit. It is like a 70s diner with great food. I attended with a large group and everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. I had a mushroom and swiss cheese burger and it was fantastic. Burger was not greasy nor were the fries. Highly recommended this place.“

“Had the waffles with fried chicken and maple sauce and home sauce. It was delicious!! The chicken was crispy on the outside yet tender inside and the waffles were fluffy with a slight sweet aftertaste. The owners were extremely polite and kind.“

“The food was phenomenal and the staff were very accomodating. Took my partner here for dinner, we shared the most delicious pork belly and equally delicious roasted brusselsprouts. The oysters were fresh and came with a great choice lf toppings. The trout was so good, the dill cream sauce paired very nicely with the fish. Will be coming back again and highly recommend!“
