“Don’t judge this place by the outside of the building because inside we were treated by great food, service, and atmosphere! We were blown away by the service as our waitress had phenomenal energy and was honestly one of the most genuinely nice people I’ve ever met!! We tried the Tom Yum, madman curry, and ginger stir fry and found the taste and portions to be exelent! We will absolutely be back next time we are headed through Salem area!“

“I came to pick up some food for my ailing wife. I was paying and I left a tip, but before he would hand me my food, he rudely asked, “DID YOU LEAVE A TIP?” And wouldn’t let go of the sack until I gave an answer. He didn’t even bother to look at the receipt that I had just signed to see that I did leave a tip. I find this very rude behavior…we always leave generous tips when we go inside to sit down and dine… But to ask is very rude behavior.. I did leave 15% for takeout as well but since he asked, I really wish I would not have. Perhaps someone could school him and tell him this is not good customer service.“

“Lunch is like a 3 coarse meal at a very low cost. Two of us went. We picked from the lunch menu, received their complimentary appetizer with garnishes, our lunch, and an orange with an umbrella (cute). Total was less than $22. Cannot eat anywhere in Salem at lunch for 2 at this price. Great food!!“

“I can’t say enough good things about Mint Leaf Bistro! We were on the hunt for a new Indian restaurant, and thanks to my husband, we found a gem! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the food is absolutely delicious, and the service was just spectacular! Every bite was a delight. this is by far the best Indian food we’ve had in a long time. Plus, the lassis were so refreshing on a very hot day, and the portions were very generous. I am excited to have my leftovers for lunch tomorrow, at work! We will be coming back often!“

“We were in Salem for a concert at the Elsinore Theatre on Friday, November 1st, and were lucky enough to find the Wild Pear, to get something to eat before concert. I wanted to try everything on the menu, it sounded so good! I ordered the Butternut soup & Pear salad. Both were fabulous, & I can't wait to drive back to Salem to check out other items on the menu. We had awesome service and were greeted & shown to a table right away. You will not be disappointed! I will definitely be back, & wish you were closer to Vancouver, WA!!“

“It is hard to find good breakfast in this area and Cafe 22 hits the spot. I love their peaches, the pancake thickness isnt overly cakey and hard to swallow. The bacon is thick and cooked just right. The raspberry jam is real raspberry jam. The water mentioned in the another review is because they are on a well so it does taste little bit more tinnish, a lemon wedge in my water cured that. Stopped by the fruit stand for fresh strawberries, on the spendy side, but oh the flavor, absolutely nothing beats an Oregon strawberry. Had I known they did strawberry short cake, I woulda skipped the breakfast and went straight to the fruit stand.“

“I and my partner went to Olive garden Sunday April 12th for a little date night and our server was the lovely Brigitte E. She is by far the best server we've had here, to the point I may ask for her section next time we go. She was kind, personable/social, easy to talk to, and very attentive with us and all her other tables. She was more enjoyable and presentable than the hosts up front! I could tell she enjoys her job or enjoys people.
We unfortunately could not do the survey because the machine they bring to the table didn't like our chip haha, but I wanted to make sure she still got some recognition in a job field that doesn't come with much in the first place.
I also want to add in here that we tend to be dressed down especially me since i have to dress up for my job, which is important because one of the last servers we had kinda made us feel like the unimportant table in his section and I could see us getting side looks from him I wish I could remember his name.“

“A good take n' bake pizza, so if you have a little extra time you can pick these up and in 10-12 minutes have a hot pizza. During October they have a Jack o lantern pizza.

Vegetarian options: They have dozens of different veggie toppings.

Dietary restrictions: My daughter has a friend with allergies to gluten and this was one place that can accommodate her.

Kid-friendliness: They have mini pizza kits so that your kiddos can put their pizzas together. That's what I would always get my girls.

I was impressed they not only had GF soy sauce, but gave GF Tamari packets to go for the leftovers (68 pieces of sushi for $67). They had GF batter for frying (a shared fryer, so not recommended for Celiac but I just have a gluten sensitivity) which was also a special treat. They went above and beyond and the sushi was excellent and fresh!“

“It's Pub food. Good and plenty. Plain and simple. Service is excellent and not intrusive. I tend to pre-tip by guessing what I'll order and pre-tip the wait person at order time. I get good results-they know they already have a tip and have a feeling how good the tip will be. Suddenly the service is great . Think about it.“
