“Delicious vegan Caribbean food in the heart of Kensington Market. Veggie D'light hits the spot for lunch on a weekend. I had their meal with jerk saitan, veggies and basmati/quinoa. I asked about the soup of the day and was promptly offered a taste by the friendly chef. Had the medium soup as well--a delicious rich soup with yams and coconut milk. Now I have a new favorite lunch spot.“

He brought everything from serving dishes and bowls to dishes and cutlery that we could use for our guests, and he takes them away, making the cleanup after the party super easy. Typical Jamaican restaurant menu with a few unique items and custom drinks. The food was average tasting and well presented. I was educated about the history and how the restaurant was established which was enjoyable. “This is a Yougart shop located in The Path, outside of the st. Andrew's station. They have amazing yogurts, and the women working there is lovely. My favorite is their maple pecan yogurt. A small one costs $7 (including tax). It is such a light and refreshing breakfast and surprisingly super filling. Usually, when I get a breakfast sandwich from Tims I always feel heavy and get hungry again around afternoon, but when I have the yogurts from here, I barely feel hungry for the rest of the day.“

“I recently tried Mistaan Catering and Sweets and ordered their samosa, pakora, and jalebi! The samosas and pakoras were perfectly crispy with a flavorful, well-spiced filling. They had just the right balance of crunch and softness, and you could tell they were freshly made. The jalebi was golden, syrupy, and had that satisfying crunch on the outside with a soft, sweet center. It’s easily some of the best I’ve had.

I am so glad I got to share this because it would have been next to impossible to finish this entire plate!
