“Heard about this special spot in Astoria to get fish and chips out of a boat years ago on OPB and finally made it there to try them and boy, did I ever find my favorite fish and chips in Oregon. I don't think I've ever had tuna in fish and chips, and I'm not sure why no one else is doing it. So good, I can't wait to come back!“
“Was a little confusing to get to you but overall was worth it. Quaint little hole in the wall that serves up amazing pastries and good drinks. The latte was a little strong on the espresso side but that’s totally preference. Located Inside a little building on a small pier, it’s a bit confusing to get to if you aren’t familiar with the area. It overlooks the water and it’s overall just a very cute and eclectic little spot that’s worth a visit!Definitely recommend the strawberry pie bar and the mixed berry smoothie!“
“My cousin got me hooked on this place. I don’t like waffles but the berries and cream waffle is hands down the best thing I’ve ever tried. If this place were open all day I would eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The waffles are crunchy and soft at the same time, with the toppings it just wraps everything together. The sauce is not overly sweet and sugary which is amazing. The price range is also really good and I feel like it fills me up and I don’t feel hungry for a good while after. My little brother and I tell our parents we go on ”a walk” just so we can go eat them ?“
“The place for wine in Astoria. Great atmosphere, people and of course the wine! Lisa knows her wine and is very personable, not the wine snob a lot of wine establishments have. Be merry! Drink (responsibly of course) and enjoy one of Astoria’s finest.“
“The employee who served us was very friendly and quick. The frozen custard we got was delicious and a good amount for the price. The hot food was mid grade, it wasn't anything amazing but if my kids are hungry for a quick bite while we are in Astoria we will eat here again. I'd give the frozen treats 5/5 and the food a 3.5/5. The location is a fun little outdoor stop when it's not pouring rain ☔?Parking: They have a free one way parking lot that can be hard to get in and out of but there is also plenty of street parking around the corner on busy days.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid friendly options!“
“Vicky is knocking it out of the park with this venue. Fabulous wine offerings, lovely cheese and charcuterie boards as well as local beer and non-alcoholic offerings. Oh, I didn't mention the delightful staff - AMAZING! Very warm (with fireplace) and welcoming! Love, love, love this place! We will be back soon and likely at least once a week! Thank you Vicky, Chloe and Katie!!!! Denise and Scot“
“If you like beer stop nowhere but here! 42 LOCAL flavors on tap at your discretion. I come here every time I visit Astoria. They will let you sample before you commit to anything. Once you pick your poison, they make it up right in front of you! So cool!“
“One of the best kept secrets on the Oregon Coast. This is a little hole in the wall on a busy street in Astoria with a changing seasonal menu and some of the best vibes in town. There's always something new and interesting coming to the menu, including chef-foraged ingredients and private dining experiences where the chef curates a special menu just for you. Kenzo, the owner-chef, is a wonderful human being, fun to talk to & just a genuinely kind guy. Stay and chat with him - he's a wealth of knowledge of the local area. He's leaning into more vegetarian/vegan and gluten free options, which is great, but he also has plenty of meat and glutenous options for you.If you're coming to Astoria, check the Busu Instagram to find out whether he's open & what's on the menu. You won't regret it.“
“Food was amazing. Honestly really hit the spot and while we had to refrain from ordering while hungry and having the whole menu this was honestly the perfect amount. I had a black currant cider with my meal and it was a great match for the food.My only gripe and why the atmosphere doesn’t get 5 stars is the seating is so scattered. And since we were looking for a place to sit we ended up having to be outside. Thankfully it wasn’t raining but yeah it would have probably made it better if the options for being outside wasn’t only big tables or tables with stools so high you can’t properly eat your food.“
“Beautiful atmosphere. We didn’t realize it was on the water until we got sat. Great food, too. We ordered the bistro burger and fish & chips. Burger was our favorite and a must for any burger lover. The staff was also super kind and when there was a hiccup with our order, they promptly fixed it.“
“The food and service were great! Oddly enough, the beers on tap weren't very cold. We're big Rogue fans and didn't even know this one existed, until we're drove by. The one across the bridge in Newport is still my fave, but we had a good time here.“
“Man, the view from the dining area in this restaurant is absolutely stunning! It's like you're on a boat with the rest of the ships on the water. Service was great at the bar where we sat and folks who brought out our food from the kitchen, both the guy and the lady were so easy to talk to and very hospitable, even at closing time. Bartender was a cutie, and made me a really good peppermint hot chocolate drink because I was freezing and soaked from the rain. Thanks for a great meal, and great company, I appreciated your time.Vegetarian options: The side salad was very fresh, and had extras like red bell pepper, cheese, and croutons, cherry tomatoes. It would be a great veg meal option.Parking: We parked on commercial street and walked to dinner from several blocks away. You can most always find street parking a block or less from your destination in Astoria. Unless it's a super busy summer event weekend scheduled in town“
“Updated to add that the owner really went out of her way to make it right. We will give it another try next time we're in town.I'll start by saying that our food was mostly decent save for the burger which was extremely overdone. I don't normally get overly concerned with service but there were a few things that really irked me.First I was sent with my ($85) pickup order with no cutlery. I went back in to ask for it and was handed two forks, one of which the packaging had already been opened and was told that's all they had. Which is unfortunate because 3 of us ordered soup.I also noticed after leaving that I was charged $0.75 for dressing for my salad. I can understand a charge for extra dressing, but I did not ask for extra anything. I was also charged for sauce for chicken strips. I was asked what kind of sauce I wanted for the chicken - no mention of an extra charge. Finally I was charged $3.00 for ordering takeout. Again this wouldn't really be as big of a deal if it was disclosed prior to me arriving to pick up my order.Would not eat here again and would not recommend. Just not worth the price and the hassle.“
“Me and my wife are on our anniversary trip from Washington. We decided to check out this unique restaurant as a mix of curiosity and being hungry after a long day of driving. We were greeted by Tracy right away. She was the best server you could ask for! She was patient with my indecisiveness on the menu (so many great dishes! We ended up getting a few different things) she was genuine and made sure we were taken care of promptly. The cocktails were great! The chowder was fantastic, and the oysters were phenomenal. The crab was fresh and we enjoyed every bit! The gator was good and I was pleasantly surprised at the exotic meats available. I highly recommend this place 11/10. A very unique and inviting atmosphere and you could not ask for better staff. Next time we are in the area we will be stopping in again! Thank you so much for the awesome experience!“
“This was a great spot! Everyone in our party of 4 wanted something different. We were able to make everyone happy here. The food was so tasty and the service was fantastic. Everyone was friendly and funny. It was really quiet (Tuesday night) but the decor inside was fun. There were a ton of souvenirs available for purchase too, so that is great for tourists! I'd definitely go back and try something else next time (because everyone loved their food so everything seemed good on the menu).“
“The service here is great!! The drinks are good and the staff here are very helpful. There is always a fun vibe once you get to the window. I appreciate how attentive they are and when we asked for a particular drink that was chocolate, no dairy, and no caffeine, they gave us a great option. Really appreciate this location, thank you.“
“Decent place, we had lunch here while visiting Astoria and checking out the Goonies Jail and house. Our twin 8 year old boys had the hamburger and PB&J which both come with chips, my wife had the Fish-Wich and I had the Salmon BLT with the Bouy IPA ( which was pretty good), we had curly fries with our sandwiches which was an extra $2 per order, it's not typical restaurant, you go to the counter to order and then a server/expediter brings out your food, refills you have to go up to the counter and they do not have fountain soft drinks it's all in cans or bottles except the iced tea. They have lots of menu options and clean bathrooms, service was good.“
