“As per a recommendation by a friend, I opted to try them out for my daughter’s 1st birthday. We got an ube fringe cake which was so beautifully decorated but also absolutely delicious. “It's a hit. They're not f in around. Hand rolled puff pastry is the signature, buttery, light and crispy. I had the sausage roll and the chicken pot pie. Both were great. Seasoning on the sausage was flawless with just the right balance of savoury spices without being over powering. Chicken pie was creamy and hearty, if I would critique I'd say they could add more filling volume and salt, but both were satisfying and delicious. Service was lovely, friendly and helpful. They could use a small counter or high top and bar stools though.“

“We ordered a last minute cake from them. It was done so well. So clean its a piece of art. We tried vanilla. We loved the texture of the sponge. It was not too dense not too airy. Just right. And the butter cream was just amazing. For a 4” cake its also prices really well. While i was there i tried the hibiscus elderflower berry lemonade which was pretty refreshing.“

“Super fluffy and soft, made very fresh and if you buy 6 there is no tax :) got the savoury pizza buns, Japanese curry buns, spicy chicken bun and hot dog bun. Loved it! We intended on saving a few of them but may or may not have eaten the majority of our buns in one sitting because of how delicious they were 😂“

“I love this place, I come often to get some work done while enjoying their delicious pastries. They sell out fast, get there before 11 am!
The donuts, croissants, and focaccia are great.
I tried different coffee options, latte, cappuccino and affogato, all were good.
I would recommend the jasmine tea, if you are a tea fan, it is refreshing and light.“

“All the cakes looked astonishing and attempting. While I was purchasing, the service was super. They were patiently waiting for me to order and nicely providing me with suggestions and services. The taste of the cake was also amazing. Trying Fraisier and La Paix while I’m writing this review, Fraisier (the fruit one) has a strong taste and the fruits are fresh and juicy, La Paix (the lemon one) has multiple layers of texture and the lemon pieces on the top tastes spiral and I loved it.“

“This place is a sure gem! Everything from the top notch service to the clean and neat environment, to the exquisite desserts. We were so impressed. I had the 'Fruitmania' and it was very good. It was the first time trying ashta and the more I ate it, the more I fell in love with it. It was perfectly paired with the strawberry and mango juice. The right amount of sweetness! Ali, the owner, was so kind and attentive. We most definitely will be back! Can't wait for summer to enjoy the wonderful options for cold desserts and beverages. Thank you!“

“Absolutely beautiful and delicious pastries! The staff were so kind and helpful, especially when deciding what to get. We got the almond croissant, the raspberry pistachio pastry, and the ham & brie croissant sandwich. All were absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend this place if you are in the area or visiting Toronto. Not the cheapest but for a special treat, definitely worth it!“

“French bakery with excellent baked goods and sourdough bread. The croissant and sourdough baguette were both excellent. They have plenty of treats that are very well balanced, not overly sweet. They also have some savoury options like quiche (which was great). They make an ingenious mini birthday cake that might serve 1-2 which we have bought for friends, and they have larger cakes and take orders. Would recommend stopping in. Check their hours though they aren’t open all days of the week. I didn’t find the seating area very welcoming or comfortable. More of a pick up spot. Very glad to have it in the neighbourhood.“

“I’ve been here twice and tried the coffee along with several croissants (hazelnut, plain, and almond). The croissants and coffee were delicious and of good quality. However, during my second visit, the cashier was a bit rude. She didn’t ask whether our order was for takeout or dine-in, and when I mentioned it was for dine-in, she seemed upset and told me I should have mentioned it earlier. Overall, it’s worth a visit, especially for the cozy and warm outdoor patio, but I don’t think I’ll be returning.“

“Nadege has been my go to place for macarons. I usually stick with the classic flavours. However, the manager at Nadege offered me a complimentary whiskey chocolate macaron at the end of the evening. She said it was cracked and they couldn't sell it but it looked perfect to me. The whiskey wasn't overwhelming but you could definitely taste it, perfectly complementing the chocolate centre.“

“I finally had the chance to visit Bomou with my fam and it was a lovely experience from start to finish! We had the lemon meringue tart, bostock (brioche with almonds and flavoured with orange), apple caramel cookies, butter croissant, a piece of pie, a baguette, and an earl grey canele. To drink we had the coffee, an oat milk cappuccino, and the lavender lemonade! We also bought some of the loose leaf mint tea as a gift. Everyone adored what they ordered! All of the pastries were beautiful to the eye and wonderful on the palate! Flavours such as the orange in the bostock, the lemon in the tart and even the earl grey in the canele were fragrant and gentle, never overpowering or overwhelming! Beautiful texture to all the foods and even the drinks were impressive and expertly crafted! Their coffee is some of the very very best I have had in Canada. (Rich and velvety, non-astringent and not-sharp.) If you want a proper cup of coffee you’ll find it here!!! Their lavender lemonade is gorgeous! I love lavender and found this to be a delicate and refreshing combination and recommend you definitely try it out!!! (Plus the bottle is lovely!) We all were impressed with the helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff and were amazed by the talent and creativity of their baker/chef! Thank you Boumou for a delicious experience!!!!!“

“Butter Baker is a great spot for desserts or snacks. We ordered the ice cream and a waffle. The order was prepared very quickly so we did not have to wait for a long time. There was also free water that is self served. As well, the server did not really check up on us, but overall the service was alright. The design of the cafe is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing.“

“There is 'big A' ACCESSIBILITY, wherein establishments make themselves a welcoming environment to those with disabilities and special needs; then there is 'little a' accessibility, where they will manage, tolerate, and make you feel uncomfortable at best. I'd like to give Future Bakery at the corner of Brunswick and Bloor a solid 5/5 little a's for their (lack) of AODA aware service today. I don't think members of your community who have lived here for decades deserve to leave your establishment crying because of the lack of knowledge or compassion from your staff and service. Step up and perhaps (re)train everyone re: AODA guidelines? I will no longer be returning. LEVEL UP Future Bakery , thanks for adding insult to injury: your takeout cups are faulty, and mine fell out from the bottom including pouring my hot coffee all over me.“

“I got Empanadas and churros. AMAZING!!!! The chorizo empanada was one of the best I got 3 and probably can have some more. Churro dulce del leche was a perfect combination.The only thing was the countumer service very slowwww. I went to the Harbourfront location.“

“I ordered a birthday cake here the first time. I expected the writings will be placed on top of the retangular cake. There are lots of empty spaces... why they put the writing on a very tiny piece of chocolate and put it at the side of the bottom. It was hardly to see what was in the writing. For what occasion and for who! Quite disappointed! And they charged me a price of $17 more according to their listed price of $65 for a 8"x12" cake. Plus an extra of $20 for the pair of baby shoes (a plastic toy) for decoration. I also tried their bread, also find the textures are hard to chew... I wont return again.“

“The Viking slice is actually so delicious, it is worth a visit for that item alone. The chocolate combines really well with the almond paste and it's a nice light breakfast.

The staff are awesome and processes everyone really quickly through the course of the day. The line-up is never daunting because you know they work efficiently and collaboratively.“

Not the best pastries i’ve had, but you would normally pay much more for the same quality. Staff not overly friendly.“
