“My husband and I drove 5 hours here to Astoria, Buoy was primarily the reason why we visited to have food, beer & to see some sea lions. It was on the top of our list of things to do. Well to our huge surprise the location is not what was advertised anywhere I saw online. The location described online has been shut down for years due to a collapsed roof according to the person who was working there that day. There wasn't a kitchen, so no food either. However their beer was very good. I understand things happen but please someone update Buoys info online, so misleading & so disappointing.“

“So good. Large portion size. Obviously a talented chef. Served all of us (carnivore, herbivore, omnivore). Incredibly delicious and served with kindness! Outside seating. I’m saving the phone number so I can call ahead and order for pick up. This one is going straight to power rotation.“

“We easily made a reservation for family upstairs and seated promptly. Fantastic service and helpful and courteous to changes in offerings that we requested. Our server was great! All staff friendly. Fun place, great views, super beer and drinks and amazing Pizza and salads.“

“My partner & I spent 5 nights in Astoria. Loved the town & its atmosphere. Kind of like a miniature S.F. We had delicious pizza at Xanadu & then enjoyed generous drinks at the bar. Very inviting &?welcoming neighborhood bar. Please spread the word to anyone traveling through the PNW to stop in & support this rare gem. Astoria is now on our short list of possible places to move from So. California.“

“Located on the water within easy walking distance of all the shops. We were allowed two samples each, which was enough for me to be able to choose! Fancy flavors like sweet basil are wasted on me, but a more refined pallet may love. My companion got a krumkake cone and noted it was made in house (the regular waffle cones are not?) and sweeter than a plain waffle cone.“

“My family's first trip to Astoria for a wedding at Pier 39 and we decided to stop by Silver Salmon for dinner. We definitely had a few adult beverages and had a great evening and even better food! Our waiter, Patrick was so wonderful and attentive and even when I left my wallet there he and the manager kept it safe for me till the next day!! 10/10 recommend for quality food and staff!“

“We have been to this place 3 times now, we are from Idaho. everytime we go here it's great!! we got the boat and sashimi platter, but got alot more than expected for our dollar. it was amazing. we went in on 8/21/25. when they opened at 4pm. the Mexican waiter was great. and on top of things! I hope he gets recognition for this. but this place is great and highly recommend for travelers who want a great meal!!“
