“Midori is always one of my favourite place to go for savoury ramen. I had the Hitori combo that you can pick one of the signature ramen which comes with chicken gyoza and a pop. I picked the black garlic ramen for the combo. If you are not a garlic fanatic, I will suggest pick other choices. The soup is very rich and velvety. The cha siu is a bit thin though but the chicken is nice and tender. I always like their soup as there’s no msg. The chicken gyoza is crispy and juicy. I will try the Truffle ramen next time.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Issai, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who loves ramen, udon, and rice dishes! From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home.
The service was exceptionally friendly.“

“Great place to grab a meal that’s definitely well worth the asking price. Food is always delicious and their options are great for everyone. If you’re not a fan of ramen, there’s also other options that are great as well. Would recommend to everyone, staff are very helpful and the interior is nice and clean.“

“The food was amazing. Everything was fresh. The meat melted in my mouth like butter. The restaurant is a bit small and it can get busy so you might not get a table. The portions are small as well. So you might have to order seconds which is completely worth it since the taste is going to be amazing anyways.“

“Food is okay but service is excellent!
We ordered Ramen, gyoza, and Black Sesame cake.
I really like their Gyoza! ?
It’s flavourful and a little crunchy on the outside.
The broth of Ramen bowl is just okay. Nothing special. Was skeptical to try the Black sesame cake , thought it will have a weird taste but turns out it’s actually smooth, creamy and not too sweet!!
Lots of parking but can get busy during dinner time!!!“

“We got the Hokkaido ramen, it is a nice milky broth and it was nice they gave us a full egg. There is ample parking but this is a small place we waited maybe under half an hour.
The decoration is nice, place is clean and well lit.“

“Delicious Food, Excellent Service, and Cozy Atmosphere
My partner and I had a fantastic dining experience at Ajisen Ramen. He ordered the black garlic steak, and I had the pork katsu ramen—both dishes were absolutely delicious. We were seated and served immediately, with attentive and friendly service throughout. Despite being a small dining spot, the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, making the experience even better. The food was flavorful, and we can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu. Highly recommend for anyone craving great ramen and a welcoming, relaxed environment!“

“The best ramen that I've ever had, specifically the tonkatsu black (that roasted garlic oil is like God's tears). Very flavourful, excellent noodles and less than $20 gets you full!“

“Really amazing Ramen at Sensotei. We tried the Tantan and Tonkotsu Black; both the broths were unique, packed with flavour and absolutely comforting. Will continue going there. I dropped a point only because the gypza was a bit cold. The staff was extremely helpful and they have free meals for kids, and high chairs. Great place for families. Must try for Ramen lovers.
Kid-friendliness: They have free meals for kids and plenty of high chairs.“

“First time back to this Ramen restaurant (today Dec 22, 2024) after a few years haven't been there and their Ramen is still one of my favorites north of Toronto. We were there for lunch and they have the special deal for $11/$12 (can't remember exactly) and the regular bow is around $15 which is really a good value for a large bow comparing to other Ramen restaurants. Overall the ramen is very good and served with several topping such as corn, bamboo, egg, and the meat choice. You can't beat the good food, big portion, and all at a great price especially now with no tax.“

“The ramen was really tasty! The noodle texture was great and the soup was flavourful. The soups are customizable and there’s also vegan options. All the side dishes we ordered were great and the sweet potato fries were our favourite. Service was great! Would definitely come back.“

“Tried the T1 Tonkatsu Pork original, so that I can compare their basic ramen against the ramen of other restaurant chains. Impressed with the presentation of 3 medallions of pork, which seem to be also grilled for added dimensions of flavor, not just boiled or baked. The broth had plenty of nuanced, well-balanced flavors; and not salty, which I prefer. The soft-boiled egg had the right softness & consistency. Compares very favorably to ramen served in restaurants in Tokyo & Yokohama.
My partner had the beef fried rice - also well done - tender pieces of beef, rice well cooked & fried, with plenty of vegetable pieces.
Background music featured instrumental pieces from Spirited Away - very conducive for a delicious lunch.“

“We went on a Friday night and it was packed. It is better to make reservations.
We ordered the following:
1. Tonkotsu (very good!)
2. Shoyu (very good!)
3. Zangi (fried chicken) - not a fan of the seasoning. Tasted a bit bigger and very salty.
Quick service and clean. Would definitely return.“

“I recently visited North Japanese Noodle Bar in Markham, and it was an incredible experience! The ramen was delicious with perfectly cooked noodles. We also tried the fried chicken, and it was crispy outside , juicy inside, and seasoned to perfection. The service was warm and friendly. If you're looking for a cozy spot with amazing ramen and tasty fried chicken, this place is for you.“

“Really really good ramen! Definitely on my list of great ramen spots in the city. You can choose the broth for any of the ramen types. I had the kaarage chicken ramen with the tom yum base. The broth was rich and delicious. Will be back for another in the near future!“

“This ramen shop is in a highly competitive area! I know what I am getting whenever to go to Kinton Ramen. So this place more than satisfied my tastebuds. I sortta would have told them to hold off the dressing on my dumplings. But other than that all is good in Ramen world.“

“One of the best katsu available in the city, delicious authentic Japanese cuisine in the middle of a food court. Curry Katsu was amazing and probably the best tasting tonkatsu I’ve ever had outside of Japan. Service was quick and efficient with a beeping machine to let you sit down and wait for your food to be ready. I have no reason to come to this mall, but I will now for this spot! 10/10!!“

“Food is good and consistent.
Service is a bit slow.
Biggest issue is portion size. Paying for extra noodles is literally 1 bite... I'm not exaggerating. If you get 2 extra orders of noodles, it brings the bowl of noodles to over $20.... and still not full.
You need to seriously consider fixing this if you want to attract more customers and have more regulars.
I remember watching an interview with the owner of izakaya ju years ago and he said "I keep my prices low so customers can come everyday and won't feel like it's a special occasion"
If you're paying 25 bucks for a bowl of ramen... feels like a luxury compared to other options.
I'm good if you want to charge more... but make sure you actually feed me.“
