This makes me a little picky about strange things like, employee retention, a love and involvement from owners, a mutual respect among employees, excellence in service, attention to details. Last but not least- knowing their customers- how they like how what when and where is remembered and held somewhat sacred. Being a regular here is being part of a family as staff or clientele. As long as I have breath in my body and they will have me I will host a show here for my own sanity and well being. More places should pay attention to how these people do business on all ends. “We had an amazing dining experience at Seize The Cafe. The staff was so welcoming, genuine and friendly. The at home atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. The service was spot on. But the most wonderful thing about this gem of a restaurant, is the food. Clearly Chef Chad loves food. You can taste it in every bite. He is skilled in creating scrumptious flavors and unbeatable meals. Can't wait to go back! and don't hesitate to order pie and ice cream to round out your meal. Both homemade and absolutely out of this world.“

“Oh my god... the poutine!!! My first time.. and yes, a die and go to heaven moment. Fries smothered in gravy with cheese curds! We just ate at Falling Sky Brewing I had the most luscious cubano! With crispy and juicy shredded pork, ham, cheese and pickles squished to deliciousness. And the perfect amout of mustard... the mustard is what makes it for me! With a side kale ceasar, a perfect pairing. Hubby had the Ruben, with house made pastrami and saurkrawt. Not too sour, on a marbled rye. He loved it. Son had a grilled chicken club with parmesagn garlic fries. Another win! We all drank their homemade ginger ale and root beer.“

“Had the Pub burger with Havarti cheese and fries. The burger was cooked the way I had asked for. The waitress was friendly, but when I asked for a refill on my soda, she never mentioned that they charge full price for a refill of soda. If knew, I wouldn't have asked for another. Please let customers know so they know what to expect on the bill. Other than that, I was happy with my visit.

“Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior camouflage, this joint is serving up the most delicious and best value bar food in Eugene, in a sparkling clean authentic dive bar atmosphere. The Rusty Sliders are familiar to those who frequented the original iteration of Laurelwood Pub, and the side salads are so gorgeous you will be forgiven for imagining you are in a bougie bistro.

Make sure you ask about daily specials (the vague waitress didn't clue us in) and always ALWAYS order the cheesecake on Fridays. We will be regulars now, especially when the new Ducks football season starts.

Excellent tap selection and even better pricing. A few in my party mentioned they would like to see a couple of local wines vs the basic stuff available but perhaps they are in the general minority.“

“I came here very unsure. Do not like trying new to me things. This restaurant hooked me. The lady was very nice and accommodating and answered my questions. I had the braised beef bowl sub chicken, added cheese and sour cream minus chipotle bbq sauce. It was awesome. It had flavor, a tiny bite that I liked… normally do not like any. The grilled chicken was done, moist and very well seasoned. Not over bearing, but mouth watering. I now have a new favorite!“

“My husband and I took friends to the Sunday brunch Sept 8 to celebrate their 62nd anniversary. I had been there with my sisters about a month ago and was pleased with most everything. I made 10:00 reservations. We got there a little early so the waiter asked us to sit down and they’d be with us shortly. After about a 12 minute wait the same waiter came up to us and asked if we had been helped. I said yes we were waiting for you to seat us. He had forgotten us. We ordered coffee from a waitress. Twenty minutes later and no coffee we grabbed another waitress and asked her to get us coffee. Instead of being offered refills on coffee we had to ask for it. Needless to say we were very disappointed in the service. On the other hand the food was very good. Unfortunately good food alone does not make the best experience. Don’t know if we’ll be back. All but the service was great. 😓“

“The employee help me out to understand how things worked here. He showed me that you can pretty much make everything vegan. I ordered a few things that were already vegan and they were delicious. I would definitely go back again especially because of the customer service. It was a plus. The kale Caesar salad was great. As well as there Thai bowl. I ordered their chips and mediam spicy salsa with guac. And a berry berry smoothie. Loved it.“
