“Just had my first visit here and it was so good. The vegan pork belly is something I would have never ordered, but so glad my daughter did because it was amazing!! I got the fried rice which was also really good, and had asked them to add broccoli. Most places just toss a couple pieces on top when you make this request, but Van Hanh put a ton of perfect bite sized broccoli all through my fried rice. Perfect, and much appreciated by this broccoli lover. We will definitely be back!“

“Love Javi's. It's in our neighborhood and we can walk. It's such a welcoming and warm atmosphere the minute you walk in. They were busy on Sunday morning and we opted to sit at the bar, which is a cute 3 spaces. Bar stools aren't the most comfortable but we didn't want to wait for a table. I ordered the salmon eggs benedict and it was phenomenal. It was the special so if it's available when you visit, get it. So delicious. We also ordered bloody mary's and watched the bartender make them in front of us. Spicy with a long celery stick and green pimento olives. You can get bacon added if you want (we didn't). We love this place. The family that owns it is gracious and trains their team well as their service is excellent, friendly and an extension of the family. Javi's menu items for both breakfast and lunch items will keep everyone happy with enough options for the next time you visit. It's just a great, local restaurant that focuses on the quality of its food and service. Definitely go check it out.“

“This is a great first date place. The food presentation was outstanding. However, we felt it was a little blan. They use RC soda products here, which are flat at the bar but have carbonation if gotten from the back. Amazing happy hour!

“Had the pleasure of finally trying this coffee shop next to one of our favorite stores to check out! The coffee was super yummy and the pastries we all chose to pair with them were phenomenal! The potato leek pastry is to die for and we truly cannot wait until we can return! We live about an hour and a half from Portland so it’s always a treat to stop by and refuel here. Hopefully people feel inspired to branch out and try the offerings here because they are very much worth your time and enjoyment.“

For how fresh and delicious most of their menu items are, I was surprised at the burger quality - I’m almost certain it was a frozen patty, which seems so unlike this spot. I could be wrong, it just didn’t taste like what the price point makes it seem you’re getting. That said, everything else I’ve eaten here is fantastic.“

“My friend and I visit here every Friday evening. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Especially Jason. He remembers regulars, and is very genuinely caring about the people he serves. The servers, including Lupita, are very prompt and nice. Your drinks never go empty! We prefer this location because it’s not only open until 10pm, but because we have had such pleasant experiences with the staff. Food is pretty darn good too! Fresh breakfast meats and French toast! “I got the goat stew for my daughter and me. They were sold out of injeras, but the owner offered to substitute with rice and I was hesitant. Worried about the rice being dry. The aroma from the kitchen smelled so good, I decided to take a chance and order anyways. I am so glad I did! Everything was amazing!! The goat was tender, the cabbage and salad complimented the stew very well, and the rice was delicious. My toddler ate it all. We will definitely be back for more!“

“During quick trip Portland, Oregon, I had to get my Vietnamese food fix at Hanoi Kitchen The bun bo hue and banh cuon were excellent. Bun Bo Hue had a rich deep flavorful broth with pork blood and pork legs. The banh cuon was soft and delicious with fresh cha lua. 5/5 Stars would recommend! ⭐️“

I see other reviews say it's too salty- I love salty/savory so if you don't, keep that in mind. The Nam Khao is my favorite and I genuinely feel sad whenever I finish it because there isn't more. Second favorite is the Tom Yum. Amazing on a cold and rainy day. Lao sausage- amazing. Wings- delicious. Everything I've tried has been flav-or-ful. Anytime someone asks me where they should eat in town, I say Cully Central. In fact, I'm craving some now!“

One of our party is a loyal fan of their empanadas. La Arepa NE served us our first arepas and we were hooked! The sauces are distinct and delicious. There are dairy free and vegan options. “got there around 1pm on a Sunday, it took about 10 minutes for us to get a table- pretty cozy restaurant and fairly busy. Got our dishes within 5-10 minutes of ordering. The only downside is our A1 dish did not come with bokchoy and it took a minute for us to flag down a lady and took another 5 minutes for them to bring out some chopped bokchoy in a small bowl. The fish also wasn’t really minced but more like big chunks of cod…but we did enjoy the liver dishes, the sauce that came with 19 was very good and paired well with the dish. The youtiaos were also pretty good and tasted freshly made. As for the fresh soy milk, I perferred the cold over the hot and it tasted good but the soy flavor wasnt as strong as other places that I tried before. If I were to go back I’d for sure would like to try more of their liver dishes.“
