“I have always been more than happy with the special #2. The portion sizes are huge and I love it. Id prefer less sweet and sour sauce in the box when you order it to go, but it seems like theres always a relatively equal mix of fully sauced chicken pieces and some only about half. So you can elect to drown your chicken in more of the delicious sauce or eat a half doused ones as is. The chow mein is perfect. Pork fried rice is a great addition that lets you enjoy rice with some appreciated flavor. I originally didnt like the crab puffs but they grew on me quickly.

Ive seen some complain that the outside needs more cleaning or that the environment needs some adjustment. I think the concerns of the outside are fair enough, but Ive never felt the place was unclean. If anything, I take small town restaurants with dated exteriors but fine interiors as a sign of the truly good stuff. And my experience with Jade terrace has basically just been that: the good stuff.

“A LOT of their menu can be made vegan with tofu as the option. Make sure to ask them to not use their tempura batter on the tofu as it's not vegan. The appetizers are not vegan except for the lettuce rolls if you get it with tofu, but the veggies are fresh and this is a mainstay when I'm in Salem. I go here at least once a week when Im in the area.“

“It is hard to find good breakfast in this area and Cafe 22 hits the spot. I love their peaches, the pancake thickness isnt overly cakey and hard to swallow. The bacon is thick and cooked just right. The raspberry jam is real raspberry jam. The water mentioned in the another review is because they are on a well so it does taste little bit more tinnish, a lemon wedge in my water cured that. Stopped by the fruit stand for fresh strawberries, on the spendy side, but oh the flavor, absolutely nothing beats an Oregon strawberry. Had I known they did strawberry short cake, I woulda skipped the breakfast and went straight to the fruit stand.“

“Staff was prompt and responsive. I ordered the Prime Rib Special. It came out remarkably fast. Medium rare as requested. Unfortunately the baked potato was over done and yet cool. The prime rib was lukewarm. The horseradish sauce was off- I can’t tell why but it had a peculiar flavor that should not have been there. Seasoning of the prime rib was on point and so was the zip sauce. I wasn’t feeling up to potential confrontation so when they asked how the food was I just said good. With prime rib it’s hard because if they warmed it then it might not have come back medium rare…also there was no steak knife but again I didn’t ask“

“Where to begin? The location looks great, and it has a good vibe to it. The customer service is top notch, my server was very nice and even put some special attention with a message on our anniversary order bag (very sweet!).

Now the food. The flavor on the beef ramen is fantastic. The beef is tender, the noodles are cooked perfectly and all the veggies tasted fresh. The Takoyaki here has to be some of the best in Salem. I also tried the fried chicken bun for the first time, great flavor, soft bun and crispy chicken in the middle.

My wife ordered the chicken stir fry ramen, fresh veggies, fried chicken all tasted amazing.

“picture is exactly how I received it. BEWARE DON'T GO TO THIS LOCATION!! My whole family had food poisoning i personally almost had to go to the hospital!!!!. I was almost instantly sick after eating two slices!! The manger Melanie is very unpleasant. I have been going to abbys pizza forever and every since she came along my visits have been horrible. My pizza was raw. Was gave to me a MESS. I paid over 30$ for a undercooked horrible pizza and left feeling very unhappy. I highly recommend going to any Abby's pizza BESIDES this one!! And if it's your first time their don't let it distort your view on Abby's as a whole. Just go to a different one. I promise you will be amazed at the difference! I still have the raw pizza. Have not received any call back from the other manager Johnathan which I was promised to hear from. I will be warning as many people as I can about this place. I have worked in customer service jobs and I know it's hard but there is no reason to be rude or scoff at people who are simply making a small request. Especially being not one time but two different times serving me a raw bad pizza. Which was requested politely to be cooked a little longer in the oven on thin crust to make it well done. Neither of those I got. when this time I made sure to come in way earlier to hope it would be not raw. When I had arrived my pizza had been done already. I proceeded to wait over 25 minutes on the spuds after the fact? So my pizza was cold. Both orders placed at the same time Made no sense why my pizza was raw when they had plenty of time in that 25 mins to throw it back in the oven which I asked and she scoffed at me and said it was to late.“

“The most special-occasion restaurant I patronize. Classy ambience, view, sharp personnel. As a senior dining alone I don't feel as comfortable here as I would at Josey's, say, otherwise I would patronize them weekly. I lunch only, and have had what I would call pub grub. Regulars who review on other forums report that the kitchen is capable of performing at a very high level. An exceptional venue for Salem and it deserves to live.“

I’ve tried the Hong Kong noodle dish (crunchy noodles and sauce on top) and the Vermicelli noodle bowl and both are wonderful. My husband likes the classic
Fried rice and crab puffs. This is also my toddlers favorite restaurant to go to. Her favorite food is Pho with beef balls.
I like this place so much I asked for a gift card for Christmas haha!
