“Arguably the best steak I've ever had in my life. And I’ve been to several upscale steakhouses where the bill was bigger than my bi-weekly paycheque for a party of 4 (fortunately, I didn’t have to foot the bill).

Ruth's is a bit pricier than The Keg, but the quality of the steak justifies the cost.

It was incredibly tender, perfectly seasoned and mouthwatering.

“We ordered the Falafel Plate and the Chicken Shawarma wrap, and both were delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The falafel was crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the shawarma wrap was packed with tender chicken and tasty toppings.

What really stood out was the customer service. The staff was so warm, attentive, and welcoming—we think it may have been the owner himself, which made the experience feel even more personal. He made sure everything was to our liking and really went above and beyond.

“Wonderful place on a Saturday afternoon, sunny or cloudy. They are great staff. It can be slow because there is one employee on. BUT that is ok with me as I want to relax. Having more than one server is not justified. I hope people understand this when going in there. 😎“

“We came on Wednesday around 1 pm. It was not too busy and surprisingly in most restaurants the less customers the worse the service gets so we were really delighted when we had food and service which was 10 out of 10. Our server was Zoran and he gave us maximum level attention and care. Our food, I ordered wings and fries and my friend ordered chicken sandwich and fries, was hot and delicious. Our desserts were delightful. Thank you very much, Zoran for your excellent service and thanks to the chefs for the great Swiss Chalet food. “Over the years I have been to some pretty shady places that had questionable customer service..: but that was kind of to be expected considering the typical clientele at said spots. I arrived here at 5:50pm.., a single person looking to experience a new to me restaurant. Introducing the pickle barrel.. price point was crazy good. Reservations easy to make. One person for 5:45 pm. Took a minute to find the space, once in waitress was attentive, I ordered an appy and a half priced bottle of wine. Keep in mind it was just me and when I arrived there was no one here in a HUGE space. I also ordered the holiday 3 course dinner... an appy of butternut squash soup, a main of apple chicken and for desert apple blossom. Again, it's just ME!!! They bring out the calamari AND the soup...no big deal. Calamari sucked ballz, timid temp and rubbery as hell..:whatever, calamari is an art that not everyone can master. They also brought the soup at the same time. No big deal, it's just me, no one else here so I have time right?! 🤷🏽‍♀️ Nope, half way through the Calamari they bring my Main... ask them to keep it under the lamp, no problem... 5 minutes later the main arrives... still not done the calamari.... Or the soup Finish the appies and ask them for a container so I can re heat my food when I get home since it's cold/ Great, no prob Keep in mind I got here at 5:50pm it is now 7:51 No desert and no waitress to even ask for it During this terrible dinner service a table of 6 arrived and a table of 3. I know full well a table of 6 scores more dollars than a table for 1 but now I will never come back... so was it worth it? Not for me 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ A complete waste of time! Note: I ended up having to go speak to the hostess to let her know my concerns, get my desert and my bill. It was at this point that the original waitress asked me if I needed anything... I told her someone else was getting my bill. *hostess offered a discount ,wasn't necessary but appreciated.“

“Have loved Swiss chalet for over 40 years. This location is our favourite because of our wonderfully attentive server Andeshah. She greets us nicely and always gets our order correct. She even knows what we want before we order!!
Highly recommend this location. It’s clean and the staff are wonderful and so is the food.“

Ive been going here for years and i use to go a lot more often because they gave a big amount of portions. Ever since they changed their containers to the one from my photo, they dont give a lot. Food is still delicious, i dont think their price per portion equates and so thats why im giving them 4 stars instead of 5.“

“We just had our wedding at Granite in September and the day went perfectly. The accommodating and relaxed environment of Granite and the staff just makes for a cozy and intimate environment. The perfect vibe for our wedding! We had 70 people in total and it was perfect. The fact that you can have a quiet garden ceremony, followed by a covered patio cocktail hour, followed by a dinner reception in the back dining room is so ideal. We did a buffet style reception and the food was a big hit, guests are still complimenting it weeks later. Drink service was super attentive. Shout out to Trish who was a familiar and happy face throughout the day. There was nowhere else in Toronto that we could have had this versatility in venue, quality of service, and a central Toronto location for the price. Super reasonable and Sam the GM consistently entertained all of my questions fast and professionally. Their FAQ online is also so helpful and transparent. Thank you Granite team!!!“
