“First off: the best Thai food I have ever had. Period.

You feel like you are in someone's home and they are cooking a special home cooked meal for you. The service is incredible and just makes you feel even cozier in this restaurant converted house.

I had the eggrolls, the Thai iced tea, and the drunken noodles. The ice tea was out of this world. If you love Thai Tea like I do you know how disappointing it is when you go some places and it just tastes like black tea with some cinnamon sugar in it, but this has all the spicy qualities I love and good even sweetness to pull it all together.

The egg rolls are built large, and larger than you're thinking or can be shown in a picture. 4 egg rolls is perfect for 4 people as they can be a meal on their own.

The waitress described the heat levels as: 1. None, 2. A little, and 3. Fire coming out of top of mountain. I got the #2 and it was absolutely perfect while still being hot. I'm gonna assume #3 is real Thai spicy for real spice heads. The drunken noodles were also the best I've ever had. Amazing freshness and bite in all the vegetables, noodles, and meat, but the little fried basil leaves were just a joy I always love to have.

I come to Salem about once a month for work, and I'm sad I hadn't discovered this place earlier. I'm gonna try and have everything on the menu eventually, and I eagerly anticipate my next visit.“

“I came to pick up some food for my ailing wife. I was paying and I left a tip, but before he would hand me my food, he rudely asked, “DID YOU LEAVE A TIP?” And wouldn’t let go of the sack until I gave an answer. He didn’t even bother to look at the receipt that I had just signed to see that I did leave a tip. I find this very rude behavior…we always leave generous tips when we go inside to sit down and dine… But to ask is very rude behavior.. I did leave 15% for takeout as well but since he asked, I really wish I would not have. Perhaps someone could school him and tell him this is not good customer service.“

It’s a small restaurant and they are very busy. We really enjoyed the pancakes. They were fluffy and fresh. Will definitely visit again!“

Their portions are generous,,,I always leave with a Togo box and a smile. “Great food and service. Ordered butter Naan, chicken biriyani, chilli chicken, chicken tikka masala, mango lassi. Bottled water was included in the price. Everything except tikka masala was really good. Tikka masala was just ordinary which surprised us as all other dishes were top notch. Highly recommend.“

Wonderful service. I regularly go here for the Thai tea, which is always smooth and tastes fantastic. The tea is brewed well, flavored well, balanced well. I have traveled all over the country and would rank this Thai tea as top five in flavor and consistency. Their food is also delicious. It is clearly made with love. Fried rice is moist, savory, not greasy at all. I am picky about meat and texture. Their meat is well cooked and prepared. The noodles are perfect texture. The rice. Ive tried everything on the menu at this point. The vegetables are cooked perfectly, not too soft or hard, has their fresh flavor, not overpowered by spice. Delicious. Zucchini and eggplant are firm and soft, not soggy.

Curries are delicious. Service is kind. They get really busy sometimes, but never rude and they do all they can to be timely inside or when one orders to go. Lunch special is $12 and you get 2 gyoza, with yummy dipping sauce. ♡“

“This place has always felt like what would happen if a Michelin star chef decided to retire and open a cozy diner. Everything has a flair to it that just makes it better. Cannot recommend it enough. “One of our go to places! I absolutely love their shrimp fried rice. It’s light, flavorful and always tastes so fresh. My husband gets the beef with mushrooms and fried rice and loves it too. “It is hard to find good breakfast in this area and Cafe 22 hits the spot. I love their peaches, the pancake thickness isnt overly cakey and hard to swallow. The bacon is thick and cooked just right. The raspberry jam is real raspberry jam. The water mentioned in the another review is because they are on a well so it does taste little bit more tinnish, a lemon wedge in my water cured that. Stopped by the fruit stand for fresh strawberries, on the spendy side, but oh the flavor, absolutely nothing beats an Oregon strawberry. Had I known they did strawberry short cake, I woulda skipped the breakfast and went straight to the fruit stand.“

My one wish is that some day the Yumm sauce will get elevated to eliminate the bad things in the ingredients such as canola oil. Why not olive or avocado oil? Just would make it that much healthier!! “Miranda and Team were SO helpful in accommodating allergies to gluten, dairy and shrimp. I was impressed they not only had GF soy sauce, but gave GF Tamari packets to go for the leftovers (68 pieces of sushi for $67). They had GF batter for frying (a shared fryer, so not recommended for Celiac but I just have a gluten sensitivity) which was also a special treat. They went above and beyond and the sushi was excellent and fresh!“

“Clean, beautiful, historical building with shady patio outback. I had the BBQ chicken salad—huge portion with tender, well-marinated chicken and fresh veggies. The husband enjoyed a Caesar salad with crispy chicken. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely would recommend.“
