They have a large selection of fresh baked breads and desserts. It is also a great place for your deli needs. “Honestly The best bagels I have ever eaten. Always fresh, so flavourful and because I can’t eat more then 2 in one sitting….. great to freeze! We rarely ever order Italian food bc it's just never the same as my nonna's or my father's cooking, but this was absolutely spot on. Fantastic flavors, quality ingredients, and just very authentic. We ordered the Pasta a la Norma (eggplant cooked to perfection, fresh basil, quality ricotta, and finally a sauce with the right amount of garlic i.e. a lot), and pepperoni pizza (that dough doe). What's the most ridiculous is that we've lived a 5 minute walk away for two years now and it never occured for us to get food here. That was stupid, and we will definitely be back. “We discovered The Hearty Hooligan after our daughter was diagnosed with an dairy allergy. We now eat here once a week! The food is always consistent regardless of the day of the week or how busy they are. Our favourites are the pickle fries and pizza rolls, we’ve also enjoyed the Mac and Cheese Bake, Moe’s fries, Mac and Cheese burrito, Crunch wraps.. all delicious! We usually add on a dessert to our order which is almost always a punkaroo cookie! The cupcakes and cookies are always good too. “I’ve come here a couple of times to study and I’ve found the atmosphere very relaxing. It also helps to see other people working! The food and beverages are good and I especially appreciate the “stay and study”( I think that’s what it’s called!) option which gives you two drip coffees and toast for $7. The staff if generally friendly and helpful. The music is great, the book shelf adds to the ambiance and on sunny days, the entire place is beautifully lit up! The only thing I’d want to caution against is that the seating is limited and usually the place seems fairly packed (which also says a lot about how popular it is!).“

Being we were down for a visit my mil took me in for 2 dozen natas Later on that day My hubby & I went back in for lunch. Bifanas were probably the best we ever had and I had rice pudding as dessert. Best rice pudding to mankind. Love this place and felt like walking into a cafe/bakery in Portugal. Absolutely fell in love with this treasure.“

It seems to be the only place in Hamilton that does not understand the basic concept of holding tables/reservations/taking a name down to ring them back.I was told that if I need a table either I wait 20 mins right there, or go away for 10 mins and come back and then go away again if there’s no table. But nobody could guarantee me that since I came first could come back in 20 for said table and probably do something productive in the meantime. Found the product in their freezer - defrosted at home and much to our disappointment, the biscotti was still rock hard. Could not bite into it unless you would prefer chipped or broken teeth. Tried microwaving it, which left a burnt taste, therefore, ultimately tossing it.Owner's response? To assess remaining biscotti when they dropped off more products to Bake Healthii. No follow-up. No replacement. Such poor customer service.Will no longer be supporting this business, which is a shame considering other desserts I purchased were enjoyable.“

“My friend picked up several desserts here on March 28th 2023. She said the store was beautiful and the woman who greeted her was very kind. The other staff were friendly and smiled. She felt welcome and is also of Greek heritage so it was great to try some very high quality Greek desserts and have a nice experience. I cannot wait to visit iOs Agora myself! What we tried: baklava, baklava cheesecake, custard filled phyllo, and some spiralled type of baklava (sorry, the proper names escape me). “Came here for the first time and was felt welcome there by a scotish woman who asked whst part of england i was from. ops Big mistake asking a Welshman.. She was very helpfull to me Thsnk you for that. i only went in for Black pudding and Christmas Cake and came out with lot more stuff.
