**the larder food cart does not have a google review page. To not hurt root and rye I changed my review to 4 stars even though they are a reflection of the food they have on their property and I hope other customers don’t experience the service we got.

Root and Rye was great, and the service there was friendly but couldn’t find a way to review the cart specifically. Unfortunately, we can’t say we’ll return due to an interaction with what we believe to be the owner of The Larder food cart.

When we were presented with the tip screen, there was no option for a custom tip, only preset amounts or zero. While we understand there are differing opinions on tipping culture, we ultimately selected zero because we intended to leave a custom tip. This was a service-window order for one appetizer, and we absolutely would have tipped if given the option.

We were told our small plate would be brought out to us, but when it was delivered, the interaction included snarky remarks and rude comments related to the tip selection. Both of us have worked in the service industry, and we cannot imagine returning to a guest to comment on a tip. Extremely unprofessional.

We eat out often and frequently tip for good service, but this was by far one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve had. Unfortunately, this interaction ruined our time & we decided to leave shortly after.

Also, if you are so worried about tips to support your employees a) pay them more yourself b) be kind to customers.”

“Had a great tasting experience here on a rainy afternoon! So cozy inside on the couches and our host Brit was so lovely to talk to. I loved hearing about the history of the place and seeing the soil in jars 🤓 and the wines were excellent. I loved and would totally buy almost all of the ones we tasted. Great spot for wine tasting year round and love the wines!”

“We had an amazing time during our visit! While we didn't sample every wine, the Cabernet Franc truly stood out for us. The winery itself is intriguing—it may appear to be a simple storefront in the city, but it boasts stunning views of the valley and mountains. We also enjoyed the bocce ball courts, and the staff provided a warm and friendly atmosphere. Plus, the prices were very reasonable!”

“This place has sentimental value for me, but even without that I give it 5/5. The wines were incredible, the view was absolutely amazing, and Mary Lou, who guided our tasting, was so knowledgeable and easy to talk to. We booked a tasting ahead of time, which is recommended. We went midweek, so we were actually the only people there for almost the entire tasting. A group came in as we were tasting our final wine and deciding on what to purchase. Reservations are recommended, but if they have room they’ll take you as a walk in! My parents were married here 31 years ago, so to be able to visit with my husband and experience it was incredible. I highly recommend visiting, buying some wine, and enjoying your time at Anne Amie! They will ship wine to you (depending upon the state you live in) and you can also ship it yourself from the Newberg Mail Room! You can buy their wines online, too. Amazing experience!”

“We showed up later in the evening on a busy Saturday for burgers and beer to celebrate a birthday. Kaytlyn was amazing, accommodating our group, providing great service, and even leading the Growler Room in a birthday song. Service with smile, great food...we love this place!”
