“This is one of my favorite places to eat downtown. Staff knows the menu so well. And is kind to make sure everything they prepare meets your dietary needs. Drinks are wonderful. And while the main dining room is great the bar behind the restaurant is a good hack with the same menu on a busy night.“

“I didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. The spicy sausage with penne was delicious; sauce was nicely balanced and had clearly been well simmered. Noodles were a little more cooked than al dente, but not mushy. Service was prompt and friendly. Not sure what else to ask for. For quick counter serve pasta, this place rocks.“

“We went to Grassa today at the request of a coworker. We walked in 12 deep and were able to find a table that fit all of us. We placed our order at the counter, food came to us and was delicious and fresh. Everything we tried was better than the thing we tried before it. The Cesar salad, pork belly mac and cheese, bacon wrapped dates and the canolli, 10/10. Price was also awesome. We all ate and took home food for just under $400.
You will not be dissapointed. They also have a unique cocktail list I hope to make it back and try.“

“Legitimately one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever experienced in the US. I have lived in Italy and my husband is Italian and we thoroughly enjoyed everything about our dinner. The wine selection is varied and thoughtfully curated. We enjoyed a bottle of Sardinian Carignano which is a rare find in the states. The prices are more than reasonable. We had a lovely locally sourced steak that melted in the mouth for $32. Bread is homemade fresh TWICE daily and the meat and cheeses were top quality If you’re looking for AUTHENTIC Italian in Portland, look no further. Nero Gallo has it all; great food, prices, staff, atmosphere and we will most definitely be back.“

However, when I went today with my family, the food was overwhelmingly salty across all of our different pastas and their sauces (pesto, red sauce, carbonara). I loved the crunch and texture of the nuts but could not finish my pesto dish.

I am disappointed and hope this is a fluke where kitchen staffing was negatively affected by the holiday weekend.“

We own a catering company, and my husband is a classically trained chef with over 35 years of experience, so we definitely appreciate great food and great service when we find it. We travel quite a bit and always make it a point to stop here when flying into Portland on our way to Cannon Beach and Seaside.

“Tucci has a vast menu with options galore and reasonable prices. The service has always been excellent. They have a policy of no corkage fee so bring a bottle of wine with you! The only downside is the restaurant can be quite noisy, so be aware.“

It's also an absolute gem for romance—perfect for an anniversary or just a top-tier date night. The antipasto was a knockout—Dungeness crab with a hint of heat paired perfectly with a fresh popover. Even the Oyster Casino won me over, and I normally don't touch oysters. They even pulled off a Gorgonzola iceberg salad that I couldn't stop eating. Don has this incredible knack for balancing flavors so perfectly that my "no-go" ingredients became the highlights of the night. A total win for a special night out. I'll definitely be back. Unfortunately no pictures because the food was gone before I remembered to take a picture :).“

“My daughter and I went to Adelleda for brunch on Sunday and it was fabulous. Each item on the menu was so enticing we had a hard time choosing. The Honus Wagner, chicken and waffle style fried oyster mushrooms over waffles with truffle syrup, was incredible. Ultra crispy mushrooms paired so well with the syrup and waffles. The Bobby Bonilla beet pastrami sandwich was a many layered flavor bomb. Such a great play of textures and spices. And Mr. 350 was the best version of chilaquiles I have ever had. Better than any in Tucson. We got to sample brioche straight from the oven and are still dreaming about it. Slathered in house made vegan butter and, no shame, dunked in that truffle syrup. There Will Be Blood was a mighty fine Bloody Mary but the Pina Caliente blew my cocktail loving mind. Smokey from the mezcal, spicy and smooth as pineapple silk. Huge kudos to the mixologist!!! The atmosphere was lovely and chill and the service made us feel special. A real gem!!!!“

“Gusto is this hidden gem in Newberg that I just want to tell everyone about! The staff here are incredibly friendly and the food here is always always *chef's kiss*. All of their food is made in house...breads, pastas, gelato etc - they even have the flours for sale! If you are looking for casual Italian food, this place will not disappoint - every dollar spent here is worth it!
