“I’ve been searching for che spot in the city and found Vietbites on google maps, and it’s been forever since I’ve been wanting to come here.. i was hesitant cuz how off the track it is but I’m happy that I went out of my way tonight to try this spot! Their che is amazing! If you are fan of coconutty drink of dessert, mochi or bubble like texture, and have a soft spot for sweet beans in your desserts… this is the place to be! please try vietbites or che in general so that I can enjoy more che places in the city 😭😭“

“Had a late night dessert craving and decided to try **D Spot Dessert Cafe at St. Clair. Really glad we did! The waffles were fresh and loaded with toppings, and the milkshake was super rich and satisfying.
I liked the atmosphere too — lively but still comfortable to sit and chat. Service was quick even though the place was quite busy. I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu.“

“OMG!!! It took me a long time to get here (I live in Oak Ridges) but BOY was I glad I did! I’m Italian so my standards for cannoli are pretty high. To date, other than in Italy itself, these were BY FAR the best cannoli I’ve ever tasted. My daughter, who is as picky as they come, fell in love with the lemon flavor with the chocolate lined shell. My wife, who is Taiwanese and who isn’t really a fan of cannoli, thoroughly enjoyed the pistachio, lemon and gingerbread flavors. Yes, she ate more than me. Lol. I would recommend Holy Cannoli to anyone, Italian or otherwise. If you have a discerning palette and are willing to try something new, or if you think you’ve had very good cannoli before, TAKE THE DRIVE! You won’t be disappointed.“

“Snowday Bingsu really hits on a hot summer day!

We got the strawberry bingsu and the injeolmi flavour both were super good and honestly tasted like ice cream, with just the right amount of sweetness and toppings. Definitely recommend adding mochi for that extra chewy texture.

The space is pretty small with limited seating, and it did get very warm inside (didn’t feel like there was AC). It also gets busy in the summer time so grabbing it to go is probably the option. Still, great spot for a refreshing dessert. Would come back!!“

“I went there for a coffee date on Sunday and the place was beautiful with this absolutely amazing waitress Tiana! She was just wonderful. I order a pistachio latte with a salmon sandwich. I asked Tiana to warm up the sandwich and she let me know she was unable to, all sandwiches are cold.

I find that completely unacceptable because the bread was as hard as a ROCK! SMH I was quite disappointed. So DO NOT EAT any sandwiches from there.“

“One of my fav dessert spots. Crunchy puffs on the outside and super soft on the inside. A huge variety of flavour toppings and the soft serve is to die for! They also always have specials going on and coupons that go around which we can all appreciate :)“

“Visiting from the US, definitely a visit!“

“Sugar Marmalade is nice place to visit to grab some food or dessert, but service is poor. I went in earlier this week and instantly noticed how crowded and claustrophobic it was. They tried to fit as many tables and chairs as they can in there for seating sake, but it made it very squished and uncomfortable.

After being seated, I realized that they don’t provide you with physical copies of menus here. Instead, you have to scan a QR code in order to order online. Now, my phone didn’t allow me to scan QR codes for a while due to a glitch in the settings, so I couldn’t scan this and see the menu for myself. Luckily I went with my cousin so she did it for the both of us, but if she wasn’t there I would have been stuck. Call me old fashioned but I also just prefer physical menus where I can see all the items at once instead of scrolling forever to get through the whole menu.

I also think the restaurant was too dimly lit for my preference, as the entire restaurant is already painted black, having low lighting on top of that left for very poor visibility. I saw the girls at the table next to our using flashlights when it came time to pay so they could see into their purses.

The food itself was nice. I thoroughly enjoyed the mango pancake with sundae supreme. It was fresh, light and airy - the perfect Asian style dessert. However the deep fried popcorn chicken my cousin got was wayyy too salty. Like it was so. much. salt. Any Asian aunty would have hated it, so be mindful of that if you plan on ordering the dish.

All in all, good deserts and nice place. Maybe try going to a bigger location like the one in Markham as I found that one to be nicer. Worth a visit, but not sure if it’d be the first thing I’d recommend to others or revisit myself.“

“Group of 4 ordered two items - chamango and the mango crepe pockets! The quantity was great and sufficient for 4 people. The mango pockets were so soft, light and filled with the inner filling which was delicious. The chamango had great seasoning and the tamarind mix popsicle was great too. Loved it so much that my friends got me a birthday cake out of the mango pockets and it was gone in minutes. Highly recommended! ☺️“

“Well once again I felt I was in Japan. It’s clear that this is one brand that takes its bakes seriously. In fact they claim they have a unique recipe that it's hard to replicate, the trick is in achieving the airiness of the dough and then filling the buns with a light custard cream at the right time. The result is a fantastic combination. There are five flavours to choose from: Matcha, Chocolate, Custard, Azuki and Cream. The consistency in the soft buns is clearly evident, and the ratio of bun to cream is exactly what it should be. I don’t think you could go wrong with any of the flavours so just get a box of all five like I did.“

“I love the foods but unfortunately the service is so bad! They should hire more employee as the customer is always full. I come there pretty often and always find only one waiter working. I can always see her exhausted and unhappy face which is very annoying; long waiting for my order. I don't blame her because I understand how hard the job for her. For the owner, come on! Don't be so greedy! You already have good business but I am pretty sure it will become even greater with a better service.“
